Acapulco Guerrero | El ícono Turístico de México
Acapulco Guerrero es el destino playero que más fama le ha dado a México a nivel internacional gracias a su bello entorno natural, su arena dorada, su clima tropical, sus aguas cálidas y su gente. Obviamente que el sitio es sumamente atractivo para quienes aman el mar, pero no sólo eso, pues cuenta con cosas interesantes que satisfacen todas las aficiones, y todas las edades.
En La Quebrada, esa piedra saliente de 35 metros de altura a la orilla del mar, verás a los clavadistas caer hacia la noche iluminada por antorchas. La Casa de los Vientos exhibe “La serpiente emplumada”, el mural de Diego Rivera. Barra Vieja te hará recordar la vastedad del mar. La Laguna de Coyuca ofrece una paleta de colores naranjas y rojos al ponerse el sol.
En Pie de la Cuesta te encontrará el sonido del mar incansable mientras das una caminata larga. En Acapulco convive la cultura nocturna con las playas más contrastantes, donde encontrarás donde nadar, dar una caminata o simplemente ver la puesta de sol.
Acapulco es un ícono del turismo en México, al convertirse en el primer destino de sol y playa que tuvo fama a nivel internacional. En la década de los 50, fue el escondite de vacaciones, fiestas y bodas del jet-set hollywodense y la realeza británica, que dejaban los escenarios o sus palacios para disfrutar de la belleza exuberante de sus aguas y acantilados que, hasta hoy, protegen la bahía ubicada en el estado de Guerrero.
Con el paso de los años y el aumento significativo de viajeros, Acapulco fue seccionado en tres principales zonas turísticas: Tradicional, Dorada y Diamante. Cada una tiene encantos propios que merecen más de un viaje para descubrirlos en su totalidad.
Comencemos por la zona Tradicional, la más antigua y donde encontrarás una de las playas más icónicas de Acapulco: Caleta. Aunque en Semana Santa la veamos repleta de gente, su fama no se apaga. Aquí sigue en pie la palapa La Cabaña, donde se inventó el coco loco (ron, vodka, tequila, limón, crema de coco, hielo y guirnaldas para decorar). También se siguen ofreciendo los paseos en lancha con fondo de cristal, para observar la virgen sumergida frente a la Isla Roqueta.
La zona Dorada se extiende por toda la costera Miguel Alemán hasta Playa Hornos. Aquí se concentran los principales hoteles Todo Incluido de Acapulco, los favoritos de los puentes vacacionales.
También se encuentra el parque acuático El Rollo y el mítico antro Baby’O, toda una insignia de la vida nocturna de Acapulco por ser el punto de encuentro de celebridades de la talla de Bono, Sylvester Stallone y, por supuesto, Luis Miguel.
Al comienzo de los años noventa, Acapulco añadió su zona más selecta: Punta Diamante. En este espacio que corre desde la carretera escénica hasta Barra Vieja, se sitúan exclusivos hoteles y resorts.
En la actualidad, Punta Diamante concentra los atractivos más nuevos de Acapulco, como: la tirolesa más larga del mundo sobre el mar; la casa de Dolores Olmedo con dos murales al exterior hechos por Diego Rivera e inspirados en la cultura azteca; un centro comercial con un canal navegable al estilo Venecia; y, restaurantes de comida internacional.

Located in Mexico's southern region along the Pacific coast, Guerrero borders the states of Mexico to the north, Morelos, Puebla and Oaxaca to the east, and Michoacan to the northwest. At this place be sure to check out the splendid architecture of the Santa Prisca church, a masterpiece of Mexican Baroque architecture. Taxco also hosts many notable events, such as the Silver Fair and Holy Week festivities. To truly admire the beauty of this town, we recommend that you take the cable car ride that departs from Hotel Monte Taxco. Near Taxco, you can visit the Cacahuamilpa Caverns, considered the most beautiful caverns in the country and a popular spot for cave diving. MEET ARCELIA RAMIREZ - One of Mexico's Best Actresses, who recently received the equivalent to an OSCAR in Mexico! (the ARIEL)
Arcelia Ramírez is a Mexican actress who has appeared in many films - over 50 to be precise, including TV shows. At a young age she became interested in acting. She studied acting at the Centro Universitario de Teatro (CUT), from where she was prepared for several plays produced by the same institution, including La pasión de Pentesilea, La Séptima Morada, La Noche de Hernán Cortés, Las Mujeres Sabias, Freda y Otras Griegas and Relaciones Peligrosas. She lived in France from 2007 to 2011, a period in which she kept up her work pace, coming to Mexico to film movies as diverse as Arturo Ripstein's Las razones del corazón and Victor Avelar's Cómo no te voy a querer. Meanwhile, her life in Paris was peaceful while she raised her family.
Most recently she was awarded the Ariel (which is equivalent to the OSCAR)... Throughout her career, which began in 1985 with the film El centro del laberinto, she has been nominated for important awards, such as the Ariel, at the Cannes Festival, at the Havana Festival, at the Latin American Film Festival in Lérida, among others. She has been nominated four times for the Ariel Award, twice for Best Actress (1997, 2000) and twice for Best Supporting Actress (2001 and 2003).
Arcelia attended the Cannes Film Festival in 2021 for her performance in the film La Civil, a fiction of the Belgian-Romanian director Teodora Mihai. In the film she plays Cielo, a mother searching for her daughter who was kidnapped by organized crime in northern Mexico. During the screening on July 10 at the Debussy Hall, Ramirez received an eight-minute standing ovation from the audience. An unprecedented and almost unbelievable experience for Arcelia, so much she said, that it marked her life and brought tears to her eyes.

The ambitious and growing Todos Santos Festival de Cine was originally an offshoot of San Francisco's Latino Festival, which Sylvia Perel, the founder and director of the Todos Santos Festival de Cine, founded and directed for 12 years. However, the Todos Santos festival has long since come into its own.
It is now a highly anticipated event in Baja California sur that is only bound to grow in stature and reputation as the years pass. HATS OFF TO SYLVIA for this amazing event!

The Ariel Award is an award that recognizes the best of Mexican cinema. Given annually, since 1946, by the Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences (AMACC), the award recognizes artistical and technical excellence in the Mexican film industry. The purpose of the Ariel recognition is to stimulate and increase the excellence of Mexican cinema, favor the growth of the industry, and promote the meeting and strengthening of the national film community. It is regarded as the most prestigious award in the Mexican film industry and considered Mexico's equivalent to the Oscars of the United States.
The statuette is in the image of a man and it was designed by the sculptor Ignacio Asunsolo. The original statuette is currently found inside Churubusco Studios in Mexico City. The name Ariel was inspired by a series of short writings called “El Ariel” by Uruguayan writer José Enrique Rodó that inspired generations of young Latin Americans in the first decades of the 20th century.
