Chiapas is a southern Mexican state bordering Guatemala. Its mountainous highlands and dense rainforest are dotted with Mayan archaeological sites and Spanish colonial towns. In the colonial city of San Cristóbal de las Casas, the Templo y Ex-Convento Santo Domingo complex houses a baroque church and museum displaying regional artifacts. Surrounding it is a marketplace selling items such as colorful weavings.
Nowadays, Chiapas is known for its well-preserved ruins, natural beauty, and traditional culture. It's rich in both indigenous and Spanish influences, making it a unique destination in Mexico. It is home to ancient Maya ruins, gorgeous natural scenery, and friendly people.

Detalles de la ruta y costos ????
Ubicado al sur de México, Chiapas es uno de los estados más bonitos del país. Aquí te explico cómo hacer una ruta por los principales atractivos del estado y cuánto cuesta viajar a Chiapas por una semana visitando SanCristobaldelasCasas, TuxtlaGutiérrez y Palenque.
Si estás planeando un viaje a Chiapas y te preguntas qué ver y cómo organizar tu viaje aquí te presento una alternativa de ruta por una semana.
Día 1: llegada a Chiapas
El primer día es de llegada al estado de Chiapas, puedes hacerlo vía autobús o desde el aeropuerto internacional Ángel Albino Corzo. Desde la ciudad de México hay vuelos diarios y directos que ofrecen diferentes aerolíneas. Los vuelos van desde los 550 pesos mexicanos sencillos, pero te recomiendo calcular uno 1,500 a 2,000 pesos para un viaje redondo.
Desde el aeropuerto puedes tomar taxi a Chiapa de Corzo (260 pesos), Tuxtla Gutiérrez (230 pesos) o San Cristobal de las Casas (750 pesos). Para San Cristobal también tienes la opción de ir en camioneta compartida por 200 pesos mexicanos el trayecto.
Día 2. Tuxtla Gutiérrez
El día 2 lo dediqué a visitar Tuxtla Gutiérrez, la capital del estado. Se encuentra de un lugar lleno de museos, plazas y donde puedes pasar una tarde muy agradable en el Parque de la Marimba, donde se ofrecen diario espectáculos gratuitos.
Día 3. Tuxtla - Cañón del Sumidero - Chiapa de Corzo - San Cristobal de las Casas
El día 3 lo dediqué para moverme de Tuxtla Gutiérrez a San Cristobal de las Casas, pero lo hice utilizando un tour que me llevó antes al Cañón del Sumidero y al pueblo mágico de Chiapa de Corzo. El tour empieza a las 9:30 en tu hotel y finaliza sobre las 18 horas en San Cristobal de las Casas y tiene un costo de 450 pesos mexicanos (22 USD).
Día 4. Pueblos indígenas
Desde San Cristobal de las Casas puedes visitar dos de los principales pueblos indígenas de la región: San Juan Chamula y Zinacantán. El primero es famoso por conservar muy vivas sus tradiciones, mientras que el segundo por sus textiles. En este pueblo realizan el bordado de cintura para confeccionar piezas preciosas que puedes conseguir a muy buen precio.
Día 5. Cascadas de Agua Azul y Palenque
El día 5 lo dediqué a tomar el tour a las cascadas de Agua Azul y Palenque. Se trata de un tour que comienza a las 4 de la mañana y finaliza a la 10 de la noche. Es bastante largo pero se pueden apreciar las cascadas más famosas del estado y las ruinas arqueológicas de Palenque en un solo día y por 450 pesos mexicanos.
Puedes tomar un tour por 200 pesos mexicanos o ir por tu cuenta en el autobús público que sale desde el centro de San Cristobal de las Casas y combinar el trayecto con taxi por 90 pesos mexicanos.
Día 6 y 7. San Cristobal de las Casas
Los días 6 y 7 fueron para disfrutar San Cristobal de las Casas. Ese pueblo que de día es precioso para dar un paseo y subir para tener la vista de sus miradores y que de noche es perfecto para tomar una copa en alguna de sus muchísimas terrazas.

El milagro de la vida en las playas de Chiapas - Defensa de la tortuga marina en Barra de Zacapulco

En las playas de Chiapas, entre manglares, sucede un verdadero milagro. Una pequeña comunidad llamada Barra De Zacapulco en la biosfera de la Encrucijada lo hace posible.
De las 7 especies de tortugas marinas que existen en el mundo 6 escogen playas mexicanas para poner sus huevos, lamentablemente solo 1 de cada mil huevos llega a convertirse en una tortuga adulta.
Por eso salimos desde Tapachula para dirigirnos a la Encrucijada, reserva natural del Soconusco, en donde guiados por especialistas decidimos apoyar y ser testigos de los esfuerzos de esta comunidad para proteger a la tortuga golfina.
Playa Ventura Chiapas.
Aproximadamente a unos 40 minutos de Arriaga Chiapas se encuentra una playa semivirgen *Playa Ventura* Es un lugar en donde podemos comer delicioso. *Las combis salen de Arriaga a Punta Flor por el mercado de Arriaga Chiapas. *Podemos acampar en alguna de las palapas por consumo. *Recomiendo el servicio de la palapa la Sirenita, los platillos económicos y lo atiende su propietaria.
México, el Tren a la Tierra Prometida | Viajes Más Mortales
El viaje comienza en el pueblo guatemalteco de Tecum Uman, ubicado justo al otro lado del río Suchiate, que lo separa de México. Cada año, alrededor de 350.000 inmigrantes ilegales emprenden la peligrosa travesía de este río. Para ellos comienza un verdadero calvario, al final del cual quizás solo los más afortunados logren ingresar al territorio de los Estados Unidos. El costo de este viaje puede llegar a los 10.000 dólares. El miedo es omnipresente, reina en todas partes: miedo a las autoridades, a la policía corrupta, así como a las bandas que controlan el acceso a los trenes.

hola hola mis amigos. este es un mapa de chiapas hermoso. Chiapas está ubicado en el sureste de México, limita con los estados de Tabasco, Veracruz y Oaxaca con el Océano Pacífico al sur y Guatemala al este. Es el octavo estado más grande de México. El estado consta de 118 municipios organizados en nueve regiones políticas denominadas Centro, Altos, Fronteriza, Frailesca, Norte, Selva, Sierra, Soconusco e Istmo-Costa. Hay 18 ciudades, doce pueblos y 111 pueblos. Las principales ciudades incluyen Tuxtla Gutiérrez, San Cristóbal de las Casas, Tapachula, Palenque, Comitán y Chiapa de Corzo.
El estado tiene una geografía compleja con siete regiones distintas según el sistema de clasificación de Mullerried. Estos incluyen las Llanuras de la Costa del Pacífico, la Sierra Madre de Chiapas, la Depresión Central, el Altiplano Central, las Montañas del Este, las Montañas del Norte y las Llanuras de la Costa del Golfo. Las Llanuras de la Costa del Pacífico son una franja de tierra paralela al océano. Está compuesto en su mayor parte por sedimentos de las montañas que lo bordean por el lado norte. Es uniformemente plano y se extiende desde el cerro Bernal al sur hasta Tonalá. Posee suelos salinos profundos debido a su proximidad al mar. Tiene principalmente selva tropical caducifolia, aunque la mayor parte se ha convertido en pastizales para ganado y campos para cultivos. La Sierra Madre de Chiapas corre paralela a la costa del Pacífico del estado, de noroeste a sureste como continuación de la Sierra Madre del Sur. Esta zona tiene las altitudes más altas de Chiapas, incluido el volcán Tacaná, que se eleva 4,093 m sobre el nivel del mar. La mayoría de estas montañas son de origen volcánico aunque el núcleo es de roca metamórfica. Tiene una amplia gama de climas pero poca tierra cultivable. Está cubierto principalmente por selva tropical de altitud media, selva tropical de altitud alta y bosques de robles y pinos. Las montañas bloquean parcialmente las nubes de lluvia del Pacífico, un proceso conocido como levantamiento orográfico, que crea una región costera particularmente rica llamada Soconusco. Dentro de la depresión hay una serie de valles distintos. El clima aquí puede ser muy caluroso y húmedo en el verano, especialmente debido al gran volumen de lluvia recibido en julio y agosto. La vegetación original era bosque caducifolio de tierras bajas con algo de selva tropical de altitudes medias y algunos robles por encima de los 1.500 m sobre el nivel del mar. Chiapas (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈtʃjapas] (About this soundlisten)), officially the Free and Sovereign State of Chiapas (Spanish: Estado Libre y Soberano de Chiapas), is one of the 31 states that along with the federal district of Mexico City make up the 32 federal entities of Mexico. It is divided into 124 municipalities as of September 2017[9][10] and its capital city is Tuxtla Gutiérrez. Other important population centers in Chiapas include Ocosingo, Tapachula, San Cristóbal de las Casas, Comitán and Arriaga. It is the southernmost state in Mexico. It is located in Southeastern Mexico, and it borders the states of Oaxaca to the west, Veracruz to the northwest and Tabasco to the north,[11] and by the Petén, Quiché, Huehuetenango and San Marcos departments of Guatemala to the east and southeast. Chiapas has a coastline along the Pacific Ocean to the south.
In general, Chiapas has a humid, tropical climate. In the north, in the area bordering Tabasco, near Teapa, rainfall can average more than 3,000 mm (120 in) per year. In the past, natural vegetation in this region was lowland, tall perennial rainforest, but this vegetation has been almost completely cleared to allow agriculture and ranching. Rainfall decreases moving towards the Pacific Ocean, but it is still abundant enough to allow the farming of bananas and many other tropical crops near Tapachula. On the several parallel sierras or mountain ranges running along the center of Chiapas, climate can be quite temperate and foggy, allowing the development of cloud forests like those of the Reserva de la Biosfera el Triunfo, home to a handful of resplendent quetzals and horned guans.
Chiapas is home to the ancient Mayan ruins of Palenque, Yaxchilán, Bonampak, Chinkultic and Toniná.[12] It is also home to one of the largest indigenous populations in the country with twelve federally recognized ethnicities. Much of the state's history is centered on the subjugation of these peoples with occasional rebellions. The last of these rebellions was the 1994 Zapatista uprising, which succeeded in obtaining new rights for indigenous people.
