Hiking Sörmlandsleden in Sweden near Stockholm (northern trail from start). One of the best hikes in Sweden.
Filmed in 60FPS high res 4K with GoPro Hero 8 Black and a Drone (DJI Mavic Mini 2).
The route of this famous Swedish signature trail starts in Björkhagen with a full trail length of 1000km split up into 62 sections. However only the 6 initial sections qualify as the “signature trail” and we hiked until section 4 in this video.

Autumn colors start to show in September and a great time for hiking trips. We hiked both on and off the Sörmlandsleden trail in the Paradiset Nature Reserve in Huddinge, just outside Stockholm, Sweden. Finding Blueberries, Lingonberries & mushrooms to take with us home!

Wonderful Spring in Mörbylånga Öland Sweden Spring 2022
Mörbylånga is a locality situated on the southern part of the island of Öland and is the seat of Mörbylånga Municipality, Kalmar County, Sweden.
Other settlements in southern Öland are Alby, the site of a Mesolithic settlement and Hulterstad.
The town also has some industrial activity
Filmed beautiful spring flowers in a beautiful town called ‘’Mörbylånga’’
In early march 2022. There were so many spring flowers coming out as the weather got warmer. Filmed spring flowers, crocus, snow bell and some other yellow flowers while they were still fresh. All these types of flowers do not stay long.

The underground network in Stockholm consists of over 100 stations and nearly 70 miles of track - but it's made famous by the artistic themes added to most of the stations. These additions include paintings, mosaics, statues & engravings created by over 100 different artists - giving the metro the name of 'the world's longest art gallery'.
After purchasing a ticket for no other reason than to explore this underground 'art gallery' I visited a few stations in the central downtown area and marvelled at the detail and care taken to create them - it was incredible to see!
Back at street level I walked over to Storkyrkan which translates to English as the Great Church and had a look around inside. I then headed over to a scenic point to the south of Gamla Stan called Monteliusvägen to check out the views over Stockholm. It was the perfect place to end my trip.

This video is from our trip a few days ago to the south tip of the island of Öland in Sweden. We went down to Ottenby, which is also a nature reserve. Inside the nature reserve is Sweden’s tallest Lighthouse called Långe Jan. This video includes scenes from the nature reserve, some Fallow deer, some birds and of course the lighthouse Långe Jan.
AREA PREHISTORY
The oldest known human settlement on the southern part of Oland is slightly to the north at Alby, dating to the mesolithic era and showing the presence of hunter-gatherers.[4] The village prehistory dates to the early Stone Age when settlers from the mainland migrated across the ice bridge connecting the island via the Kalmar Strait about 6000 to 7000 BCE.

OTTENBY
Ottenby (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈɔ̂tːɛnˌbyː]) is a town on the island of Öland, Sweden, located in Ås parish, Mörbylånga Municipality in Kalmar County. Ottenby is located just north of the southern tip of Öland, over three miles south of the area's main town, Mörbylånga.
Ottenby is the name of a mansion (see Ottenby kungsgård) and the nearby nature reserve, formerly a royal game reserve stocked with fallow deer, and King Charles X Gustav of Sweden built a drystone wall to confine the native deer. The reserve is situated at the southern edge of the Stora Alvaret, a unique limestone pavement ecosystem designated as a World Heritage Site comprising most of the southern half of the island of Öland. Ottenby offers diverse habitats including coastal marsh, marine, woodland and alvar. Nearest villages include Alby, Hulterstad, Gettlinge, and Triberga.
Ottenby's name is first mentioned in writing year in 1282. In the Middle Ages it comprised 19 gardens and belonged to Nydala Abbey in Småland. After the abbey's appropriation by Gustav Vasa in the 1520s the mansion became the site of a stud farm; from 1831 to 1892 it was a stud farm for the Swedish army, and later a business.
The main building was erected in 1804 and designed by court architect Carl Fredrik Sundevall. It is a whitewashed stone building with a hipped roof. In 1935 Ottenby demesne a national monument; the farm is owned by the National Property Board and farmed by the Wiström family.

LÅNGE JAN
Långe Jan (Tall John) is a Swedish lighthouse located at the south cape of Öland in the Baltic Sea, Sweden's second largest island. It is one of Sweden's most famous lighthouses along with Kullen, Vinga and Landsort, and also the tallest lighthouse in Sweden.
The lighthouse was built in 1785, probably by Russian prisoners of war. The tower was built of stone from an old chapel. Originally the light was an open fire, and the tower was unpainted. It was painted white in 1845, and the same year the tower's lantern was installed, to house a colza oil lamp. A couple of years later a black band was added to the tower..
The lighthouse remains in use and is remote-controlled by the Swedish Maritime Administration in Norrköping. During the summer season it is possible to climb the tower, for a small fee.

St. JOHANNES CHAPEL
At the medieval fishing village Kyrkhamn there was a chapel that you can now only see the remains of and a stone cross. The chapel was built in the latter part of the 13th century and is associated with herring fishing in the Baltic Sea. The visitors came from Gotland, Denmark and the northern German Hanseatic cities. Graves have been found both inside and outside the chapel. The chapel remained in the middle of the 17th century but is stated to be deserted in 1676. The stone from the chapel was used in the construction of the lighthouse Långe Jan during the 18th century. Roofless walls remained into the 1820s. The chapel is located within the Ottenby nature reserve.
The cross was erected in 1966 by “Ås hembygdsförening”.

The place is located in the middle of the circle, by the fountain. You can sit outside on a warm day
