It was an enjoyable seven-day trip , rediscovering the Northern Philppines traversing the loop from Manila-Nueva Vizcaya-Isabela-Cagayan Valley-Ilocos Norte-Ilocos Sur-La Union and back to Manila. The highways were so good and that traveling and driving was even more fun.

PHILIPPINE LOOP : APARRI, CAGAYAN - NORTHERN TIP OF LUZON | SUZUKI S-PRESSO | EP8
APARRI, CAGAYAN is a small town located in Northern Cagayan.
This town is quite popular as it was mentioned in the theme song of EAT BULAGA.
It sits in the mouth of the mighty Cagayan River, the widest and longest river in the Philippines.
It was then established as one of the major ports of the Galleon Trade, as it was situated in the northern tip of Luzon.
The town is at the typhoon belt, and is also an important location for typhoon tracking by the national weather agency, PAGASA, which has a meteorological station at the port.
If your traveling up north, 15 hours from Manila, the town of APARRI, is a must visit place.
In this quiet town, you can see the mouth of the Cagayan River at the PUNTA PIER, where the river meets the sea.
Across the Municipal Hall, you can enjoy the street foods in the town's park.
So, in our day 5 of our #philippineloop Series2022 adventures, from enjoying our camping at Nangaramoan Beach, the north easternmost tip of the Philippines, we directly drive using our #suzukispresso to the Northernmost part of Luzon, the APARRI WELCOME ARCH to have some photo ops.

Took a road trip to Santa Ana and stayed at the Nagaramoan Beach Resort! Then took a boat to Palaui Island aka the island where Survivor Cagayan was held! Got great shots of the lighthouse of Cape Engaño, and the beautiful view around it after climbing 229 steps (thank you Stairmaster)!

MAY 26, 2016—It was the second stop on our Cagayan Road Tour that started from Sta. Ana earlier in the morning and which will end in Tuguegarao City by the end of the day. Aparri has always been a special place in Cagayan Valley because of its strategic location. It sits directly at the Cagayan River Delta where the mighty Cagayan River, Philippines' longest and largest river, flows out into the sea in the Babuyan Channel.

This is the last road of Philippines on the North of Luzon. Route 101 Aparri.
Usually this road is one of the busiest road because Aparri is the business center of all towns of district 1 and 2 of Cagayan.
Aparri is the starting point of all travelers going to other places around the country. As well as the last road of the Philippines in Luzon.
It became a quiet road because of the pandemic, only private cars are on the road, public buses are off the road. That's why the government has the chance to worked and fixed the road for the goodness and safety of travelers.

AH26: Tuguegarao to Aparri, Cagayan
This segment covers the whole stretch of AH26 in Cagayan towards the north from Tuguegarao to Lal-lo then continues as Cagayan Valley Road or Route 101 till Aparri. The road is nice with sporadic road works mostly covering widening. The planned POIs have been visited except St. Dominic Parish Church a.k.a. Lal-lo Church which is undergoing repairs. A total of 5 churches & 2 church ruins were visited.
Apologies due to segment's end is supposed to be at Archdiocesan Shrine Of Our Lady Of The Rosary And St. Peter Thelmo Parish in Aparri but at PAGASA Aparri Weather Surveillance Radar Station instead. The former will be included on the next video segment.

We travel from Ah26 Lal-lo towards Aparri via the Cagayan Valley road up to the very end of this stretch. Aparri is a busy municipality and just beside the South China Sea. The end of this video is until the DPWH marker END of CVR and the port where you can see the strong waves. Finally i have seen Aparri. This was a part of my northern luzon end of the year drive.

Aparri, (Ibanag: Ili nat Aparri; Ilokano: Ili ti Aparri; Filipino: Bayan ng Aparri), officially the Municipality of Aparri, is a 1st class municipality in the province of Cagayan, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 65,649 people.[3]
It sits at the mouth of the Cagayan River, the longest river in the Philippines, about 55 miles north of Tuguegarao, the provincial capital.
Aparri has an approximate income of ₱90 million. The valley has been one of the largest tobacco-producing sections in the Philippines, and the town has a considerable coastwise trade.[4]

A tropical depression formed at the 7th of September near the Marshall Islands. The JTWC followed suit at 03:00 UTC and the system was classified as 26W. Late on the same day, the Japan Meterological Agency followed suit and named the system Mangkhut. With the subtropical ridge extending westwards at 30 km/h, the system gradually moved westwards.
