Cholula, Mexico: They killed everyone
Today I travel to Cholula, Puebla, Mexico. This suburb of the city of Puebla is famous for its nightlife, and the giant, Great Aztec Pyramid that the city is built around.
I made my way from Puebla city by local bus, explored, climbed the ruins, interacted with locals, ate Mexican food, and eventually made my way back to the city proper.

En Cholula hay Talavera, el arte indígena y modernidad. En Cholula se respiran profundos aires prehispánicos. La ciudad fue levantada sobre los cimientos de una gran urbe indígena.
La Cholula prehispánica fue una gran metrópolis habitada durante miles de años. Pensó Hernán Cortés, al ver la cantidad de teocalis imaginó que se podría orar en un templo distinto cada día del año. Sobre esos santuarios indígenas se construyeron templos; y hoy Cholula tiene 37 iglesias, algo sorprendente para una ciudad de su tamaño.
La imagen de la conquista en la Iglesia de los Remedios preside desde lo más alto de la gran pirámide. La Capilla de la Soledad de la Parroquia de San Andrés da fe.

[Inside] The Pyramid of Cholula, Puebla, Mexico
The Great Pyramid of Cholula, also known as Tlachihualtepetl is a huge complex located in Cholula, Puebla, Mexico. It is the largest archaeological pyramid in the New World, as well as the largest pyramid known to mankind. It stands 180 ft above the surrounding plain and it measures 1,480 by 1,480 ft at its base. The temple was dedicated to the god Quetzalcoatl.

Taxco en náhuatl significa lugar donde se juega la pelota y en la actualidad es uno de los mejores sitios de México para enamorarte, este no debería ser un pueblo mágico sino un patrimonio de la humanidad, debido a su riqueza histórica y sobretodo arquitectónica, como el templo de Santa Prisca en pleno centro, hermosa de día y de noche, la podrás ver desde diversas terrazas ideales para comidas o cenas románticas, este es el lugar perfecto para perderte en sus callejones y descubrir porque se le llama la ciudad de la plata, que por cierto el mejor lugar para verla es de el Cristo Monumental guardián de la Joya de México, descubre sus museos, algunos de ellos son minas y hasta hay hoteles que tienen murales dignos de visitar sin importar de donde seas, acompáñame a descubrir uno de los pueblos más bellos del continente americano, esto es Taxco Guerrero.

Taxco se encuentra en el norte de Guerrero a menos de dos horas y media de la caseta del sur de Ciudad de México, incluso más cerca que de Acapulco la ciudad más poblada del estado y a dos horas de Chilpancingo la capital de Guerrero.
¿Cómo llegar en transporte público?
Desde la terminal de Taxqueña, en la Central de Autobuses Sur en la Ciudad de México, salen los autobuses con un costo aproximado de $250.00
¿Dónde hospedarse?
Yo me hospedé en el Hotel Monte Taxco por un precio de $3,525 pesos por dos noches, aunque lo mejor hubiera sido solo quedarme una noche y la otra en el centro del pueblo.

????????In this video we're heading to Cholula, YES it's the BIGGEST pyramid in the world (in terms of overall size, not height), located close to Puebla in Central Mexico, which itself is just 2 hours on the bus from Mexico City.
If you're looking for places to visit in Mexico or even as a (slightly long) day trip from CDMX, Cholula provides a great opportunity to not only visit this awesome sight but also learn more about Mexican history, Puebla itself, Popcatepetl and Iztaccihuatl volcanoes and more.
On the top of the pyramid (which isn't fully excavated, it looks like a large hill) is a church built by the Spanish in the 1600s. Inside you can marvel at the beautiful interior, chandelier and listen to traditional Mexican music, as well as have an amazing view!
You can also visit the museum and archaeological zone....it's a must do while you're in Mexico!
