Eye-Opening Experience visiting Western Wall and JESUS TOMB in OLD Jerusalem Israel

Join me on an eye-opening journey as we visit the Western Wall and the Tomb of Jesus in Old Jerusalem, Israel. The Western Wall, also known as the Wailing Wall, is a sacred site for Jews and a place of prayer and reflection. As we approach the wall, the energy and emotion of the place is palpable.

Next, we visit the Tomb of Jesus, also known as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. This site is believed to be the location of Jesus' crucifixion, burial, and resurrection. The atmosphere inside the church is peaceful and contemplative, and the historical significance of the place is truly awe-inspiring.

Throughout our visit, we learn about the rich history and culture of Old Jerusalem and how it plays a central role in the three major Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. This experience has truly been an eye-opening one, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Don't forget to like, comment and subscribe to our channel!

Muhammad Ali Mosque, Cairo; An Old Historical Landmark

Muhammad Ali Mosque, Cairo, Egypt - Egypt travel mosques that will attract you to see them.

Muhammad Ali Mosque in Cairo is one of the different tourism places that you should think about visiting, because it is as beautiful from the inside as it is attractive from the outside, not just that, but it is related to a Pasha. There are different places to visit in Cairo and among them is Salah El Din Citadel in which this mosque is found.

The great mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha is also known as Alabaster Mosque. This Ottoman mosque is situated at the summit of the citadel, making the whole thing more attractive for the visitors to head for and check how it looks like from the inside as well as how Cairo will appear from the top.

Muhammad Ali mosque is considered the most visible mosque in Cairo with its animated silhouette and twin minarets. This mosque is also considered the largest to be built in the 19th century, which was built for Muhammad Ali Pasha's son after he died.

The whole place is worth visiting - whether the citadel as a whole or else stopping by the mosque. This place is very beautiful from the inside and one of the positive points to mention here is that standing at the top, since it is built on a higher ground, will give tourists the chance to have a good full view of the city, Cairo, and could also manage to see the pyramids - which are far from this area - if the sky is clear.

We recommend this place for the photographers who want to end up with beautiful pictures for the city, because taking pictures is actually allowed there, but it is preferred not to do much inside the mosque especially if some people are praying.

It is better to take a pair of socks with you - if you are not already wearing them - because you will have to take the shoes off while being inside or else will be asked to wear plastic bags over the shoes. Also women are supposed to cover their shoulders and head while being inside the place, as some kind of appreciation to it and to the Muslim rules.

Muhammad Ali mosque entrance fee is 60 EGP for foreigners. This is considered not much to view the old and ancient Egyptian interiors and at the same time witness those huge chandeliers hanged inside.

It is better to take your food and drinks with you because they will be more expensive inside the citadel - or in any other touristic place in general.

This place is a must visit for those who are planning to go to Egypt and it will never take much of their time because the mosque has no artifacts to see, it is just getting inside and seeing how the whole place was built and how it is now decorated. The time will be spent in the rest of the citadel since it is quietly big and carries different things to be seen inside and a lot of walking.

Muhammad Ali mosque working hours are everyday from 8 AM till 5 PM, except that it closes during Friday prayers. There are restaurants and gift shops available, but they might be over priced and thus it is better to bring your snacks and drinks and go somewhere else when it comes to your lunch or dinner time.

As much as you are going to enjoy the whole place and the interiors of it, it is also a good story to hear because the story behind this mosque is as huge as the place. It is always recommended to bring a guide with you or else get the chance to read everything beforehand in order to know about the place instead of just watching.

Finally, we have to mention that the citadel in general is always one of the things placed on the list of things to do in Egypt so you will most probably never miss the chance to get across this mosque and get astonished by the things found inside or the breathtaking view which you will get the chance to see from the top there.

Egypt is safe to go to, you should just take all the precautions and keep all the tips in mind to avoid all the unwanted experiences. You should visit Cairo, Egypt, with a plan about the places you want to visit and even the cities you want to head out to, because you will fall upon some which you might have never considered yourself visiting.

There are different Cairo tourist attractions to see and different things to do in Egypt in general but we should never forget that Egypt is a historical land and visiting the mosques, the citadels, the museums, and the pyramids should always be the first things to do.

In addition to Muhammad Ali Mosque, you should visit the Egyptian Museum in Cairo

You should also head to El Moez street and check the different mosques that are found there as well as check Beat El Sehemy which is very famous in this area

There are a lot of things to see in Cairo, Egypt, such as Cairo Tower which is another experience on its own.

Unforgettable visit to Coptic Cairo. A journey through the 2000 years of Christianity in #Egypt.

#Egypt #Copt #Fustat

Today, we begin the day by visiting Fustat one of the oldest districts of Cairo. Indeed, Fustat was the first Arab capital of Egypt, founded in 641 by the general Amrou Ben Al-As. A major tourist attraction in Egypt, Coptic Cairo is home to many historic churches.

Thanks to the kindness of the Copts, we were able to visit these thousand-year-old churches, including the Church of the Martyrs Abakir and John, two saints who died during the persecution of Diocletian in the 3rd century.
----
The church dedicated to the Virgin Mary is known as the Babylonian Stairs since the place was called Babylon of Egypt before the Muslim conquest.
Built in the 11th century the church was inhabited by several Coptic patriarchs from the 11th to the 15th century. Seven of them are buried in the church as you can see in these pictures.
---:
The church of Saint Theodore the Oriental is one of the oldest in the neighborhood since it was built in the 7th century. Born in Tyre, Saint Theodore would also have died during the persecution under Diocletian.
---
The ancient Byzantine citadel built in 98 by Trajan. Called Babylon, it gave birth to the city of Fustat. By the way, the word Fustat is not Arabic, but Greek. Foussaton is simply translated as military camp, a term that the Arabs kept.
----
Al Kanisa al Mou'allaqa, the hanging church, is also dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
It is one of the oldest churches in Egypt since its history dates back to the third century. Indeed, if the current building dates from the 7th century, it would have been in the 3rd or 4th century the church of the soldiers of the bastion. Rebuilt several times, its last major renovation dates from the 10th century when Patriarch Abraham remodeled it. The oldest icon in the church dates from the 8th century and many of its artifacts can be seen in the Coptic Museum.
---
The Coptic Museum is much less known than the famous Egyptian Museum. Reopened in 2005, it houses the largest collection of Coptic art in the world. It contains nearly 16,000 objects, fabrics, icons and manuscripts produced between the 4th and 20th centuries.

The icons and frescoes in the museum are extraordinary, reminding us that Christianity has been present in Egypt for nearly two millennia. The Copts are the most important Christian community in the Middle East with nearly 10 million followers or nearly 10% of the Egyptian population.

The museum also houses the famous manuscripts of the Nag Hammadi library, discovered in 1945, which includes the only copy of the Gospel of Thomas.

---
It is very easy to reach the area by metro from the Mar Girgis station. You will find most of the churches we visited today. Most of them are very old and are below the level of the current street.
----
The Saint-Georges Convent dates back to at least the 15th century, as the Arab chronicler el-Maqrizi mentions it. Nuns still live there. Strange phenomenon, Christian and Muslim women come to the convent in great numbers to surround themselves with chains said to have held Saint George prisoner in the hope of being cured of their sterility.
---
The Church of Saint Barbara was built on the site of a first sanctuary dedicated to Saint Cyr and Saint John. It is dedicated to a Christian woman killed by her father in the 3rd century because she wanted to convert to Christianity.
---
Nearby is the Ben Ezra synagogue, built in the 12th century on the ruins of an ancient church. Unfortunately, it is forbidden to film inside.
---
The Church of St. Sergius and St. Bacchus, whose foundations date back to the 5th century, could be one of the oldest in ancient Babylon of Egypt. As for the church, it was rebuilt and remodeled several times, the current style dating from the 10th or 12th century.
This place of worship owes its fame to a popular belief that the holy family took refuge in a cave during their flight to Egypt. The cave was preserved in the form of a crypt that is now accessible to tourists.
----
Less busy, the church of El-Adra, i.e. of the virgin, is set back and never mentioned in the tourist guides. It is also known as Kasriyat Ar-Rayan by the Copts. The complex has two churches, the one of Saint Basil being the most recent.
---
Located outside the walls of ancient Babylon, the monastery of St. Mercurius has three churches. The main church is dedicated to the same holy martyr and Roman legionary known in Arabic as Abu Seifein. This church was first built in the 5th century before undergoing a major renovation in the 10th century.
---
This concludes another day in the heart of the Egyptian capital. A city with a thousand years of history and chaotic traffic that must be visited once in a lifetime.
