Come check out our new travel guide from Leipzig, Germany where we cover 10 things to do in the city including quirky attractions, artsy neighbourhoods and the Leipzig's incredible food scene. Today we’re visiting a really cool city that’s full of contrasts. Leipzig is a place that offers a wonderful mix of lush green spaces with canals, gritty industrial areas that have been given new life, and a beautiful city centre that oozes history.
Over the course of our visit we got to see that Leipzig is a city of many faces, and a few locals even told us the city has earned the nickname 'hype-zig' because it feels like a younger up and coming version of Berlin.
So, with all of that in mind, in this video, we’ll be sharing some of the highlights from our visit. which include a fun food tour featuring everything from German baked goods to Southeast Asian street food. We’ll also show you around our unique accommodations, because yes, we spent the night in a warehouse! Plus, we’ll show you which beer to order next time you find yourself here.

TESTFAHRT - auf neuen Saale Radweg in Bad Dürrenberg
Heute mache ich mal eine Test Tour mit meinen modifizierten Samebike, dabei teste ich gleich mal den neuen Radweg hier an der Saale.
Ich fahre von Bad Dürrenberg bis Weißenfels und wider zurück, das ist eine Strecke von 30 Km.

Tagesausflug nach Hallein.
Station 1: Sommerrodeln in Bad Dürrnberg
Station 2: Die Salzwelten Hallein. Hier wurde das Weiße Gold schon vor 2500 Jahren abgebaut.
Station 3: Das Keltendorf SALINA neben dem Salzbergwerk.

The best way to explore the Geiseltalsee! They let us sail ourselves. We nearly drowned (so we thought), but it was actually safe and a big blast!

Less known than the Naumburg Cathedral, this one houses one of the biggest romanic organs in Germany. Famous Franz Liszt rewrote a piece of his just for its inauguration.

Cathedral buffs: this is your best pick of the region! And apparently Uta was the fittest of them all, back then. Writer Umberto Ecco once said he would have loved to date her.

1802 wohnte Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, über vier Wochen in Lauchstädt und besorgte die Einweihung des Theaters.
Mehrfach kam er in den folgenden Jahren wieder, und besonders seine Frau Christiane war eine gern gesehene Besucherin. Bedeutende Künstler und Gelehrte der Zeit gaben sich ein Stelldichein: Christian Fürchtegott Gellert, Johann Christoph Gottsched, Christoph Martin Wieland, Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph Schelling, Richard Wagner. Schon 1789 hatte sich hier Friedrich Schiller, mit Charlotte von Lengefeld verlobt.

The trouble with the GREEN STICKER in Germany (Low Emission Zone) + Leipzig visit
In this video, we'll show you the trouble of getting the GREEN STICKER in Germany (Low Emission Zone). We'll also show you a visit to Leipzig, which is a great city to visit if you're looking for a beautiful and historic city to visit.
During our 3 week stay in Berlin, we decided to explore Leipzig as well, as one of the large cities that is only a couple of hours away from the capital.
But the first issue we ran into was the GREEN sticker (The low emission zone sticker). After watching this video, you'll be ready to go and enjoy your trip to Germany!
We didn't have it, and we had already driven to the center of Leipzig.
It was a much crazier day than it looked on camera, but this is how to get a sticker:
1. search for DEKRA offices on Google maps (they are outside of the city) and go there with your car's registration license. They are not opened on Sundays (some are open on Saturdays, but not all), and check the schedule, they might not be open all day, but it depends.
2. ask for the UMWELT zone sticker. In 2021, this was 7 Euros for a normal small car.
3. Stick it on your car's windshield, and you can now drive anywhere in Germany. Hope this will help you save time.
