Nkolandon, The hight of dream. Nkolandom is a magnificient touristic center located 18Kms away from Ebolowa, in the southern part of Cameroon on the road from Ebolowa-Ambam-Mekomo.
About 3 hours south from Yaoundé, reachable by generally very good roads, Nkolandom Touristic Centre is a very well maintained, hotel+restaurant+activities center located in a very scenic area. The rooms are very clean, confortable, with air-con. The food at the restaurant is very good and the service is good although somewhat slow. Several activities are available (walks in the area, boat, fishing, horse riding, museum visit to name a few). Prices are very reasonable, specially for a quality which is on par with the best in Cameroon.

Nkolandon, la hauteur du rêve. Nkolandom est un magnifique centre touristique situé à 18Kms d'Ebolowa, dans la partie sud du Cameroun sur la route d'Ebolowa-Ambam-Mekomo.
À environ 3 heures au sud de Yaoundé, accessible par de très bonnes routes généralement, le centre touristique de Nkolandom est un hôtel + restaurant + centre d'activités très bien entretenu situé dans une région très pittoresque. Les chambres sont très propres, confortables, avec air conditionné. La nourriture au restaurant est très bonne et le service est bon bien qu'un peu lent. Plusieurs activités sont proposées (promenades dans les environs, bateau, pêche, équitation, visite de musée pour n'en citer que quelques-unes). Les prix sont très raisonnables, surtout pour une qualité à la hauteur des meilleures du Cameroun.

Ebolowa est une communauté urbaine du Cameroun, située au cœur de la forêt équatoriale. C'est le chef-lieu de la région du Sud et du département de la Mvila.
Géographie
Elle est reliée à Mbalmayo, chef-lieu du département du Nyong-et-So'o et à Yaoundé, capitale politique du Cameroun, par un axe routier bitumé de 168 km, aux frontières gabonaise et équatoguinéenne par un axe de 120 km, et à l’océan Atlantique (Kribi) par deux axes non revêtus, un de 160 km via Akom II et un autre de 180 km par Lolodorf.
Histoire
Ebolowa capitale historique et traditionnelle du pays boulou, connait son apogée et son déclin avec la culture du cacao. La commune mixte urbaine d'Ebolowa est instaurée en 1947, elle devient par la suite, Commune de plein exercice, Commune urbaine, puis Commune urbaine à régime spécial d’Ebolowa le 25 novembre 1993. La Communauté urbaine d'Ebolowa est érigée en 20084 constituée des deux communes d'Ebolowa 1er et Ebolowa 2e.
Enseignement supérieur
La Faculté des sciences juridiques et politiques (FSJP) de l'Université de Yaoundé II compte 1 500 étudiants en 2019 sur le campus annexe d'Ebolowa établi dans la capitale du Sud depuis 2015.

C'est un groupe ethnique de 6 millions de personnes, qui sont originaires du Cameroun, Gabon, Guinée-Equatoriale, Congo-Brazzaville et des îles de Sao Tomé et Principe à 300 kms des côtes gabonaises. Au Cameroun, les Beti-Fang sont originaires de trois régions: Centre, Sud et Est et sont autochtones des villes de Yaoundé (la capitale), Ebolowa, Mbalmayo, Sangmelima, une partie de la ville de Kribi, Ambam, Obala, Monatélé etc... Les Beti-Fang ont plusieurs danses traditionneles et voici l'une d'elles.

The Nkolandom Tourist Center is housed in a basin surrounded by wooded mountains. It is built at the entrance to a village of 2,000 souls, made up largely of farmers (cocoa, food crops), small breeders, craftsmen, students from technical high school and primary school, active or retired civil servants, the orphanage. Nkolandom is located along the Ebolowa – Mekomo – Ambam axis, the Ebolowa – Nkoemvone – Nkolandom section (18km) being paved. It can be covered in 15 minutes, in a vehicle, at an average speed of 60 km/h. The Nkolandom Tourist Center has a mini shuttle bus for the transport of its customers.
