TOP 5 BEST THAI DISHES! | My Favorite Thai Food in Bangkok, Thailand!

Huge thank you to Greg from Travizeo for filming and making this video!
Subscribe now: for 2 new videos every week.
A totally different style video today, hope you enjoy it!

One of the most common questions I get asked is Mark, “what are your favorite Thai foods?” And so when Greg was in Bangkok I thought it would be an awesome idea to cover when he was filming with his amazing video skills.

By the way, Greg films cinematic travel videos for brands and promotions, and he also happens to love to eat! Go check out his videos ( and website for more details ( And I was very excited when he offered to film and edit a video for me.

Choosing my favorite Thai dishes is a very hard thing to do, but I narrowed it down.

1. Braised beef fire pot (เกาเหลาเนื้อหม้อไฟ) at Heng Chun Seng (ร้าน เฮ้งชุนเส็ง) - There’s just about nothing better to eat for breakfast in Bangkok, and after trying quite a few versions, Heng Chun Seng is still my favorite. The beef is tender and most of all the soup is so fragrant from the herbs and beef. Google map:

2. Holy basil stir fry (กระเพราหมูสับ) at Ung Jia Huad (ร้านอึ้งเจี่ยฮวด) - If there’s one dish that could be the most popular and beloved easy to eat Thai food, it’s holy basil stir fry (with your choice of meat). It’s a dish that always hits the spot. Google map:

3. Green papaya salad (ตำปูปลาร้า) Stall on Sukhumvit - You’ll find green papaya salad on just about every street corning in Bangkok and throughout Thailand. My favorite version is som tam boo plaraa, dressed with fermented fish sauce.

4. Fish viscera curry (แกงไตปลา) at Janhom (ร้านจันทร์หอม) - Southern Thai food is always a favorite of mine, and gaeng tai pla, or a curry made with fish viscera is one of the most flavorful Thai foods of them all. Google map:

5. Jungle curry (แกงป่า) at Pla Mae Nam (ร้านปลาแม่น้ำ) - A dish I just can’t get over, and have to order every chance I have, is Thai jungle curry. It’s an amazing mixture of chilies and herbs, and in this case, fish. This is also one of my favorite restaurants in Bangkok at the moment as well. Google map:

There it is, 5 of my favorite dishes in Thailand. Thank you for watching this video!

Again, huge thank you to Greg from Travizeo for filming and editing this entire video!

This is Why BANGKOK IS THE BEST CITY in the WORLD ???????? Thai Food

Our first day in Bangkok we wandered around Chinatown and Song Wat, the city's oldest street. Had a delicious Noodle Prawn Wonton Crab Claw at Odean Noodle. Saw the largest golden Buddha - truly breathtaking! Learned about Song Wat's rich history. Visited a beautiful Mosque. Tried some food at the Bangkok Vegetarian Food Festival in Yaowarat. Ended the day trying Thai Durian on the street.

This is the start of 6 weeks in Thailand and I'm so excited to see more of this beautiful country.

You HAVE to visit this THAI STREET FOOD market in Bangkok, Thailand ????????

Yaoworat Road in Bangkok is the HEART of Bangkok Chinatown - home to some of the BEST Street Food in the world, some even with Michelin Stars! In this video, I visit Bangkok Chinatown for the FIRST TIME at night. We have lived in Thailand for 5 months now, with over a month of that in Bangkok - and we never went!
I try my FIRST EVER Tom Yum Goong, a traditional Thai Dessert, and something unique I have never seen before. There are also plenty of Street Performers and Buskers on Yaoworat Road, just adding to the atmosphere at this amazing and iconic Thai Street Food scene!
After stepping out on to Yaoworat Road from the hotel, I could feel the Street Food energy and vibe - truly, there is nowhere else like this on the planet when it comes to Street Food and Food Culture - just amazing!

Thailand's amazing Mae Klong Railway Market, day trip from Bangkok- All you need to know.

The trip to the Maeklong Railway Market then on to Wat Bang Kung and one of the floating markets is one of the best excursions from Bangkok.

A highlight is seeing a train pass through the market. This happens eight times a day. Current train times are as folllows:

arrivals: 8.30, 11.10, 14.30 and 17.40
departures: 6.20, 9.00, 11.30, and 15.30

Buses from Bangkok's Southern Bus Station cost around Bt100 (US$3.50) each way.

A seat on a tour bus to the Railway Market and to one of the floating markets costs around Bt900 for the day.

An air-conditioned taxi costs around Bt1500. This is good value for four people. This also allows you to take a short train ride through the market if the taxi drops you off at a station north of Maeklong and then picks you up later at the market. The train costs Bt10.

Red Lotus Floating Market - Bang Len Thailand

Just 60 kilometres northwest of Bangkok in Bang Len district of Nakhon Pathom, the Red Lotus Floating Market is fairly easy to get to. Open from 9am to 6pm daily, the main attraction includes a 24 rai (roughly 9 acre) pond filled with lotus flowers and plants.

For a 100 baht fee at the pier, visitors can take a boat service to tour the large pond. You can also pay for a drone service that will take arial photos for 40 baht per picture or 250 baht for unlimited shots. A paddle boat pond with fish feeding enhance the experience for children.

Shops selling food (and other products) are situated around the pond under shaded walkways. With street art and retro style decor, the setting is very relaxed, and you can enjoy both savory and sweet dishes, including a variety of Thai desserts.

I show you in this video what the market looks like now and what to expect if you visit there. Enjoy the video!

► WHO AM I?

I am a Brazilian-American journalist living in Florida. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!

P.S.: The funny guy who appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and he's actually camera-shy, that's why he's behind the camera most of the time ????

BANGKOK, Thailand: things to do and to know | Tourism Thailand vlog 1

Bangkok, Thailand is the most visited city in the world, and in this series, I'll show you all about Bangkok: things to do, where to go, what you need to know, and even the scams in tourism. Thailand is a wonderful country, but you always need to be aware of prices and opening hours of the attractions before leaving the hotel. In this first video, you'll see Lumphini Park (or Lumpini), the beautiful Wat Saket temple (also known as Golden Mount/Golden Mountain), the Chao Phraya river and Icon Siam, a new and very unique mall.

► Bookmark this playlist, as in the next vlogs, more things to do in Bangkok:
► Here's the floating market video I mentioned in the vlog: (look at my baby face in my first trip to Thailand ????????)

The original video is in English, this is an automatic translation to help you watch in your own language. There are subtitles as well, you can activate them by typing C (desktop) or clicking the video, then at settings at the top of the screen (mobile).

This entire trip to Thailand was before the lockdown. Please note that, at the moment, Thailand is closed to international visitors. But this series will be a great guide for when you can travel to Thailand again.

WHY I LOVE BANGKOK: Hidden Gems Beyond the Khaosan Road | Travel Guide

Bangkok in 2020 is more than just the Khoasan Road. This is a travel guide covering all of the must see sights and hidden gems that you can't miss on your trip.

Over the 8 months, I've been to Bangkok on 6 separate visits and this video is a culmination of all of my favourite things to do: Including the best floating market, best rooftop bars, the most epic malls, an amazing luxury hotel and the most unique hipster hangouts. I've tried to avoid the main famous sights and focus on some lesser known places.

EVERYTHING IN THIS VIDEO (INCLUDING PRICES):
Use the time codes to skip to any area you are interested in.

0:00 - Why I think Bangkok is underrated
Looking at why a lot of people leave Bangkok with a bad impression and why you should avoid the famous Khoa San Road.

01:15 - Khlom Lat Mayom Floating Market
For my money, this is the best floating market in the city. It is also one of the best places to try delicious locally cooked Thai food.

SALT BAKED FISH PRICE: 240 BAHT
$7.49 USD / £5.80

02:07 - Chao Phraya River Tour
Bangkok’s waterways are full of local life and nature. The best way to see them is by taking the boat trip from the pier at the Khlom Lat Mayom market. It includes a stop at a Lotus farm.

GROUP BOAT TOUR PRICE (per person): 100 BAHT
$3.12 USD / £2.42 GBP

PRIVATE BOAT TOUR PRICE (whole boat): 400 BAHT
$12.48 USD / £9.67 GBP

03:29 - Bangkok’s Affordable Luxury Hotels
Bangkok has a lot of cheap accommodation options, but this is a look at the highest of luxury. Which is expensive, but more affordable than you might think…

RESIDENTIAL SUITE AT THE MARRIOTT SURAWONGSE: 6000 BAHT
$187 USD / £144 GBP

04:37 - Chatuchak Weekend Market
The biggest and the best market in Bangkok. Full of anything you could possibly need from clothes, to homeware, to souvenirs.

05:14 - The Camp Flea Market
A hidden gem very close to the Chatuchak Market that is very underrated. A hipster hangout with coffee shops, bars and antique shops.

06:11 - Rooftop Bars
A look at the Yao Rooftop bar at the Marriot Surawongse and the famous Skybar.

06:52 - Icon Siam Mall
The newest luxury mall with lots of designer brands and shopping. There is also an amazing food court in the basement with really good food options.

08:09 - Wat Arun Temple
A famous riverside temple.

WAT ARUN ENTRANCE FEE: 50 BAHT
$1.56 USD / £1.21 GBP

08:43 - Golden Mount Temple (Wat Saket)
Another of my favourite temples of the city with some amazing city views.

WAT SAKET ENTRANCE FEE: 50 BAHT
$1.56 USD / £1.21 GBP

09:15 - Ari
Bangkok’s coolest neighbourhood. Away from the tourists but with easily accessible luxuries. There are some great Airbnb options (which is a touchy subject in Thailand, so do your research into the law before booking)

AIRBNB IN BANG SUE PER NIGHT: 827 BAHT
$25 USD / £20 GBP
