In Polish Poland is called Polska. It literally means The Land of Fields and it comes from the word pole meaning a plain/a field. You should add Poland to your travel wishlist! In this Poland travel guide and Poland vlog we will show you The Land of Fields. Warszawa is a must-visit spot if you're making your way to this amazing country.
When traveling, most people start in the capital and work their way throughout the country. Contrasting that approach, we visited 9 cities before going to Poland's capital. During our stay, we experienced a mixture of big cities and small towns. Some of which had powerful museums and memorials. We tasted all kinds of Polish cuisine. But to see all of this took us 6 weeks. So as we end our time in Poland, here in the country’s capital, we will examine the city to see if it offers everything you need to see as a tourist. We will explore Warsaw and let you know at the end if we regret visiting 10 cities while here in Poland.
Warsaw has a nice mixture of what we saw throughout the country such as: milk bars, repurposed factories, the Vistula river, an Old Town Square, a Christmas Market, Castle, Museums, Architecture, and a variety of souvenirs.

Zwiedzimy Warszawę i na koniec damy znać, czy żałujemy, że odwiedziliśmy 10 miast będąc w Polsce.

Krakow second biggest polish city, lies in the south of Poland. One of the most important polish city with the great history. Official name is The Royal Capital City of Krakow. Central point of city center is Adam Mickiewicz Monument. The Main Square is dominated by the Town Hall Tower, Cloth Hall and St. Mary’s Basilica. Florianska Street is part of The Royal Route which begins at Wawel Hill continues through the center and leads to Florian’s Gate. On the other side of the walls there is Planty park surrounding the Old Town and Barbican, a historic gateway into the medieval city. The Grunwald Monument at the center of Matejko Square, also part of the Royal Route, is located just behind the Barbican. On the way back to the center we suggest you to see the Slowacki Theater. Old Town has many squares the Little Marketplace and the Stefanus Square are ones of the biggest.
Jagiellonian University is one of the best and the oldest university in Europe and its oldest part is the Collegium Maius. On the way to Wawel Castle you should not miss two monasteries Franciscans and
Dominicans. St. Mary Magdalene Square is the oldest part of the Old Town with the column of Peter Skarga and St. Peter and Paul Church. Wawel Castle is a symbolic place of great significance for Polish people. The seat of Polish monarchs... Coronation of Polish kings took place in this cathedral. The Royal Castle and the Cathedral is the best highlight of the city. Don’t forget about Wawel Dragon, one of the symbols of Krakow.
Kazimierz was a separate town, today, part of it, is a Jewish district, here you can find synagogues and Jewish hotels and restaurants. Around Remuh Synagogue there is even a small Jewish cemetery. This is also a good place for a nightlife, Near the New Square are a lot of bars and restaurants. The Old Town Hall is on the Wolnica Square. In this area there are several important churches. St. Micheal’s Church or Church on the Rock is the best example. Many famous Poles are buried here. And behind this church is Vistula River... just a stone’s throw from the Wawel Castle.
Krakow is not only Old Town and Kazimierz. There are some other interesting districts like Podgorze and Nowa Huta which means New Steel Mill. It was build by communists and it is very typical of socialist realism.
Not far away from historic center there is a large green space called Blonie If you want to see great view of the city you have to visit the Kosciusko Mound.

W Niepołomicach otwarto jeden z najatrakcyjniejszych miejskich terenów spacerowo-wypoczynkowych w regionie i kraju, m.in.: z okazałym ogrodem doświadczeń, parkiem sensorycznym, wybiegiem dla psów, rozprężalnią, strefą piknikową, ogrodami deszczowymi. ☀️The Heart of Cracow: The Old Town
Exploring Cracow is best started from the Old Town, where most of the famous and valuable landmarks are located.
???? Let's begin by seeing the Barbican, Florian's Gate, and a short section of the defensive walls, which are part of the medieval fortifications. Only this much has survived; the remaining portion of the walls was demolished, and in their place, the famous Krakow Planty Park was established. Let's also pay attention to the magnificent Monument of the Battle of Grunwald nearby.
???? Walking along Florianska Street, which is part of the Royal Route, we will reach the Main Market Square. Along the way, admire the beautiful architecture and architectural details of the townhouses.
???? The Market Square greets us with a view of St. Mary's Basilica. This monumental Gothic church must be seen from the inside. It houses a magnificent altar created by Veit Stoss. ☀️The Royal Residence on the Limestone Hill
Wawel Castle already makes a tremendous impression from afar. Surrounded by defensive walls, the castle is situated on a high limestone hill. We can immediately see that it was not easy to conquer. But it is only when we enter the castle courtyards that we can truly appreciate this magnificent structure. We will be amazed by both the royal chambers, private and ceremonial, as well as the treasury and armory. We can also travel further back in time and visit the Lost Wawel exhibition.
???? In addition to the royal residence, the Wawel Cathedral is also located here. It was the site of Polish kings' coronations and their final resting place. The cathedral is also the burial place of many prominent Poles, including Mickiewicz, Słowacki, and Piłsudski.
???? A visit to Wawel would not be complete without seeing the Dragon's Den. It is a cave located within the castle hill. According to legend, it was inhabited by a dragon that was defeated by the legendary founder of the city, King Krak. From the cave, we can walk along the Vistula boulevards to reach Kazimierz.
☀️Kazimierz: The Jewish District
We often forget that the development of Krakow was influenced not only by Poles but also by inhabitants of other nationalities. Among them was a significant Jewish community. Since the 15th century, they have resided in Kazimierz, which is now one of the most interesting districts of Krakow.
???? Cracow's Kazimierz is a very distinctive neighborhood. It is full of architectural remnants left by its former inhabitants, most of whom perished during World War II. Here we will see townhouses, synagogues, and even Jewish cemeteries. Today, excellent cafes and restaurants can be found in many of these often weathered townhouses.
???? Lastly, we will also visit the Church of the Pauline Fathers, commonly known as the Skałka or the Church on the Rock.
This monastic complex is not only a beautiful example of Cracow's Baroque architecture. According to legend, it was here that King Bolesław the Brave executed Bishop Stanisław Szczepanowski. The bishop was later declared a saint, and his relics rest in the church. In the Crypt of the Distinguished, located beneath the church, rest other great Poles, with the famous chronicler Jan Długosz at the forefront.

Oświęcim. Jak wygląda Oświęcim? Wbrew powszechnej opinii Oświęcim to nie tylko były niemiecki obóz koncentracyjny Auschwitz. Miasto ma bardzo bogatą historię a co za tym idzie bardzo mocno zróżnicowane zabudowania co sprawia, że spacer po Oświęcimiu jest bardzo przyjemny i czasem można poczuć ciekawą historię tego miasta. Oświęcim przyjazny jest dla turystów z racji tego, że ich jest tu bardzo dużo przez cały rok. W większości restauracji, barów czy cukierni swobodnie porozmawiamy w języku angielskim. Ja osobiście lubię spacery po Bulwarach nad Sołą i po uliczkach wokół rynku.
Czy Auschwitz i Oświęcim to to samo ? Z tym pytaniem często można się spotkać, więc krótko wyjaśnię. W 1940 roku powstał nazistowski obóz koncentracyjny – Konzentrationslager a niemiecka nazwa Oświęcimia to Auschwitz. Bezpośrednio po wyzwoleniu spod niemieckiej okupacji miasto powróciło do swojej polskiej nazwy OŚWIĘCIM.
Co warto zobaczyć w Oświęcimiu:
Historia miasta jest tak długa i bogata, że wymienię tylko kilka najciekawszych miejsc:
