Philadelphia Pennsylvania WORST Parts At Night

This is CRAZY! Here's some of the worst areas at night in Kensington/Philadelphia, PA.

If you want to see the day time comparison of this just hours before on the same day, the link is here:
x

Birmingham Alabama WORST Areas

This is easily one of the most DANGEROUS cities in America! Birmingham, Alabama has a violent crime rate of 393% OVER the National Average and its only continuing to get worse. It was a hot summer day, and what I found were so many rundown, dilapidated, or just flat out abandoned places it was crazy. The poverty rate is staggering at over 24%, and is one of the worst in the United States. Let's take a drive through some of the worst areas of Birmingham, AL.
x

Nashville, Tennesee WORST Areas

Nashville, TN what happened here?! Most people would think Nashville is a beautiful place with a thriving city full of fun, music, and adventure (and for the most part you would be right) but you might be surprised to know that Nashville is also very dangerous! With a violent crime rate of 198% over the national average, that might make you stop and think twice. Statistically, 98% of cities within the United States are safer than Nashville, crazy right? Let's take a drive and check out some of the worst areas.

With all that said by the way, even though it has its bad spots, I absolutely love this place. I have spent tons of time here and met some great people throughout the years. There is a LOT of gentrification happening and every time I come back I see a lot of change.

What Happened To Akron, Ohio?

Akron, Ohio...WOW! High in violent crime with an unreal poverty level, this city is giving Cleveland a run for its money. This Rust Belt city has been on the decline for quite some time now, and a recovery doesn't look like it'll be happening any time soon. There's a lot of vacant houses, empty commercial buildings, and rough areas. The population has been steadily dropping for decades and good jobs are hard to come by. People are simply choosing to leave and find a better opportunity elsewhere. On the upside, the amenities are excellent, housing prices are decent, and overall cost of living is better than average. Provided you can find a job, would you take the trade off? Let's take a drive and check out some of the worst areas!

Brady's Run Park - Beaver Falls | Pennsylvania

For years my family has traveled to this quaint park located within the rolling hills of Beaver Falls, PA. Brady's Run features over 2,000 acres of wilderness to explore as well as a 28 acre lake with various fishing and hiking opportunities. This park is also over 30 minutes from Pittsburgh, making it an ideal day trip to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. I hope you enjoy today's short adventure and stay tuned for more content coming soon.

Butler County Tourism | Zelienople, PA | #2!

How much more of Zelie do you need to see to come and visit? The best people, places, food, and more. Come see for yourself!

Located in Western Pennsylvania, Butler County offers a glimpse of small-town life, yet is close to major cities. We are only 25 miles from Pittsburgh, 325 miles from Philadelphia, and 380 miles from New York City.

Some of the earliest known history begins with first U.S. President George Washington, who passed through the area around the same time the French & Indian War began. Butler County has plenty of other interesting history, as well. It was founded in 1800 and named for Gen. Richard Butler, a colonial officer in the American Revolution.

Many of the towns hold rich German history; including Harmony, founded in 1804 by the Harmony Society of German Lutheran Separatists who were seeking religious freedom, and Saxonburg, which still maintains the architectural charm of a quaint German hamlet. Saxonburg was co-founded by John Roebling who also invented wire rope and designed the Brooklyn Bridge.

Present-day, the county has museums and many historic locations which interpret the area’s past. Special events and reenactments offer living history as well.

Camden, New Jersey | What Happened?

Camden, NJ is INSANE! This is easily one of the worst and most dangerous cities in America. It truly looks like the aftermath of a war. Camden ranks one of the highest violent crime rates in the United States with 313% over the national average, and the poverty rate is around 33%. The population is sitting at around 70k and has been on the decline for decades. Rent and housing is cheaper here than most other cities in New Jersey, but would you take the trade off? Let's take a drive and check it out!

Hopewell Lake to Hopewell Furnace - Hiking Into History - Scenic Pennsylvania!

Step back in time at Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site, 848 scenic acres dedicated to the preservation of an iron furnace community that helped build a young fledgling nation into an industrial power house. Here, in scenic and historic Berks County Pennsylvania, where cannon and shot were forged for the Continental Army, one can freely wander the buildings, structures, and exhibits learning about life here in the 1800's. For this hike, I parked at the park office of adjacent French Creek State Park, and followed the beautiful Hopewell Lake through the last flashes of fall color on a crisp early November afternoon. I then wandered amongst the buildings at Hopewell, pondering what role in the operations there I may have played had I lived 200 years ago. Lumberjacks were needed to fell trees, colliers, to turn felled wood to charcoal, teamsters to transport materials, smiths to work the furnace and shape goods, clerks to sell food stuffs and commodities, farmers to grow food and on and on and on. Oh how easy we have things in life today! Hopewell is a treasure of Southeastern Pennsylvania, and part of a larger patchwork of protected forests, gamelands, parks, and conserved land collectively known as The Hopewell Big Woods, the largest swath of open space in this densely populated part of the state.

Midland, Pennsylvania | What Happened?

Midland, what happened here? This place is looking rough! This is a small borough located along the Ohio River in Beaver County, PA. The population is sitting around 2,418 and has been on a steady decline over the years (back in 1960 the population was around 6,400 and in year 2000 it was at 3,100). The decline from the industrial era has certainly impacted this place and you can see the remains of a rust belt pretty quickly as you can see in the video. Midland has a feeling of being far away from anything, and you wont find much to do here. The people however seemed to be very nice and at no point does it feel like a dangerous place, thats because its way below the national average in crime. Let's take a drive and check it out.

QUICK TRIP TO PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh Vlog

Pittsburgh is such a fun city with a gorgeous location, surrounded by high hills, two rivers, and woods galore. In the short time spent here, we checked out the Duquesne Incline, a historic funicular that takes you to a breath-taking view of the city; and Point State Park, a beautiful park with a fountain, confluence, and the historic site of Fort Pitt. Oh, and there were sandwiches too!

This travel vlog is a companion series to So Many Parks, So Little Time; a series where I document the many amusement parks I stop by this summer. Join me for some fun times, some great people, and of course the coasters. New videos every Tuesday and select Thursdays.
