Welcome to NAXOS! We took a 6 hour Ferry from Athens to the beautiful island of NAXOS! ???????? The wind was so bad, the cyclades are actually known to be pretty windy at times and during our visit there was actually a storm brewing, hence the super loud wind throughout and the questionable weather! Saying that, we did actually manage to explore as much as we could, being October some of the beach restaurants had started to close so we were lucky to visit when we did!

????️ Welcome to the Island of Thassos, one of the most spectacular islands of the Aegean Sea. Part of Greece, the island hosts amazing beaches made of marble or golden sand, great history, and diverse scenery. This video is a documentary film about my one-week trip on the island.
During this virtual tour, you will be able to explore beaches for relaxation, hikes for diversification and cities, spiritual places, and other cultural places for cultural enlightenment. Arriba Beach, Marble Beach, La Scala Beach, Giola, Dragon Cave, Theologos Village are just a few of the places that you'll be able to see.
????With the beauty and variety of its scenery, its plethora of fine beaches, interesting antiquities, picturesque mountain villages, and excellent accommodation, the Emerald Island (as it's called) is a materialization of most people’s preconceived ideas of what a Greek island is all about. Thassos has the added advantages of an efficient tourist infrastructure, friendly and helpful islanders, and a road system with regular bus services that ring the island. However, I won’t deny that having your own car gives you a lot more comfortable and saves a lot of time when you plan to discover the place. Now firmly established on the package holiday map, fortunately, Thassos has not been vulgarized by commercialism and here visitors are respected and not taken advantage of.

The best secrets of Thassos
Thassos (or Thasos) is situated in the north Aegean Sea. It is the northernmost island in the Aegean region and is just off the coastline of the Greek mainland. This island is part of the Kavala prefecture. Thassos is situated about 10 km away from the southeast of the Macedonian seaport of Kavala.
Thassos island was first inhabited by the Phoenicians. During the Balkan Wars, in 1914, Thassos Island came under Greek control. Before that, Thassos had a turbulent history of wars and battles between different regimes including the Athenians, the Persians, the Lacedaemonians, the Romans, the Latins, and the Turks. They all tried to control Thassos.
While in Limenas, which is also referred to as Thassos Town, one can have a glimpse of the numerous ruins on which the modern city was built, which speaks for itself about the rich history of this region.

Ornos Beach in Mykonos, Greece - Gorgeous, Popular, Great for Families
Ornos Beach in Mykonos is one of the best beaches on the island. Great for families, easy to get to by public bus, & close to Mykonos Town. Many restaurants, convenience stores, and great hotels. The water taxi shuttles to other popular beaches.
Located just 3 km from Mykonos Town, Ornos Beach is one of the most popular on Mykonos. April/Mai 2019. Wir segeln durch die Rio Andirrio Brücke in den Golf von Korinth, weiter durch den Kanal von Korinth und zwischen der Insel Euböa und dem Festland hindurch nach Nordgriechenland. Dieser Streckenabschnitt wurde zu einem unsere Highlights auf der bisherigen Reise. Die zweitgrösste Insel Griechenlands bietet eine fantastische Kulisse und idyllische einsame Ankerplätze. Wir fuhren durch Chalkida bzw. Euripos, die schmalste Meerenge der Welt, wo die gewaltigen Strömungen bis zu zwölf Mal pro Tag die Richtung wechseln. Wir statten den nördlichen Sporaden einen kurzen Besuch ab & kommen pünktlich Mitte Mai auf Sithonia, dem mittleren Finger Chalkidikis an.
