Is Bahia de Caraquez the new, improved Salinas? | ECUADOR
Bahia de Caraquez is a beautiful town on a peninsula that is becoming more popular with foreigners for good reason.
Just north of Manta it's actually an estuary that has a river beach on one side and an ocean on the other. All the photos I'd seen make it look like a city similar to Salinas so I was surprised to see it was more like a lovely town.
We stayed 3 nights in Coco Bongo, which we loved, and I'd recommend. Bahia really grew on us. There isn't a lot of things to do in town but it's a great beach town if you just want to relax.

En esta entrega pasaremos un dia de descanso y relajación en las playas de #Olón y al siguiente partiremos hacía la reserva #Machalilla donde visitaremos la mejor playa del Ecuador Continental, #Losfrailes, luego y después de una búsqueda infructuosa de un buen lugar de hospedaje partiremos hacía #Bahia de caraquez a donde llegaremos entrada la noche y ya super cansados. En el próximo capítulo daremos una vuelta por bahía, pasaremos por un puente bastante largo y tomaríamos una ruta muy divertida pero pasada por mucha mucha agua pero que el destino hizo que todo valiera la pena. Olón es una pequeña población de no más de 2000 habitantes y que esta bastante orientada al turismo , esta a solo 4 kilómetros de Montañita y es una muy buena alternativa para relajarse en su larga y tranquila playa ya que no sufre la avalancha de turistas típica de Montañita o Salinas hay muy buenas opciones de hoteles y a mejores precios que estos lugares. Es un lugar muy recomendado para recargar energías , tanto que resultamos quedándonos dos días, playa, brisa, mar, cervecitas y buena comida, definitivamente muy pero muy recomendado

Beachfront living in Ecuador is not crazy expensive. Certain areas, like Bahia de Caraquez, have condos on the beach for just $100,000. It offers an easy and high quality life in a place with beautiful year-round weather, delicious seafood, and a huge beach just steps away with soft sand and refreshing waters. We tested out this style of living by renting a beachside condo on AirBnb for a week. Bahía de Caráquez is a cute little town with 20.000 residents. It is a canton of the Manabí province, located in the Pacific region of Ecuador. This town has a descent amount of tourists during the year and is a popular vacation destination for many Quiteños and Guayaquileños. This is because it has a tropical climate and nice beaches. The most important fact about this town: it is a Ecocity. The city features the world's first certified-organic shrimp farm. Finally, it is located at 340 km from Quito and 280 km from Guayaquil which makes it a short distance paradise.

BAÑOS, ECUADOR - EVERYTHING TO SEE AND DO in 24 HOURS (First Day in Ecuador!)
In today's video, I will be traveling to one of the smallest countries in South America called, Ecuador. Ecuador is a country straddling the equator on South America’s west coast. Its diverse landscape encompasses Amazon jungle, Andean highlands and the wildlife-rich Galápagos Islands. In the Andean foothills at an elevation of 2,850m, Quito, the capital, is known for its largely intact Spanish colonial center, with decorated 16th- and 17th-century palaces and religious sites, like the ornate Compañía de Jesús Church.
From in Quito, Ecuador, I then headed to Quitumbe Terminal Terrestre to take a 3 hour bus to Baños, Ecuador right near Ambato and Riombamba. There, I stayed at the Donde Marcelo hotel and then head straight to El Pailon del Diablo (One of The Most Beautiful Waterfalls here in Ecuador), visit the famous Casa de Arbol (Near the Tungurahua Volcano), and then ended my day at the La Piscina de La Virgen (hot springs!). Join me as we explore Baños Ecuador on my FIRST DAY in ECUADOR!
