Gembu-Banyo Border Crossing, from Nigeria to Cameroon.
This could be the toughest border crossing in my Trans-Africa overlanding journey.
For those who new to my channel:
I have been slowly traveling around the world since 2009.
I crossed North America and Silk Road ( China-Italy) by bicycle.
Currently I am traveling on a 1995 Honda XRV 750. From Europe down to South Africa.
But, I since I landed at Tangier, Morocco on February, 2019. I spent over two years in West Africa, and still not crossed Equator line yet.
So the journey continues ....

Des camions et des hommes - Cameroun / Brésil : les routes de boue
Dans les régions tropicales, pendant la saison des pluies, camions et chauffeurs sont mis à rude épreuve quand ils empruntent des pistes boueuses. Au Brésil, la route BR156 présente quelques dangereux tronçons qui n'empêchent pas Sandro, passionné de camions, d'aller ravitailler des villages isolés au coeur de la forêt amazonienne. Benjamin, conducteur expérimenté d'autobus, fait quant à lui face à des défis semblables sur les routes vaseuses du centre du Cameroun. En plus des écueils liés à la présence de boue, il doit composer avec des passagers et des automobilistes parfois impatients en raison des retards engendrés par l'état du chemin.

Xaime's (sales of clothes and accessories) organised yesterday at the Reunification Monument in Yaoundé a ceremony to celebrate their first anniversary.
We used this opportunity to tour the famous 'Monument de la Réunification'.
The monument is located in Yaoundé Cameroun, just beside the French Embassy and the Ministry of Defense.
This monument was constructed in the 1970s to commemorate the post-colonial merging of British and French Cameroon. The architects of the monument are Gedeon Mpondo and Engelbert Mveng and somewhere in the video, you will see the inscription of their names on one of the pillars of the monument.

In this extreme Nigeria travel experience to Gembu, in the Mambila Plateau, we journeyed by road for 20hours and at some point, on a canoe carrying our bus and entire passengers to cut short the journey. The Mambilla Plateau is a plateau in the Taraba State of Nigeria, the plateau is Nigeria's northern continuation of the Bamenda Highlands of Cameroon. The Mambilla Plateau has an average elevation of about 1,600 meters (5,249 ft) above sea level, making it the highest plateau in Nigeria.

The Mambilla or Mambila people of Nigeria live on the Mambilla plateau (in 'Sardauna' local government area of Taraba State in Nigeria). A small fraction of Mambilla migrants left the Mambilla Plateau for the Ndom Plain (also known as the Tikar Plain) on the Cameroon side of the international border as well as in a couple of small villages, such as New Namba, further north towards the towns of Gashaka and Banyo. The preferred ethnonym is spelt Mambila in Cameroon and Mambilla in Nigeria. Norr is also used (the word for person in Nigerian dialects of Mambilla).
mambilla people are one of the unique culture in Africa they are bantu who remain home following the great bantu split.
The Common Mambilla or Tungbo Dialect is the most widely understood Mambila dialect in Nigeria. It is also the literary language of Mambilla for the vast majority who inhabit the Mambilla Plateau. The Mambila New Testament known as 'Li Fa' and several Mambilla Language study texts are written in the Common Mambilla dialect for Nigeria. A New Testament in Ju Ba is also available for speakers of Cameroonian dialects.

Nous voilà enfin au Cameroun ! La route est épuisante pour venir jusqu'ici, parfois c'est trop difficile pour nous avec notre camping-car. Heureusement, le paysage est magnifique ! Cela reste une aventure inoubliable mais épuisante.
