Abandoned Buildings in Belgrade (part 3)
Third part of our series of videos showing abandoned buildings and desolated places in Belgrade, Serbia.
Filming locations (in order of appearance):
- Sawmill Simović in Zabrežje, Obrenovac. This industrial complex was built in 1903 and was, at that time, the biggest and most modern sawmill in Kingdom of Serbia. The first owner, Aleksandar Simović was shot after German occupation in 1945 by communist partisans although he actively supported the resistance movement. The factory was confiscated and name changed to Bora Marković. After the fall of communism and breakup of socialist Yugoslavia, the factory slowly went out of business and went bankrupt in 2011. A large fire broke in 2016 and destroyed most of the buildings.
- Prva iskra armatura, Barič. Holding company Prva iskra was founed in 1938 in Barič, a suburb of Serbian capital. The company consisted of 16 factories, Prva iskra armatura being one of them. During NATO bombing in 1999, large parts of factory were damaged and many buildings destroyed.
- Beobanka building, Zeleni venac. This building dates back to 1960, when it was built for the needs of construction and architecture company Energoprojekt. Later, it went into possession of Beobanka, one of the largest banks in Yugoslavia. The bank went bankrupt in 2002 after controversial decision of the goverment. Beobanka building is in its present condition since 2007, when façade and building were stripped to construction.

Vožnja regionalnim putem od Kanjiže do Kovilja,a onda nastavak autoputem preko zaobilaznice do Beograda (Skojevsko naselje).
Zbog neobeleženih radova na putu, ovaj put se neplanirano odužio nekih 25km. Prelazak preko mosta kod mesta Ada je bio nemoguć zbog radova, tako da sam umesto preko Ade, Mola i Bečeja, morao da idem okolo, do mesta Novo Miloševo, Novi Bečej i na izlasku iz Bečeja, kod kružnog toka se vratio na prvobitnu maršutu.

Driving in Serbia: Beograd - Novi Sad, via: Krnješevci, Stara Pazova, Sremski Karlovci, Petrovatadin
Voznja malo drugačijim putem od Beograda do Novog Sada.
Preko Vidikovca smo izašli na zaobilaznicu oko Beograda, zatim se uključili na autoput prema Šidu, do mesta Krnješevci.
Tu smo se isključili i išli jako lošim putem do Stare Pazove.
Onda smo nastavili starim Novosadskim putem preko Inđije, Sremskih Karlovaca i Petrovaradina, da bi preko novog Žeželjevog mosta ušli u Novi Sad.

Catholic population in Jajce present 4 dances at SUFJ meeting in Jajce, Sept 1968.
In September 1968, the SUFJ (Union of Associated Folklorists of Yugoslavia) had their 15th annual meeting in Jajce, Bosnia. At the meetin, Jelena Dopuđa, Bosnian folklorist working on dance, brought several village groups from areas near Jajce to the meetings to perform some of their traditional songs and dances. She brought at least one group of each ethnic/religious background: Serbs/Orthodox Christians, Croatians/Catholics, Muslims. In this video we see a group of 10-12 Catholic singers/dancers present 4 dances which they normally do at various events in and around Jajce where they live. The dances are 1.Koj za kolo, hajd' u kolo,
2. Kolanje to song Btelo Jacje, mjesto kamenito,
3. A ko nam je u kolo (a Biračko kolo),
4. Macino kolo.
