Phi Phi consists of a group of six islands. Only 40 km away from Phuket, Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh are the two most famous islands of the six. With their pristine waters and vibrant parties, these islands are a wonderful way to spend a few days in Thailand.
With four other islands besides the large ones, Phi Phi houses Bida Nok, Bida Nai, Ko Mai Phai, is also known as Bamboo Island. Phi Phi Islands became famous after the 2000 Hollywood flick 'The Beach' that was shot in Ko Phi Phi Le.
The only inhabited island is Phi Phi Don, which has hotels, restaurants, and everything else you might want for a short stay.
And now we're going there! We will explore this island and places like Tonsai beach, Loh Dalum Beach, Phi Phi Don Walking Street, Phi Phi Viewpoint, Long Beach and view from Phi Phi Don to Ko Phi Phi Lee where located Maya Bay, Viking Cave and Pi Leh Bay (Pi Leh Lagoon).

An unserem letzten Tag in Ban Phai sahen wir uns einen Wasserpark an, der renoviert wird. Es ist wohl eher so eine Art Spaßbad für die Kinder. Hungrig sind wir immer, also auf zu einem Nudelsuppenshop der auch Entengerichte auf der Speisekarte hat. Ich drehte eine kleine Runde durch den Ort, oder besser gesagt sah ich mir die Hauptgeschäftsstraße an. Zu Kaffee und Kuchen ging es dann wieder zurück zum Hotel.

Buffalo Market und Erdbeerschnaps in Ban Phai Thailand
Wir erfuhren, dass es in Ban Phai einen Buffalo Market geben soll, also nichts wie hin. Das Projekt ist noch im Aufbau begriffen und ist eher als Rinderfarm gedacht. Es entstehen Bürogebäude und ein Schlachthof, es wird später einmal alles selber verwertet und verarbeitet werden. Wir fuhren zu einem Erdbeerfeld, dass eigentlich kein Erdbeerfeld ist, nur die kleinen Pflanzen werden dort verkauft. In Thailand nennt man scheinbar alles Farm. Verkauft werden dort Erdbeerschnaps, Erdbeerwein, Erdbeersaft und Sirup. Der Clou: Vor Ort kann jeder sämtliche Produkte vor dem Kauf verkosten. Koi und Bernd ließen sich nicht zweimal bitten.

Bangkok to Koh Samet Travel NOW Bus and Ferry April 2022 ???????? Thailand 4K
How to get from Bangkok to Tropical Island of Koh Samet in the Gulf of Thailand by bus and boat NOW. We took a minibus from the Ekkamai Eastern Bus Terminal to Ban Phe. At Ban Phe we took the big ferry to the Nadan Pier on Koh Samet Island.
The price of the minivan was 200 THB, the Ferry 70 THB and 30 THB for a Songthaew on the Island. On Koh Samet you need to pay a Park fee of 200 THB.
I realized that there are no big buses going to Samet. I organized a taxi service with my friend khun Montree. He can pick you up from your hotel in Bangkok and bring you to Ban Phe for 2200 THB. For more information e-mail me at info@sukhumvithomes.com

Unser Hotel in Ban Phai und Dinner bei Nam's Familie
Bernd spendierte uns drei Übernachtungen im Jasper Hotel in Ban Phai, dafür möchten wir uns noch einmal recht herzlich bedanken. Das Hotel ist nicht weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt, bietet einen guten Service. Ein Restaurant und ein Café die ausgezeichnete Waren anbieten gehört ebenfalls zu der Anlage. Swimmingpool und Fitnessraum sind auch vorhanden. Am Abend lernten wir einige Familienmitglieder von Bernd's Frau kennen, wurden zum Diner eingeladen. Es war eine gesellige Runde und alle hatten ihren Spaß.

Koh Samet: Best Tropical Island Close to Bangkok Thailand

In this Thailand Travel Vlog, we head to Koh Samet - the closest paradise island to Bangkok! You can get there in just a few short hours by taking a minibus to Rayong, Thailand plus a 15 minute speed boat! We had a 3 day weekend and decided the day of to change our plans and head to this gorgeous beach for the first time!
As it was so last minute we really didn't prepare much! When you arrive on the Koh Samet pier, you need to pay the national park fee (cash only) to enter the island, motorbike rentals are 400 baht/day all over the island (luckily it includes gas) which is the most we've paid for a bike in Thailand, and the island only has 3 ATMs ALL OF WHICH WERE BROKEN THE ENTIRE WEEKEND!!! ???? Definitely make sure you take cash incase the same thing happens again! We were lucky we could use my Thai bank account still to pay for most things, however if we didn't have a Thai bank account we would've been in trouble!
Koh Samet (Koh Samed) is a small island. It's also very long. Right by the pier you can walk to many different restaurants, a 7 eleven, and a great beach! There are many other beaches you can get to either on a motorbike or by using one of the many songthaews. There was a cute little boardwalk area at the very bottom of the island.
Koh Samet is also cool at night! The entire beach transforms and is covered by beach chairs and bright lights. There are even fire shows on Koh Samet! We definitely recommend heading to this island is you're in Bangkok and you don't have much time to travel very far!

Phi Phi Bamboo Island - Koh Pai - Thailand
Bamboo Island – or Koh Pai – is the most north-easterly island of the Phi Phi archipelago. Lying approximately 5 km off the northern tip of Koh Phi Phi Don, this island is a stunning tropical hot spot that offers the perfect getaway from crowds. While a few tours from Phuket make a stop on this island after lunch, it's usually never too crowded.
Measuring roughly 600 metres wide by 700 metres long, the island is shaped almost like a heart, and is surrounded by a strip of white sand. Its central part is covered with lush vegetation, including casuarina and bamboo trees. On the north-eastern side of the island, under the shade of the trees, a small bar serves drinks and snacks.
