I've been Merloquet waterfalls a countless times already but I never get tired of seeing its beauty. Its natural staircase design is such a work of art. I brought my girlfriend here and filmed her while she was literally chilling with the cold water pouring over her head. Plus, we were the only people in Merloquet Falls Zamboanga City. It was a great experience
Merloquet falls is located in Barangay SIbulao, Zamboanga City, roughly 2 hours from Zamboanga's 'pueblo'. Take any van or bus that passes along Brgy Vitali (70 pesos) then stop over at Brgy. Sibualo. Ride a motor bike going to the waterfalls (100 to 150 pesos, make sure you got some haggling skills). It's easy.

Lamisahan Falls | Zamboanga City
Barangay Lamisahan has a sweet and meaningful history. It is one of the 98 Barangays of Zamboanga City.
Short Story: After the Second World War, American surveyors came together with some Tagalog men-guide and visited the area. One day while they were walking, they thought of a name to call the place. The Americans were joking with their Tagalog friends who served as their guide and named “LAMI-SA-MESA”, meaning the delicious and tasty food on the table. Someone said the name “lamisahan” could have been derived from the Tagalog words “lamisahan”, meaning they enjoy the fresh cool and sweet water from an open spring to the river.
