Seychelles Travel Guide - Exploring a hidden paradise

Seychelles Travel Guide - Exploring a hidden paradise

The Seychelles are a group of 115 islands, only a few inhabited, in the Indian Ocean that lie off the coast of East Africa, northeast of Madagascar. It's home to numerous beaches, coral reefs and nature reserves, as well as rare animals such as giant Aldabra tortoises. Mahé, a hub for visiting the other islands, is home to capital Victoria. It also has the mountain rainforests of Morne Seychellois National Park and beaches, including Beau Vallon and Anse Takamaka.

Mother Nature was unbelievably generous with the Seychelles, a fabled paradise whose islands lie scattered across the Indian Ocean. Spellbinding beaches are the main attraction. Exquisite ribbons of sand lapped by turquoise waters and backed by lush hills, palm trees and Dali-esque boulders. Beyond the beach, diving and snorkelling are brilliant in the warm waters amid abundant marine life, while few places on the planet do ocean-side luxury quite like the Seychelles. Mahé is the largest island and entry point to the Seychelles, with some fabulous resorts, restaurants and beaches, not to mention the small capital city of Victoria. But it's also the busiest island, with glorious Praslin and La Digue a short boat ride away. Even further out, there are real lost-world islands to be found.

The Outer Seychelles are corralline and mostly uninhabited. Visitors are rare; travel is via private yacht or remote airstrip on small local planes. It includes :

We found the SECRET BEACH in Seychelles - Anse Petit Boileau

We found the SECRET BEACH in Seychelles - Anse Petit Boileau
Off We Go: Adventures

A beach that hardly anyone knows, the Anse Petite Boileau is located in the south of Mahé and is virtually untouched. Great light powder sand with palm trees lined by the turquoise sea.
Petit Boileau Trail is 4.0-km out-and-back hike near Bon Espoir, Anse Boileau, it's steep in places but ideal for a quiet walk in the jungle.
The majority of the trail is paved roadway, overgrown and quite slippery when wet but worth it to arrive at the isolated beach.

Anse à la Mouche, Mahé - Beaches of the Seychelles

Anse à la Mouche is an open, curved bay in the south-west of Mahé with extremely flat, calm, shallow water, as well as beautiful scenery and a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. Great for families, snorkelling, and swimming, the beach is rarely empty, but never crowded.

Anse Barbarons on Mahé, Seychelles

The beach offers wonderful white sand and shade and the water is great at all times of the day for various activities. At high tide it is ideal for swimming, while at low tide there is a gorgeous sandy beach to enjoy.

Anse Barbarons:

Beach Anse Boileau Seychelles, a fisherman's bay on Mahe.

Anse Boileau is a long, curved bay on the west coast of Mahé, just along the coast from Anse à la Mouche. This is also one of the Seychelles’ administrative regions, so the area is home to a number of facilities including a police station, supermarkets, and shops. The water here is often too shallow to swim properly. Getting to the beach is simple thanks to the nearby bus stop, on the main road bordering the beach. Getting here by car is also simple, and there are several parking spaces next to the beach, so holidaymakers who decide to rent a car can certainly get to Anse Boileau with ease. The surrounding area is home to a number of different buildings, including a fire station and a police station, and there are also some guesthouses nearby, so some will simply arrive at Anse Boileau on foot. The beach itself is suitable for swimming and snorkelling thanks to the small waves and the shallow water. While some parts of the beach are a bit muddy, in general the seabed is sandy and the beach itself clean. There can be some seaweed from June to September, and the beach itself may disappear at high tide, but in general there is much to like about the bay. Sometimes, you may also see windsurfers enjoying the calm ocean surface, and the beach is also great for sunset views, especially for photographs. All in all, Anse Boileau has a few tricks up its sleeve that make it worth a visit, including nearby facilities and accommodation, calm, shallow water, and easy-access via car or bus. The beach is also the start of the cross-island Chemin Montagne path, which is great for anyone who wants to walk across the island.

Where to go during pandemic? Seychelles! Anse du Riz ⛵- drone scenic view 4k ????️

This is one of my favourites islands in Seychelles!

Look at that sea blue colours and the beautiful contrast with the white sand ????

It is easily (and maybe only?) reachable by boat.

We had to pay 200 rs per person to enter that area of the marine park. I initially thought it was a scam or something when we gave that money to two total strangers in the middle of the sea ????
But it was so worth it, just look how stunning it is! I would go back right away if I could!

Note that I didn’t even use anything to grade the colours, and even so, I still find that the cameras don’t do it justice. It was just so g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s!

It was my 2nd or 3rd time using a Mavic Air, any recommendations to have a more scenic view is welcome ????
