Allen, Northern Samar
Allen serves as an important transit point, connecting Samar and other islands with Luzon. It is opposite the Luzon transit point in the municipality of Matnog, Sorsogon. The primary modes of transport are the inter-island bus route via the Maharlika Highway, and the ferry crossing the San Bernardino Strait. Its location as a transit point makes it a future 'transitropolitan' area in the country.

Our BOAT BROKE in the MIDDLE of the OCEAN!!! Dinagat Islands » Surigao City » Mindanao
We want to share the WHOLE story of what happened on the M/V Vince Gabriel boat on September 25, 2022.
FYI: This was in the middle of our 10-day Mindanao Province-Hopping tour and we normally create travel videos and travel vlogs in every province we go to, so it just so happened that we we filmed this entire boat experience on the way to Surigao.
The boat ride was from San Jose, Dinagat Islands to Surigao City, the waves were so big that the outrigger was smashed by the waves, and it cracked. Eventually when the waves got bigger, the entire outrigger was completely ripped off, and we were still 30 minutes away from the shore.
Praise God, we safely made it to Surigao City port and nobody was hurt.
Special thanks to all the boat crew, all the staff, and most importantly the BOAT CAPTAIN for taking control and letting us arrive safely!
Exploring Boracay, the Philippines Most Popular Vacation Destination
Borocay Island in the Philippines is one of the top destinations for anyone traveling to the Philippines. It is also a super popular vacation destination for local Filipinos as it is only a 30 minute flight from Manila! BUT, Boracay Island also has a reputation for being so busy that you can't actually enjoy the beach or water. If you caught our last video, you know that getting here was an adventure in itself. We were worried that Boracay wouldn't be worth all the time and coordination it took to get here (if you missed our last video about traveling to Boracay, you can watch it here:
Boracay is most famous for it's extremely long and beautiful beach which is aptly named White Beach. The sand on White Beach is fine and soft and the beach seems to go on forever (we never did find the end of it!). All along White Beach there are restaurants, bars, shops, and activity centers where tourists can eat or shop while looking out onto the ocean. Boracay is divided into Stations (Station 1, 2, and 3) which are kind of like neighborhoods, and no matter which Station your hotel is located in, you'll be able to walk to the beach and all the beachfront shops. The nearness of the beach to all of the tourist attractions is definitely one of the biggest benefits to visiting Boracay Island!
If you're visiting Boracay, there are tons of awesome water activities that you can do from White Beach. We chose two of the most popular ones - crystal kayaking and parasailing! We honestly thought the crystal kayak would be kind of lame, but we had a lot of fun floating on the water while somehow seeing the bottom of the ocean! And the thrill of parasailing probably doesn't need to be explained - just watch the video for some good laughs at the hilarious Insta 360 footage we captured while hanging in the sky :)
At the end of the video we will tell you whether or not we feel Boracay is worth traveling to in 2023. Although we only show one day in this video, we actually spend 5 in Boracay and were able to get a pretty good feel for it! It is definitely a very touristy place and has a much more resorty vibe than we were used to in El Nido, but you'll have to watch the video for our full thoughts!

Our Northern Samar adventure is not over yet, from Biri Island we headed straight to Brgy. Imaga and stayed at Villa Leonor. Unfortunately we weren’t able to booked a room for the 3 of us, we just settled in to stay in a cottage. No regrets, Villa Leonor is really safe and the owners are approachable. Below are the complete details: (also, i have some few clips in Calbayog City)

HOW TO GET THERE?
⭕ From Calbayog or Catbalogan, ride a van going to Allen P100-P200/person. From Catarman, ride a jeep going to Allen P50-P60/person.
⭕ After arriving in the terminal,
Negotiate your driver to drop you off where habal-habal drivers are that will bring you straight to Cabacungan (Villa Leonor) P40-50/person.
⭕️ Punta Rock in Cabacungan is just walking distance from Villa Leonor. be careful when walking some of the rocks are slippery.

Decided to go in one of Samar's go-to getaways.
Caba Beach is a white sand beach located in Barangay Cabacungan, Allen Northern Samar. The beach is a sandy gulf with aquamarine waters. The beachfront is wide enough to play beach volley and frisbee. The water is safe and doesn't go sudden deep. You can rent a kayak with your friends to enjoy the calm waters. Caba is also just a few meters away from the famous Imaga Beach. I haven't really stayed for so long as I only did a side trip because I checked in at the latter.

How To Get There?
1. From Calbayog, ride a van going to Allen (fare is PhP 100).
2. Upon arriving at the van terminal, ride a pedicab and tell the driver to drop you at the habal-habal stop for Cabacungan (Fare is PhP 10).
3. Ride a habal-habal to Cabacungan, tell the driver to drop you at Caba.
You can buy food inside the area network signals are available.
You can ask the habal-habal driver to fetch you at the specified time you like.
