On my bike again which recently had an awesome oil change. Me and Siloy, my Yamaha MT03, cruising my way to the farthest point of southern Cebu.
Santander is located 133 kilometers south of Cebu City. Actually the town is the southernmost tip of Cebu Island. Bordered by Samboan and Oslob in the north, the island of Negros (Neg. Oriental) to the south, to the east is Cebu Strait and to the west is the Tañon Strait.
Popular among travellers to and from Negros because of its ports in Liloan which offers ferry and roro trips to Sibulan, San JOse (Tampi) and also to Larena Siquijor. Many vehicles coming from Negros make a stopover in Santander's Park (Igwaron/Sanayon Park). This open space offers a view of the 4 components of Central Visayas- Cebu, Negros Oriental, Bohol and Siquijor.
Join me in my tour in and around Santander. From Barangay Pasil to Poblacion to Barangay Liloan and even the hilly Barangay of Bunlan where one can have a majestic and clearest view of Negros Island and the water that divides Cebu and Negros-the Tañon Strait.
Literally, I explored the town for beautiful spots both famous and unknown. Watch this video to know more of the Municipality of Santander.

Top 10 things to see on Cebu, Philippines this year
Cebu is located to the east of Negros, to the west of Leyte and Bohol islands. The province consists of Cebu Island, as well as 167 smaller islands, which include Mactan, Bantayan, Malapascua, Olango and the Camotes Islands. But the highly urbanized cities of Cebu, Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue are independent cities.
Cebu Island itself is long and narrow, stretching 196 kilometres (122 mi) from north to south and 32 kilometres (20 mi) across at its widest point. It has narrow coastlines, limestone plateaus and coastal plains. It also has rolling hills and rugged mountain ranges traversing the northern and southern lengths of the island.
Cebu's highest mountains are over 1,000 metres (3,300 ft) high. Flat tracts of land can be found in the city of Bogo and in the towns of San Remigio, Medellin and Daanbantayan at the northern region of the province.
Cebu City, officially the City of Cebu (Cebuano: Dakbayan sa Sugbo; Filipino: Lungsod ng Cebu), is the capital city of the province of Cebu and is the second city of the Philippines being the center of Metro Cebu, the second most populous metropolitan area in the Philippines after Metro Manila. Cebu is a 1st city income class highly urbanized city where political governance is independent and separate from the province of Cebu, and according to the 2015 census, it has a population of 922,611, making it the fifth most populated city in the country. Cebu City is a significant center of commerce, trade and education in the Visayas region.
The city is located on the mid-eastern side of Cebu island. It is the first Spanish settlement, the country's oldest city, and the first capital of the Philippines. It is considered as the Fount of Christianity in the Far East.
Cebu is the Philippines' main domestic shipping port and is home to about 80% of the country's domestic shipping companies. Cebu City is bordered to the northeast by Mandaue and the town of Consolacion, to the west are Toledo City, and the towns of Balamban and Asturias, to the south are Talisay City and the town of Minglanilla. Across Mactan Strait to the east is Mactan Island.
It is the center of a metropolitan area called Metro Cebu, which includes the cities of Carcar, Danao, Lapu-Lapu, Mandaue, Naga and Talisay; and the municipalities (towns) of Compostela, Consolacion, Cordova, Liloan, Minglanilla and San Fernando. Metro Cebu has a total population of 2,849,213.

7. As per locals and travelers, it would be better to hop on a Corominas bus since it's the only bus that will travel straight to Asturias. V.hires are parked in IT Park.
8. There is no available wifi connection, but there is a strong mobile data signal. Try to disconnect from the internet world and enjoy the place.
9. If you will stay at St. Anthony, you get an exclusive access to Maguiao waterfalls. Just communicate with the resort's management for trabsportation service.

Today's vlog is my visit to Naghalin, an old name of the present-day Asturias Cebu. From Cebu City (I.T. Park), I drove a car to the western part of Cebu province. Taking TCH-Balamban Road or the major component of N815 (Transcentral Highway). This road is very popular amongst riders and roadtripers as it offers breathtaking views of Cebu's Protected Landscape (CCPL) and the numerous restaurants, cafes and resorts along the road.
Taking a short stopover in Gaas Balamban. First barangay of Balamban bordering the last barangay (mountain) of Cebu City. Then I proceeded to travel further to Balamban and eventually to my destination town of Asturias. I even crossed accidentally the town limit of Asturias and reached Brgy. Antipolo in Tuburan. No regrets because I discovered a beautiful bridge/ beach spot. Hahaha! Then, I drifted back to Asturias exploring the outskirts of the town.

Not A Good Start! Traveling Around Cebu Island, Philippines, Daanbantayan To Asturias. Day 2
Cebu Island with Cebu City is my base for traveling the Philippines. My plan is to explore Cebu Island over several days checking out the backroads along the sea and beaches as much as possible. Today's trip starts at Virgin Island Resort in Daanbantayan and ends on the west side of Cebu in Asturias. White sand beaches, resorts, and towns along the way offer many opportunities to experience Philippine culture, beaches, and sites.
I am traveling on a Rusi 250 Classic motorcycle and expect the trip to last about 5 days.

A not so discovered Lake located in Asturias Cebu. Join me and let's explore together this relaxing place hidden in Cebu. Buswang Lake is one of the main natural attractions in Asturias. Visitors can jump on a boat and explore the lake. The lake is also the venue of some special events such as banca racing. Asturias might be a silent town in the northern parts of Cebu but the development of the lake and the emergence of establishments around the area is expected to bring in more tourists into the town.
