If you are planning to travel to Ayodhya ji, you can do this travel in 2 days - keep one day for local temple visit and one day for out skirt temples.
Location: Where is Ayodhya ji India: Though lucknow has an domestic airport but if you are travelling from outisde India, you need to travel to New Delhi then from there take Shatabdi train to Lucknow and from there you can take a taxi to reach Ayodhya.
Delhi to Ayodhya is 690 km
Lucknow to Ayodhya is 135 km.
For visiting temples in outskirts we hired a taxi from Anil : 9455147300.
Local travel in Ayodhya can easily be done on Battery rickshaw.

Pandey Ji - runs a shop near Sugreev Kila, he does this job of guide as a part time hobby, just in case if you are planning to travel to Ayodhya ji, you can take his services for taking you around, He can be contacted on 7985703347
Charges - He does not demand any service fee, but we paid him Rs 3000 for 2 days, though it is difficult for him to be free, he is nice person, meaning he is usually busy with his own work.
If you are planning to club this tour with Lucknow, you can travel from Lucknow to Ayodhya on bus or on a private taxi.

अयोध्या (फैजाबाद) के सभी पर्यटन स्थल ओर उनसे जुड़ा इतिहास :
1. राम जन्म भूमि (02:07, Ram Janm Bhoomi) : अयोध्या मे सबसे पवित्र जगहो मे से इक हे | इसी जगह भगवान श्री राम का जन्म हुआ था ओर ऐसा कहा जाता की राजा विक्रमादित्य ने भगवान श्री राम का एक भव्य मन्दिर बनवाया था जो 1527 मे मुगल शासक बाबर के आदेशों पर नष्ट कर दिया गया ओर इसके बाद यहां पर बाबरी मस्जिद का निर्माण करवाया था जिसे 1992 मे कारसेवकों द्वारा ध्वस्त कर दीया गया उसी के बाद ये विषय विवाद का हे |
2. राम की पैड़ी (02:53, Ram ki Pedi) : सरयू घाट के ऊपर ही स्थित हे राम की पैड़ी l श्री राम के जल समाधि लेने के बाद यह पैड़ी सेंकड़ों सालो तक सूखी रही बाद मे इसका पुनः निर्माण कहीं लोगो ने करवाया l
3. हनुमान गढ़ी (03:38, Hanuman Garhi) : कहते हे की प्रभु श्री राम ने अयोध्या की रक्षा के लिये हनुमान जी को यहा विराजमान रहने के लिये कहा था l भगवान राम के राज्य मे हनुमान अपने सूक्ष्म रूप मे वास करते हे l इस मंदिर की 76 सीढिया चढ़ने के बाद भक्त हनुमान के सबसे छोटे 6 इंच के रूप का दर्शन करते है l
4. कनक भवन (04:23, Kanak Bhawan) : इस मंदिर की खासियत ये हे की मां सीता और प्रभु श्री राम के सोने के मुकुट वाली प्रतिमाओं को लेकर इसकी लोकप्रियता है | यही वजह है जो कई लोग इसे सोने का घर नाम से भी जानते हैं |
5. नागेश्वरनाथ मंदिर (05:08, Nageshwarnath Temple) : पैड़ी के किनारे स्थित नागेश्वरनाथ मंदिर | पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार इस मंदिर का निर्माण प्रभु श्रीराम के पुत्र कुश ने किया था |
6. राजा दशरथ का महल (05:48, Dashrath Mahal) : रामकोट अयोध्या में यह स्थल शहर के बीचो बीच स्थित है दशरथ भवन l इस भवन के मंदिर मे प्रभु श्रीराम, लक्ष्मण और सीता कि मूर्तियां स्थापित की गई है l दशरथ भवन को बड़ा स्थान या बड़ी जगह के नाम से भी जाना जाता है |
7. त्रेता के ठाकुर (06:13, Treta ke Thakur) : त्रेता के ठाकुर अयोध्या में सरयू नदी के तट पर स्थित नया घाट पर एक प्राचीन मंदिर है। इस मंदिर के बारे में यह भी कहा जाता है कि यह वही जगह है जहां पर श्री राम ने अश्वमेध यज्ञ किया था।
8. गुप्तार घाट (06:33, Guptar Ghat) : हिंदू धर्म का एक पवित्र और पूजनीय स्थल है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि यहां पर भगवान श्री राम ने अपना राजपाठ पने पुत्र लव कुश को सौपने के बाद यहीं पर सरयू नदी मे जल समाधि धारण की थी। तभी से गुप्तार घाट को एक तीर्थ स्थल के रूप में जाना जाता है।
9. गुलाब बाड़ी (07:21, Gulab Badi) : अवध के नवाब शुजा-उद-दौला एवं उनके परिवार के मकबरे के रूप मे इसे सन 1775 मे स्थापित किया गया | किसी ज़माने मे यहा पर गुलाबो कि विभिन्न प्रजाति उगाई जाती थी लेकीन आज कुछ ही प्रजातियां शेष है l
10. बहु बेगम का मकबरा (07:50, Bahu Begam ka Makbara) : इस मकबरे का निर्माण सन 1816 मे शुजा-उद-दौला ने अपनी प्रिय पत्नी बहू बेगम कि याद मे बनवाया था जो की ‘पूरब’ के ताजमहल के रूप में चर्चित है | इसकी ऊचाई लगभग 42 मीटर है l
11. सीता की रसोई (08:10, Seeta ki Rasoi) : सीता की रसोई किसी शाही रसोई घर का नाम नहीं है बल्कि यह एक मंदिर है | यह श्रीराम जन्मभूमि के उत्तर-पश्चिमी हिस्से में है |
12. मोती महल (08:49, Moti Mahal) : एक बेहद आकर्षक संरचना है | पर्ल पैलेस के नाम से चर्चित इस महल का निर्माण सन् 1746 में कराया गया था | यह अवध के नवाब शुजा-उद-दौला की बेगम रानी उनमतुजोहरा बानू का घर भी था | मोती महल मुगल वास्तुकला का एक बेहतरीन नमूना है |
13. तुलसी स्मारक भवन म्यूजियम (09:10, Tulsi Smarak Bhawan) : 16 वीं सदी के संत और कवि तुलसीदास की स्मृति में इस भवन को निर्मित किया गया है | साहित्य और कला की दृष्टि से ये भवन किसी खजाने के कम नहीं है | बता दें कि स्मारक परिसर के भीतर सांस्कृतिक केंद्र में हर दिन शाम 6 बजे से 9 बजे के बीच रामलीला का प्रदर्शन होता है, जो पर्यटकों को बेहद आकर्षित करता है।
14. मणि पर्वत (09:43, Mani Parvat) : मणि पर्वत एक छोटी पहाड़ीनुमा जगह है जो कमी गंज, अयोध्या में स्थित है | मणि पर्वत 65 फीट ऊंचा स्थिल है जहां खड़े होकर आप नगर का सुंदर दृश्य के अलावा यहां सम्राट अशोक द्वारा निर्मित स्तूप एवं बौद्ध मठ को भी देख सकते हैं।
15. छोटी छावनी (10:20, Choti Chawani) : छोटी छावनी को मणिरामदास छावनी या वाल्मीकि भवन के नाम से भी जाना जाता है | छोटी छावनी एक अद्भुत निर्माण है जिसे पूरी तरह से सफेद संगमरमर से निर्मित किया गया है |

Ayodhya is a city and the administrative headquarters of Faizabad district (officially Ayodhya district) of Uttar Pradesh, India It shares municipal corporation with its neighbouring twin town of Faizabad.
The city is identified by some with the legendary city of Ayodhya, and as such, as being the birthplace of Lord Rama and setting of the epic Ramayana. The accuracy of this identification is central to the Ayodhya dispute: modern scholars variously believe that the present-day Ayodhya is same as the legendary Ayodhya, or that the legendary city is a mythical place that came to be identified with the present-day Ayodhya only during the Gupta period around the 4th–5th century AD.
The present-day city is identified as the location of Saketa, which was an important city of the Kosala mahajanapada in the first millennium BC, and later served as its capital.[citation needed] The early Buddhist and Jain canonical texts mention that the religious leaders Gautama Buddha and Mahavira visited and lived in the city. The Jain texts also describe it as the birthplace of five tirthankaras namely, Rishabhanatha, Ajitanatha, Abhinandananatha, Sumatinath and Anantnath, and associate it with the legendary chakravartins. From the Gupta period onwards, several sources mention Ayodhya and Saketa as the name of the same city.
Owing to the belief as the birthplace of Rama, Ayodhya (Awadh) has been regarded as one of the seven most important pilgrimage sites (Saptapuri) for Hindus. It is believed that the birth spot of Rama was marked by a temple, which is said to have been demolished by the orders of the Mughal emperor Babur and a disputed mosque erected in its place. In 1992, it lead to the demolition of Babri mosque by Hindu mobs with the aim to replace it with a temple of Rama. The Ayodhya dispute concerned activism by Hindu groups to rebuild a grand temple of Rama at the site of Janmabhoomi.[5] The five judges of the Supreme Court bench heard the title dispute cases from August to October 2019. On 9 November 2019, the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, vacated the previous decision and ruled that the land belonged to the government per tax records. It further ordered the land to be handed over to a trust to build the Hindu temple. It also ordered the government to give alternate 5 acre land to Sunni Waqf Board to build the mosque. The construction of Ram Mandir commenced in August 2020

I planned an impromptu visit to Ayodhya to get a glimpse of what might be the third largest Hindu temple. The construction is going on full swing and the temple is expected to be ready by 2024!
Seated on the bank of the holy Saryu river, Ayodhya is an ancient city and also the birthplace of Bhagwaan Sri Raam. This was the backdrop set for the epic Ramayana that have been a household tale growing up. This city is also one of the most important pilgrimage locations amongst the seven in our country.
The construction site is flooded with engineers burning the midnight oil daily to get this temple up and running by 2024. We got the chance to interact with the Chief Engineer, Jagdish Alfe and explore the under construction site.
During festivals like Ram Navami, Dussehra, and Diwali Ayodhya is swarmed with visitors from all across the country to rejoice and celebrate the festivities!
I would highly recommend you to plan your visit to this holy town. The charm and the vibe the city has will leave an imprint in your memory forever!

Street guide to Ramkot, Ayodhya - scenes and tips of what to visit in the most holiest city in India
Ramkot is the word no longer used in regular vocabulary even by the locals in Ayodhya. They, for example, say just one word, Hanuman Ghari. From that point onwards it is just going to the temple, buying prasad and offering prayers to the deity. That is what most people do. But this blog and video is for those who want to go into a little more detail and a little more curious about history.
Ramkot is the name given to that part of Ayodhya which stands on elevated ground on the western part of the city. Ramkot is an ancient name and it marks the palace area of Ayodhya. If you check out Google Maps, you will find Ramkot in an approximate circular area. Since there is no history and absolutely no records, we can only estimate the locations after gathering information for online sources and the priests. In this regard, it is high time that we the citizens of this great civilization start recording history and making it available for the general population and for prosperity rather than leave it to verses which now most of the population does not understand.
One arc of the circle of Ramkot could be Ram ki Paidi. It is that part of the ghat which is a channel of the Saryu river at the north. The water channel separates the land in two banks, north and south. At the north end, citizens of the kingdom would come on the river banks to gather for any religious festivities announced by the king. While on the south side where the majestic ghats are located was the place for the royal family to stand and perform either the religious rituals or festivities on important days like Deepawali.
On the west side of Ramkot was probably Janki Ghat which is marked on Google Maps as Jhunki Ghat.
At the south side is the Raj Dwar, a massive gate marking the entry to the palace complex which consisted of Kanak Bhawan and Dashrath Mahal.
Kanak Bhawan is said to be made of gold. It was one of the finest palaces in Ayodhya and was gifted by Kaikeyi to Sita on the occasion of her marriage. After that it was destroyed and rebuilt many times over history. In the present form it was renovated in 1891 by Maharani Vrishbhan Kunwari. The largest idol pair was installed by Maharani herself. The second pair is the one retrieved by King Vikramaditya kept safe by him from the attack. Finally the third pair is believed to have been the one installed by Lord Krishna himself.
Dashrath Bhawan is the place where Dashrath used to stay. Of course the original palace would not have survived till long, but in that place is now a palace which is devoted to the faith of Lord Rama. We can see sadhus and priests reading various manuscripts related to Ram and Ramayan.
Finally in this location you shall see the majestic and the most popular temple in this area, Shri Hanuman Ghari Mandir. That is the place where in a tiny room, Hanuman used to stay, at the edge of the palace complex, guarding Ayodhya and Shri Ram. It was built into a massive temple later.
