Crossing Bacuag's Hanging Bridge (Tulay) + Zipline, Surigao del Norte, Philippines
The islet is called Puyo Islet, FYI ^_^

How to get there / route / asa agihon / strava:
1. From Surigao City, you can almost hire any van / bus from the terminal to take you to Bacuag.
Just ride a bus / van with a route going to Tandag or Hayanggabon & tell the conductor / driver to drop you off only at Bacuag's rotonda. Non-aircon van fare from Surigao City Terminal to Bacuag Rotonda is P60 only.
2. You can also ride your bike to get there for a more adventurous / tipid journey. It's just a 42km bike ride away from Surigao City :)
3. Anyways, after arriving at Bacuag's rotonda, you can walk to Bitaog Elementary School (about .5 to 1km from the rotonda) & from there ask the locals where the Hanging Bridge & Zipline is! Everyone in town knows where it is! Here's the guide:
From Bacuag Rotonda at the highway, go down to the town proper & remember to turn left at the first intersection called Naldoza Street & then turn left again at Carlota Street. Go straight ahead & then stop at Bitaog Elementary School, you then turn right to L&V Seaview Lounge. And that's it! ^_^
You can also dine / get a snack from L&V Seaview Lounge after your trip, it is beside the Hanging Bridge starting point.

This unique hanging bridge to an islet & zipline back to the shore is about 30-45 mimutes away from Surigao City! Yey! :)
It is still under construction but you may visit & cross the bridge. Also the caretaker said that by October 2017, hopefully the zipline would be operational already, just in time for their fiesta celebration.

How to get there / route / asa agihon / strava map -
PS: Non-aircon van fare (one way) from Surigao City Terminal to Bacuag rotonda is only P60 per person. And non-aircon van fare from Bacuag Highway rotonda to Surigao City terminal is also P60 only.
1. From Bacuag Hanging Bridge, you can hire a tricycle for only P50 per person one way to Little Baguio or P100 per person roundtrip from Hanging Bridge to Little Baguio & back. The tricycles usually flock @ Bitaog Elementary School or at the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish Church of Bacuag, also just a walk away from the Hanging Bridge. Just ask the locals for directions.
2. Entranc fee @ Little Baguio Waterfalls is only P10 per person.
3. As of this writing, the road going to Little Baguio is a mix of concrete & smoothed out rough road, but the tricycle driver that we hired said that by 2018, they planned on concreting / paving the whole road going to Little Baguio.
FYI - Little Baguio Waterfalls of Bacuag is approximately 13km away from the Hanging Bridge & is a tricycle away for a fare of P50 only per person one way.

JB Nature Farm & Resort in Surigao City, Philippines, is a certified agricultural learning site by the Department of Agriculture. It offers vibrant views and value-filled stays at a reasonable price. The resort is a haven to tourist and travelers who wish to enjoy, relax, unwind and explore the beauty of nature .
Its aim to reconnect and build stronger bonds between you and your family or peers. This place is perfect to creating memorable experiences, and learn about organic agriculture.
Experience, learn and be part of an agricultural farm tour. One of the certified agricultural learning site by Department of Agriculture, witness up close in personal how the animals and various plants are raised and feed organically.
Many years ago this piece of land in Brgy. Sukailang, Surigao City was never a sight to behold. It was once barren and rocky. Later it was left pocked and scarred by a small-scale mining site that was only short-lived. Then it became a hideout of armed elements which caused the place to turn into a no man’s land. Thanks to this man, through his courage, ingenuity and eye for opportunity, he was able to transform a wasteland into a farm attraction in Sukailang. Meet Engr. Woodrow Escobal, a Chemical Engineer by profession and owner of JB Nature Farm and Learning Site cooperator of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI).

How did you start JB Nature Farm?
What you see is a recreated forest. It was a logging area before and after there were no more trees to cut people used it as a small-scale mining area. For some time, rebels used to dwell according to the residents which was why there were some who discouraged me to buy the area. But we were magnetized by the beauty of the area, its topography and proximity to downtown Surigao where my wife works. So we decided to buy the place. We decided to develop the farm in a sustainable and environment-friendly way that is why we called it JB Nature Farm.
What inspired you to conceptualize this kind of farm?
I was inspired through what I read in the internet and publications. In 2012, I was able to visit Costales Farm and learned about nature farming and underwent a week-long intensive training. Through the help of ATI, I was able to attend a forum in Mati, Davao Oriental on farm tourism as an added service aside from training. That gave me the idea to incorporate here the farm tourism concept. The construction of our Pasalubong Center and guitar-shaped wave pool is underway which will soon be an added attraction in the farm.
What is unique in JB Nature Farm?
We applied a method in farming called permaculture. This is a design process in farming system where you take into consideration all the elements that may affect farming such as topography, soil condition, water sources and wind.
What I want here is to create a food forest. So we started planting trees. We raised hogs, goats and chickens the natural way and used their wastes to bring back the fertility of soil, make composts and promote a farm free from odor and harmful chemicals.
These fallen leaves, for example, we collect and shred it for faster decomposition. We mix them with animal manure along with green matters, vegetable peelings and effective microorganisms.
