Al-Namas Museum - Qasr Al-Namas Heritage is considered one of the best museums in the region, as it contains heritage and archaeological pieces, inscriptions and historical documents.
• The museum is located within the old quarter, and this neighborhood is considered an architectural masterpiece because it represents a model of architecture in this part of the region, as it was built for more than 250 years.
Al-Namas Museum receives hundreds of visitors every day from everywhere in the Kingdom and the Gulf states, especially in the summer season, as museum officials have worked to develop it and add some modern touches that increase the museum's value while at the same time telling about the region's heritage.
• The museum is considered one of the most wonderful and best museums in the Kingdom because of its rare and wonderful collections dating back to the antiquity, which increases its value and luxury, and at the same time the museum is characterized by high quality in construction and wonderful beauty, both at home and abroad. Although its construction dates back hundreds of years, it contains a group of wonderful creative designs, which tell about the lives of parents and grandparents, who excelled in designing old buildings and forts that protected them from many risk factors and still persists to this day.
Museum contents:
The museum consists of five floors, and it contains more than 2000 heritage and archaeological pieces, including most of the heritage pieces in the region.
The exhibition halls were distributed over the five floors of the building, as follows:
- The first floor: which includes the agricultural tools used by the people in the past. It also includes a model of the old well and methods of extracting water from it by traditional methods.
- The second floor: It contains a group of old household items that were also used by people in the old days, such as the telephone, iron and television.
- The third floor: which contains old weapons such as rifles and spears of all kinds, and also has antlers and deer, which were caught in the old days, and there is a section in this role for the types of Saudi and foreign paper and metal currencies.
- The fourth and fifth floors: They contain a large collection of women's jewelry and women's tools that were used in adornment, as well as all kinds of clothes, and a special corner with engraved stones dating back to the first century AH, in addition to old manuscripts and documents.
• In addition to displaying examples of rock writings inside the museum. As for the museum’s courtyard, examples of building methods with stones and methods of extracting water from the depths of the earth were displayed. Some Islamic writings on rocks and some traditional tools were added to it, and a model for furnaces that were used in the past.
