जालौन उत्तर प्रदेश में स्थित एक ऐतिहासिक जिला है , जो मुख्य रूप से अपने ऐतिहासिक और धार्मिक स्मारकों के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। , इस जगह ने ऐतिहासिक रूप से कई उतार-चढ़ाव देखे हैं, जिनके पीछे एक इतिहास है। एक बहुत प्रसिद्ध ऋषि जलवान थे, जिनके नाम पर इस जिले का नाम जालौन पड़ा। इसी जिले में ‘आल्हा उदल’ के मामा भी रहते थे। जिसे “माहिल की नगरी” उरई कहा जाता है।उरई जालौन का सबसे बड़ा शहर और मुख्यालय है , यहां पर प्रसिद्ध माहिल का तालाब भी स्थित है। कालपी इस जिले का सबसे बड़ा और सबसे पुराना शहर है। इस शहर का उल्लेख महापुरादो में मिलता यह स्थान महृषि वेद व्यास का जन्मस्थान है । उन्होंने महाभारतपौराणिक ग्रन्थ लिखा था।

प्राचीन काल में इस क्षेत्र पर सम्राट ययाति का राज हुआ करता था जिनका उल्लेख पुराणों और महाभारत में किया गया है. जिले के नामकरण के बारे में दो मान्यताएं हैं. कहा जाता है कि प्राचीन काल में इस स्थान पर ऋषि जलवान रहा करते थे, उन्हीं के नाम पर इस स्थान का नाम जालौन पड़ा.

Dibiyapur is a town and a nagar panchayat in Auraiya district in the most populous state of Uttar Pradesh in India. It is situated on State Highway 21. It is linked to Phaphund railway station on Kanpur-Delhi section of Howrah-Delhi main line which is operated by North Central Railway. The district administrative headquarter of the town is Auraiya.
Dibiyapur town is located on State Highway 21 between Auraiya and Kannauj. It is served by Phaphund railway station which is on Kanpur-Delhi section of Howrah-Delhi main line opereted by North Central Railway at a distance 82 kilometer from Kanpur Central railway station and 148 km from Tundla Junction.
Dibiyapur is served by its local A graded Phaphund railway station (PHD) which is located on Kanpur-Delhi section of Howrah-Delhi main line and Howrah-Gaya-Delhi line.

इस जिले के उत्तर में कन्नौज जिला ,दक्षिण में यमुना नदी और जिला जालौन ,पूर्व में जिला कानपुर देहात तथा पश्चिम में जिला इटावा स्थित है। औरैया जनपद मुख्यालय राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग संख्या 2 मुगल रोड पर स्थित है जो कि कानपुर महानगर से 105 किलोमीटर पश्चिम तथा इटावा जनपद मुख्यालय से 63 किलोमीटर पूर्व में है।
देवकली मंदिर
देवकली का मंदिर औरय्या के जिला मुख्यालय की दक्षिणी दिशा और यमुना नदी के तट के पास स्थित है। प्राचीन कहानियों और रीति-रिवाजों के अनुसार, मंदिर 11 वीं शताब्दी एडी से संबंधित है, लेकिन पुरातात्विक दृष्टिकोण से यह 18 वीं शताब्दी में बनाया गया था। मंदिर मूल रूप से भगवान शिव को समर्पित है।
मां मंगलाकली मंदिर
शहर से पांच किमी दूर बीहड़ स्थित मां मंगला काली मंदिर सिद्ध शक्ति पीठ में शुमार है। यहां पर नवरात्र के अलावा भी श्रद्धालु मां के दरबार में दर्शन व पूजा आराधना करने आते हैं। दरबार में लगाई गई अरदास पूरी होती है। नवरात्र महापर्व पर झंडा व जवारे चढ़ाने गैर जनपदों के भक्त आते हैं। इतिहास:
यमुना तट से कुछ दूरी पर बीहड़ के ऊंचे टीले पर विराजमान मां मंगला काली शक्ति स्वरूपा हैं। वर्ष 1857 तक मंदिर के आसपास देवकली गांव बसा था। लोग अपनी कुल देवी के रूप में मां की पूजा आराधना करते थे। अंग्रेजों ने सब कुछ नष्ट कर दिया था। लेकिन मंदिर आज भी बना हुआ है। मां की पुरानी मठिया का ही जीर्णोद्धार कर भव्य रूप दिया गया है। इससे मंदिर की लोगों के प्रति आस्था और बढ़ गई। अब यहां पर मां दुर्गा, भैरों बाबा, शिव परिवार व अन्य देवी देवताओं की मूर्तियां स्थापित हैं। ऊंचाई पर होने के चलते यहां से यमुना नदी और बीहड़ का खूबसूरत नजारा आकर्षण का केंद्र है।
