श्री संत गुलाब बाबा का जन्म 1 जुलाई 1932 को ताकरखेड़ (मोरे) नामक एक छोटे से गाँव में हुआ था, जो महाराष्ट्र (भारत) में अमरावती शहर के अंजनगांव सुरजी तालुका में पड़ता है।
संत का जन्म एक गरीब परिवार में हुआ था और परिवार के सदस्यों की आजीविका को बनाए रखने के लिए उन्हें छोटे-छोटे काम करने पड़ते थे। उन्हें बहुत छोटी उम्र से ही भजन सुनने का बहुत शौक था और वे गुरु नमनन्द महाराज के अनुयायी बन गए।
श्री संत गुलाब बाबा कृष्ण के अवतार हैं और वे कोई भी वाद्य यंत्र बजा सकते थे और अपने अनुयायियों को उनके बीच सामंजस्य बिठाते हुए मंत्रमुग्ध कर देते थे। वह मानव जाति की भलाई में विश्वास करते थे।
उन्होंने हमेशा कहा। दूसरों से प्रेम करो, अपने मन को शुद्ध रखो और दूसरों से प्रेम करना सीखो। श्री संत गुलाब बाबा ने 9 मार्च 2001 को अपने गृहनगर ताकरखेड़ में समाधि ली
Shri Sant Gulab Baba was born on 1st July 1932 in a small village called TaakerKhed(More), which falls in Anjangaon Surji Taluka of Amravati City in Maharashtra(India).
Sant was born in a poor family and had to do small odd jobs to sustain the livelihood of family members. From a very young age, he was very fond of listening to bhajans and became a follower of Guru Namanand Maharaj.
Shri Sant Gulab Baba is Krishna's avatar and he could play any musical instrument and would enchant his followers spreading harmony among them. He believed in the goodness of mankind.
He always said. Love others, Keep your mind pure and learn to love others . Shri Sant Gulab Baba took his samadhi on 9th March 2001 in his hometown TaakerKhe

मंदिराच्या लगतच जंगल प्रदेश असल्यामुळे येथील वातावरण नैसर्गिक व शांत आहे. जवळच टेकड्या असून यावर नव्याने बांधलेला एक तलाव येथील सौंदर्यात भर टाकण्याचे काम करीत आहे. अमरावतीहून १० किमी आणि अमरावतीचे जुळे शहर असलेल्या बडनेरा गावानजीक सुमारे ०५ किमी अंतरावर कोंडेश्वरचे अतिप्राचीन मंदिर स्थित आहे. अमरावती च्या पूर्वेस पोहरा मालखेड चे जंगल आणि पहाडी भाग असून या जंगलाला लागून व शहराच्या दक्षिनेकडे असलेल्या बायपास रोड वरून या मंदिराकडे जाता येते. कोंडेश्वरचे मंदिर हे एक प्राचीन व वैशिष्टपूर्ण असे महादेवाचे देवालय असून ह्या देवालयाची स्थापना साधारणता ५००० वर्षापूर्वी थेट भरत राजा याचे काळात व त्याचा बंधू राजा विदर्भ याने केल्याचे मानण्यात येते. प्रत्यक्षात या देवालयाचे बांधकाम किंवा जीर्णोद्धार ८०० वर्षापूर्वी म्हणजेच तेराव्या शतकात देवगिरीच्या यादव कुळातील राजा कृष्णदेवराय यांच्या काळात त्यांचा प्रधान व कुशल स्थापत्यज्ञ हेमाद्रीपंत यांच्या देखरेखीत झालेला आहे. श्री. कौडण्यमुनींच्या नावावरून या मंदिराचे नाव कोंडेश्वर असे पडले. याच कौडन्यमुनीचे शिष्य श्री. खंडेश्वर यांनी नांदगाव खंडेश्वर या ठिकाणी साधना करून तेथे शिवलिंगाची स्थापना करून तेथे साधना केली म्हणून नांदगाव येथील शिवाचे खंडेश्वर असे नाव प्रचलित झाले. या दोन मंदिरांचा असा सबंध असल्यामुळे लोक या दोन्ही ठिकाणची पायी वारी करतात.मंदारीच्या बाह्यअंगावर कोरीव नक्षीकाम काम आहे, कोरीव शिल्प मात्र कोरलेले नाहीत. फक्त मंदिराच्या जोत्यावर, एका खालच्या पट्टीकेत हत्ती विहार करताना दर्शविण्यात आले आहेत. त्याकाळी काळ्या पाषाणात सुमारे १५ फुट उंचीचे हेमाडपंती पद्धतीने बांधण्यात आले होते. पुढे पेशवे काळात व नंतर नागपूरकर भोसले यांचे काळात मंदिराची देखभाल केल्या गेली. या शिखर नसलेल्या मंदिरावर ई.स. १९७४ साली सुमारे ७१ फुट उंचीचे कोरीव दगडात शिखर बांधले गेले. हे शिखर सुद्धा तितकेच सुरेख, कोरीव बांधले गेल्यामुळे मंदिर अधिकच आकर्षक वाटते. याच वेळी सभामंडप, धर्मशाळा, प्रार्थनास्थळ, परकोट ई. चे सुद्धा बांधकाम केल्या गेले. कोंडेश्वराचे हे प्राचीन मंदिर पश्चिममुखी आहे, मंदिराच्या आवारात व बाहेर काही प्राचीन भग्न मूर्ती व कोरीव दगड विखरून पडलेले दिसतात. यावरून हा परिसर बराच प्राचीन असावा असे वाटते. या ठिकाणी महाशिवरात्रीला दर्शनासाठी भाविकांची मोठी गर्दी होत असते. डॉ. जयंत वडतकर 9822875773

The ancient name of Amravati isUdumbravati, prakrut form of this is Umbravati and Amravati is known for many centuries with this name. The mispronunciation form of this is Amravati and now the Amravati is known with the same. It is said that Amravati is named for its ancient Ambadevi temple. The ancient proof of existence of Amravati can get from stone carved inscription on the base of marble statue of God Adinath (Jain God) Rhishabhnath. This shows that, these statues were set up here in 1097. Govind Maha Prabhu visited Amravati in 13 th century, at the same time Warhad was under the rule of Deogiri's Hindu King (Yadav). In 14th century, there was famine (drought) in Amravati & people abandoned Amravati and left for Gujrat and Malva. The local people were returned back after several years at Amravati, the result of this was scanty population. In 16 th century, Mager Aurangpura (today's, 'Sabanpura') was presented for Jumma Majseed byBadashah Aurangjeb. This reveals that Muslims and Hindus lived together here. In 1722, Chhatrapati Shahoo Maharaj presented Amravati and Badnera to Shri Ranoji Bhosle, by the time Amravati was known as Bhosle ki Amravati. The city was reconstructed and prospered by Ranoji Bhosle after the treaty of Devgaon and Anjangaon Surji and victory over Gavilgad (Fort of Chikhaldara). The British general author Wellesly camped in Amravati, particular place is still recognized as camp, by Amravati people. The Amravati city came in to existence at the end of 18th century. Union state of Nijam and Bosale ruled the Amravati. They appointed the revenue officer, but defense system was worsted. Gavilgad fort was conquered by Britishers on 15th Dec' 1803. According to the Deogaon treaty, the Warhad was presented as the token of the friendship to Nijam.
