About Khandadhar :
An innocuous rivulet KorapaniNala plummets 244 mtr creating India’s 12th highest waterfall – the mighty Khandadhar. The ferocity of the cascading water belies its sedate origins. The waterfall derives its name from its shape which is like a Sword (khanda) Waterfall (dhara). The magnificence of the waterfall is accentuated by the lush green scenic forest, making for an awe inspiring sight.
The last stretch to the waterfall is traversed by foot through the jungles which adds to the fun element when you visit Khandadhar.
Things to do
Tensa Valley: It is located at a distance of 25 km from Khandadhar ecotourism site, famous for beautiful landscape. The temperature at this place sometimes goes down to 0°c at zero point. The place looks more beautiful during rainy season and winter season.
Gudguda: It is located at a distance of 60 km from Khandadhar ecotourism site is famous for the Gudguda waterfall.

On day 3 of our Keonjhar tour we started from Keonjhar Panthanivas, on the way to Khandadhar nature camp we visited Sana ghagra waterfall then we visited Gonasika after that we visited Kanjipani Ghati of Eastern Ghat. Then we reached Khandadhar Nature camp. Khandadhar Nature camp is a beautiful place situated inside Unakoti Wildlife Sanctuary, Next day we visited Khandadhar Waterfall of Sundargarh then we visited Darjing. From Darjing we reached Barbil to catch our train Barbil Jan Shatabdi Express to reach Howrah.

Glimpses of Keonjhar|Top 10 spots of Kendujhar |Vlog :7| Best places to visit in Keonjhar, Odisha |
We undertook a short tour of Keonjhar/ Kendujhar in October 2021. It was a 3 nights and 4 days trip from 16.10.21 to 19.10.21. Our stay for the entire trip was in Sanaghagra nature camp/ Sanaghagra eco tourism complex. Surrounded with hills, covered with Sal forest right on Mumbai Kolkata Highway this nature camp offered us a serene and peaceful stay.
We explored quite a lot of spots on the 4 days of our trip namely
1. Keonjhar view point - Spot right on Kolkata Mumbai highway, you can view the entire Keonjhar town.
2. Kings old palace- Though the palace gates were closed we enjoyed the raas mancha, matiapokhri.
3. Baldevjew Temple- A magnificient temple in the town where Shri Jagannath, Baldev and Subhadra Devi are worshipped.
4. Kanjhari dam- Beautiful dam , 27 kms from town situated amidst forest
5. Gundichaghagi waterfall- Situated at a distance of 60kms this waterfall was memerising to say the last. Spread over a huge area we enjoyed to the fullest in the rain
6. Bhimkund gorge- River Baitarani cascading down hilly terrain creating this beautifula falls
7. Sitabinji caves and frescoes- Mata Sita used to stay here with her two sons , in Rishi Valmiki's ashram
8. Sanaghagra Waterfall and park : Located only a km from sanaghagra nature camp and about 8 kms from Keonjhar town this waterfalls is created by river machakandana while flowing down a hilly terrain. The falls is amazing . The park within which the falls is located is spread over 488 hectares. A huge complex with deciduous trees , green vegetation and Lord Shiva statue within the complex makes it a must visit place in Keonjhar.
9. Badaghagra waterfall and reservoir- River machakandana creates this beautiful waterfall
10. Suleipat dam, Bisoi, Mayurbhanj - The last spot of our Keonjhar tour was Suleipat dam, Located in Bisoi betweem Bhitaramda and Karajharan hills this is a must visit place. The beauty of the place with hills , greenery all around is unparalleled. Thus ended our tour with return to Kharagpur at 7 p.m. Hope you liked our series. Do comment and let us know.

Raja Dhaval Deb's built three temples dedicated to Goddess Rankini (an incarnation of Goddess Durga)one at Rajdoha, another at Jamshedpur and the third at Rhoinibera village near Ghatshila. On the northern fringe of Ghatshila town one can climb the peak of Fuldungri to get a view of rolling hills and green valleys fading into the horizon. According to the legend if seperated lovers pray here, they get their partners back. Visit Burudih lake next to a tribal village settlement of mud huts painted with vibrant motifs just 17 kms off Fuldungri.

Friends In this video you will know how to go Keonjhor from Kolkata. at Howrah platform no 19. Train number 12021 Jan Shatabdi Express deparch at morning 6.20am and reaches barbil station at 12.55 pm. Keonjhor nearest railway station is Barbil.Howrah to Barbil other train name is Ispat Express.
After reaching Barbil have your lunch at the restaurant nearby.
There two ways to reach Keonjhor.
Take an auto outside the station and reach Barbil bus stand. auto fare is 30rs per head.
Or you can book a car here outside the station.
small car price is 2500 - 3000 and big car like bolero price is 3500 to 4000.
Barbil station to keonjhar distance is 80 km.
