Naturcenter Herstedhøje is Vestskoven's highest hill and perhaps biggest attraction. It is used for many different activities. Runners and cyclists lay their exercise route up the challenging hill. However, it is not only exercisers who benefit from the mound. Others use the stronger wind for kite flying, model gliding and paragliding. Most walk up the hill and enjoy the view of the countryside. The top of Herstedhøje is, 67 meters above sea level and therefore there is a magnificent view of the entire Vestegnen. On the horizon, the towers in Inner Copenhagen are clearly visible, and it is also possible to glimpse Stevns Klint and Roskilde Cathedral in clear weather.
The nature on Herstedhøje itself is also exciting, as it varies from bottom to top and from slope to slope. The difference in soil moisture, wind speed and solar radiation means that different plants and small animals live on different surfaces of the mound and at different heights. Another factor that has a great influence on nature on the mound is the sheep. During the summer, numerous flocks graze the mound, and the goal is for us to have them all year round. The sheep grazing helps to create a rich and varied natural content.
The construction of Herstedhøje was started in 1968, and the hill is built of approx. 3,000,000 m³ of land, rubble and concrete blocks that were discarded as construction waste.
Today, Herstedhøje functions as a large recreational nature area in Vestskoven.
Vestskoven was established in the late 1960s to provide easy access to recreational areas for the rapidly growing population of Copenhagen's western suburbs in accordance with the Finger Plan. The area was landscaped with artificial hills and lakes. The first trees were planted in 1967.

Stevns Klint is a white chalk cliff , Store Heddinge , Danish island of Zealand
Stevns Klint is a white chalk cliff located some 6 km (3.7 mi) southeast of Store Heddinge on the Danish island of Zealand. Stretching 17 km (11 mi) along the coast, it is of geological importance as one of the best exposed Cretaceous-Tertiary (K/T) boundaries in the world.[1] Subject to frequent erosion, the cliff rises to a height of up to 40 m (130 ft).[2]Beautiful places to travel to game :

Geology[edit]
The cliff reveals sections from the uppermost part of the Maastrichtian stage (72 to 66 million years ago) and from the lowermost part of the Danian stage (66 to 62 million years ago).[3] A black layer of fish clay, a few centimeters thick, containing iridium clearly marks the Cretaceous-Paleogene boundary.[2] The layers can also be seen deep in the tunnels of Stevnsfortet, a cold-war fortress constructed in 1953. The bryozoa chalk in the cliff is highly shock resistant to both conventional and nuclear weapons.[4]
Cold War museum[edit]
In 2008 Cold War Museum Stevns Fortress opened to the public. It features a large exhibition of military equipment and a 1.5-hour guided tour in the large underground system of the fortress. The underground system of the fortress features 1.6 kilometres (0.99 mi) of tunnels, living quarters and command centers, including a hospital and even a chapel. There are also two ammunition depots for its two 15 centimetres (5.9 in) cannons. The tunnels are 18–20 metres (59–66 ft) below the surface, dug deep into the chalk of Stevns. The top secret fortress was built in 1953 and remained operational until 2000.[5]

Old Højerup Church
The old Højerup Church (Højerup Gamle Kirke) which stands at the top of the cliff dates from the year 1200. As a result of erosion, a landslide in 1928 caused the chancel to collapse and fall to the shore below. The cliff can be accessed via steps from the church. A new church completed in 1913 is located 300 m (980 ft) back from the cliff.[6]
UNESCO listing[edit]
On 23 June 2014, it was announced that Stevns Klint and the Wadden Sea had been added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in Denmark.[7][8]

From Copenhagen central stations it's very convenient to head to the Airport with only 2 stops on the way and a couple more stops from the airport will take you to Malmo in Sweden.

I fremtiden vil gadebelysningen gå ned til 20%, når der ikke er bevægelse på vejen. Lyset omkring dig, når du kører i bil, cykler eller løber lyser op igen til 100%, når du passerer lysmasten.

Projektet hedder Doll, Gate 21 og er Verdens største laboratorium for intelligent gadebelysning som det er lykkedes at etablere i Albertslund Kommunen.
Aldrig før i verden er så mange internationale producenter af gadelamper gået sammen i et projekt med bl.a. DTU og Albertslund Kommune.
Igår startede projektet og ialt 8.000 nye lysmaster vil blive indkøbt at Albertslund Kommune i løbet af de næste 2 år.
Over 200.000 nye lygtepæle skal udskiftes i Danmark i de næste
4-5 år.
Københavns Kommune og andre har også set lyset og deltager nu i projektet om at opstille den rette intelligente gadebelysning.
Gadebelysning er idag skyld i 20% af CO2 udslippet

The project Doll & Gate 21 in Albertslund Municipal, close to Copenhagen, is the largest lab for intelligent streetlight in the world. Never before in the world has so many international producers of streetlights joined forces with technical research institutes and municipalities.
Albertslund will set up 8.000 intelligent lampposts within 2 years and all of Denmark will set up 200.000 lampposts within the next 4-5 years.
The streetlights of the western world will be changed within the next 10 years. Today 20% of all CO2 emissions comes from street lighting.
