In the last episode, Zaur took us on a great experience of the Boulevard and Caspian Coast, and in this other episode of Xplore Azerbaijan, we go on an experience of the NEW Baku Boulevard! You may be thinking why??? The boulevard is more than 16 KM long!!! In the New Boulevard episode, there is also much to discover such as some very important and significant parts of Azerbaijan that many in the world do not know. One of the sights is the very spot where the FIRST Industrially drilled oil well in the world in the year 1846 can be found and is still working today and yes, it is in a museum right on the New Boulevard of Baku, which has seen major changes to its development.
Besides these great sights and experiences, the New Boulevard is also a great place for families and friends to gather as there are many great restaurants situated there with really delicious Azeri cuisine that you should not miss if you visit Azerbaijan! What an experience!

Balaxanı — Bakı şəhərinin Sabunçu rayonunda şəhər tipli qəsəbədir. Qəsəbədə neft çıxarılmamışdan əvvəl əhalinin əsas məşğuliyyəti əkinçilik, bağçılıq və bostançılıq olmuşdur.
Coğrafi mövqeyi
Balaxanı qəsəbəsi Bakının ən qədim qəsəbələrindən biridir. Qəsəbə Bakının şimal-şərqində, Abşeron yarımadasının ortasında yerləşir, Sabunçu qəsəbəsi, Ramana kəndi, Zabrat qəsəbəsi, Digah və Məmmədli kəndləri ilə qonşudur. Qəsəbənin şimal yüksəkliyində kəndi iki – “Yuxarı” və “Aşağı” – məhəlləyə bölən qədim qəbiristanlıq var. Balaxanının şimalı “Rzaqulu məhəlləsi”, cənubu isə əhali tərəfindən “Canhüseyn məhəlləsi” adlanır. Kənd demək olar ki, bu günə qədər özünün ənənəvi plan-forma quruluşunu saxlayıb. 1989-cu ildən başlayaraq, qəsəbənin qərb hissəsində Yeni Balaxanı adlanan yaşayış massivi formalaşmağa başlamışdır. Yeni Balaxanı massivi Qədim Balaxanıdan fərqli olaraq, eni 10-15 metr olan paralel küçələr formasında salınmışdır.
Tarixi abidələr
Hacı Şəhla məscidi
Hacı Şəhla məscidi Balaxanı qəsəbəsinin qəbiristanlınğında hündür bir təpənin üzərində tikilmiş və XIV əsr memarlıq abidəsidir. Türbə iki hissədən ibarətdir – daxili otaqdan və geniş portaldan.
Giriş qapısının üstündə vaxtilə iki sətirlik kitabə olub və onun mətni belədir: Bu imarət Hacı Şəhla bin Şakir bin Mustafa Köşkinindir. Yeddi yüz səksən yeddinci il (787-1385/86).
Şakir ağa türbəsi
Balaxanı qəbiristanlığında yerləşən Şakir ağa türbəsi 1427-1428-ci ildə tikilib və 1385-1386-cı ildə tikilən Hacı Şəhla məscidindən cəmi altı metr məsafədə yerləşir. Şakir ağa türbəsi memarlıq baxımından Balaxanı abidələrinin ən qiymətlisi hesab olunur.
Türbənin tağlı giriş qapısının üstündə ərəbcə iki sətirlik kitabə var ki, mətni belə oxunur: Bu imarətin tikilməsinə millət və din böyüklərinin hamısı Miriraxur Şakir ağa ibn-mərhum Mürtəza əmr etmişdir. Səkkiz yüz otuz birinci il (831-1427/28).
Digər bir mənbədə deyilir ki, İbrahim Şirvanşahın vəziri 1427-ci ildə oğlunun şərəfinə ucaltdığı Şakir ağa türbəsi xalq arasında İmarət adlandırılır.
Şah Səfi karvansarası
Şah Səfi karvansarayı 1635-36-cı ildə usta Bürhan və sərkər Behbud tərəfindən inşa edilmiş və onun inşasına Əlihüseyn Bahadirxan şah Səfiəddin əmr etmişdir. Yerli əhəng daşı materiallarından inşa edilmiş bina tağ tavanlı, düzbucaqlı şəklindədir. Yerli əhalinin «Xacə Ruhulla» imarəti də adlandırdığı abidə kəndin mərkəzində yerləşir. Uzun illər Şah Səfi karvansarasından anbar kimi də istifadə edilib. Amma sonradan kənd sakinlərinin səyi nəticəsində karvansaranın içi təmizlənib və ətrafında abadlıq işləri aparılıb.
Ovdan
Şirvanşah əmiri Xaçə Zeynəddinin əmri ilə ovdan XIV əsrdə tikilmişdir. Balaxanıdakı 40 pilləkanlı su ovdanı insanların suya olan tələbatını qaarşılamaq üçün inşa edilib. Su quyusunun ortasında olan çarxa sakinlər at bağlayaraq suyu çəkiblər. Eyni zamanda, su arxlara, eləcə də Qum hamamına da gedərdi. Uzun illər su ovdanı zibilliklər içərisində olub. Sonradan kənd sakinlərinin köməkliyi sayəsində su ovdanı təmizlənib və ondan XIV əsrdən XIX əsrin sonuna qədər, eləcə də 1920-ci ilin aprel inqilabına qədər istifadə olunub. Yeddi metr dərinliyi olan bu ovdan Balaxanı sakinləri təmiz sudan istifadə üçün inşa olunub.
Qum hamamı
Torpağın altında tikilən və Balaxanıda nadir hamamlardan sayılan Qum hamamını da demək olar ki, böyükdən kiçiyə kimi hamı yaxşı tanıyır. Bu qədim sərvətimiz bir zamanlar qorunurdusa, artıq uzun illərdir ki, baxımsızlıq ucbatından sökülüb dağılıb. Ərazisi dəmir dirəklərlə əhatələnərək xüsusi mülkiyyətə çevrilib.
Kənddə camaata xidmət etmiş bir neçə hamamlar da var. Bunlardan: “Xan qızı”, “Hacı Nəcəfqulu”, “Hacı Həsən”, “Bala Rza”, “Şirəli”, “Nurbala” hamamları və s.
Kino
Azərbaycanda ilk dəfə olaraq kino 2 avqust 1898-ci ildə Balaxanı kəndində çəkilmişdir. Həmin qısa metrajlı filmin adı isə”Balaxanıda yanğın”dır. Film Moskva arxivində saxlanılır. Bu məlumat ilk dəfə 1898-ci ilin avqust ayında Bakıda “Kaspi” qəzetində çap olunmuşdur. Hal-hazırda həmin qəzetin nüsxələri Moskva dövlət arxivində saxlanılır.

Hi, guys! I am back with the video about the brother of Icharishahar: Balakhani settlement.
From the Middle Ages, it was one of the oil extraction centers, and a few centuries later, Balakhani attracted the attention of famous Nobel brothers, who became the first foreign investors in Azerbaijan.
Recently, the restoration works were held in Balakhani and this place was transformed into a must-see touristic location.
I tried to show majority of its sights, but I will return there with you again once the weather allows:)

If you are driving north from Bilasuvar, take the E119. From Mingecevir and the west, take the E60 all the way to Baku.

Şimal səmtindəki yüksəklikdə kəndi iki — Yuxarı və Aşağı — məhəlləyə bölən qədim qəbiristanlıq var. Balaxanının şimal hissəsi Rzaqulu məhəlləsi, cənub hissəsi əhali tərəfindən Canhüseyn məhəlləsi adlanır. Kənd demək olar ki, bu günə qədər özünün ənənəvi plan-forma quruluşunu saxlaya bilib. Evlər bir-birinə yaxın, ensiz küçələr, ənənəvi həyətyanı sahələri, mövcud məhəllə sistemi ilə seçilir. 1989-cu ildən başlayaraq, qəsəbənin qərb hissəsində Yeni Balaxanı adlanan yaşayış massivi formalaşmağa başlamışdır. Yeni Balaxanı massivi (Fazenda) Qədim Balaxanıdan fərqli olaraq, eni 10—15 metr olan paralel küçələr şəklində salınmışdır.
Kəndin adının mənası Qılman İlkinin Bakı və bakılılar kitabında qeyd olunub: bala —yuxarı, hündür, xana — ev deməkdir. Yerli balaxanılılar isə öz dillərində bu kəndə Bəəxonə deyir ki, Bəə — yuxarı Xonə — ev deməkdir. Balaxana qədim zamanlarda karvansarayların giriş qapısı üstündə olan kiçik otağa (mezonin, yaxud antrosol) deyərdilər. Bunlar yarım mərtəbə şəklində olardı. Hazırda belə otaqlar Bakının 40 kilometrliyində, 1439—1440-cı illərdə tikilmiş Səngəçal karvansarayının və Suraxanıdakı 1713-cü ildə inşa edilmiş Atəşgahın qapısı üstündə var.
