The Most Beautiful Place in Fiji? - Mamanuca Islands Boat Tour - Fiji Travel Guide
Part 2 of our Fiji Travel Adventure: Boat tour to the Mamanuca Islands with South Sea Sailing! Boy do they know how to throw a party! From Nadi, Fiji we boarded the cruise at Port Denarau and sailed near some of the Mamanuca Islands to Malolo Sand Bar. We think this was one of the best things do on a Fiji vacation! It was some of the best snorkeling in the world with the bluest water, included great food and service, and we enjoyed singing and dancing with the crew. Not to mention the waterslide and paddleboards - so fun! As far as tropical vacations go, it really doesn’t get better than this Fijian Paradise! Definitely one of the best places to go in Fiji if you are looking for fun in the sun!

If you’re headed to Hawaii, forget about Waikiki. If you’re looking for some rest & relaxation or if you prefer to get away from the crowds, stay & play on the North Shore of Oahu. The best hotel on the North Shore is the Turtle Bay Hilton, but many prefer to stay in the condos at Kuilima Est. located at Turtle Bay. Polynesian Cultural Center FULL TOUR | Oahu, Hawaii
Every village. Almost every activity. Plus the luau, movie, and the Ha: Breath of Life night show. We did everything at the Polynesian Cultural Center and shared our full experience with you so you can decide if it's worth the price. (Spoiler: it is.)
We spent our first day in the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) and ended up going back a second day because there is far too much to do in one day. Honestly, we think this is one of the best things to do in Oahu. We visited all six villages (representing the islands of Hawaii, Fiji, Samoa, Tahiti, Tonga, and Aotearoa - New Zealand). We also ate at the luau, watched the Imax movie and the night show, and learned how to play the ukulele for free. It's all included with admission and we wanted to do it all.

Ticket prices have increased substantially since we uploaded this video. If this is out of your price range now, here are some other great activities to do on Oahu:
First off, we were not sponsored for this video. We didn't even get a discount. We paid the full $120+ each for the Ali'i luau package (that was the price in 2018 when we went - it's currently $184 but gives you entry for three days instead of two). It was a lot of money and it took a lot of convincing for us to spend that much money. We wanted to make this video to show you everything that the PCC has to offer so you can decide if it's worth the money. For us, it was worth it without a doubt.
The most basic package (updated December 2022) is about $70. That doesn't include the luau and show or any food (you can eat at the marketplace in the center).

1. The Bouloupari Pass, Noumea: This spectacular site provides numerous diving options, from initiation dives to deep dives. Here you’ll see black pointer sharks, leopard sharks, stingrays, leopard rays, rocklings, and large shoals of pelagic marine life.
2. The Cathedral, Hienghene: This is a true forest of corals. This place, called Cathedral, sheltered by the Doïman reef, is one of the most beautiful diving spots in New Caledonia. At Cathedral, corals are intact and the depths impressive. For experienced divers, in the company of the Babou Côté Océan diving centre.
3. Green Island’s « Fausse Passe », Bourail: At the heart of a lagoon listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, just a few minutes by taxi-boat from the La Roche Percée and the Néra estuary, Green Island is a genuine jewel surrounded by the splendid double-barrier reef that is such a prominent feature of the region.
Green Island is a nature reserve belonging to the special marine reserve of Bourail. Known as one of the nesting places of the green sea turtle, the island is a perfect spot for diving.
4. The Gorgone Reef, Lifou: With its long, white sandy beaches and cliffs bathed in beautiful crystalline water, Lifou offers spectacular diving spots. A paradise of the depths, the Isle of Lifou is a beautiful window to underwater fauna and flora. Start with the “Gorgone Reef, an inimitable spot to the north of Santal Bay perfect for scuba diving. Turtles and leaf-fish, great white and leopard sharks glide between the archways of coral in the bay.

6. The Prony Needle, Great South: On the East Coast, several fringing reefs offer a rare setting for diving straight from the beach. But it is at Prony that divers can have the most incredible experience exploring a unique site, the Needle of Prony. Hot water from the depths of the earth flows out of this astounding underwater chimney, discovered in 1979. In prime times of the year, divers can watch the humpback whales who return to the bay to mate every year.
7. The Gorgones Valley, Isle of Pines: Diving is particularly interesting at Isle of Pines because of its diversity and unique sea bed including fantastic Gorgonias that can reach 3m wide!
8. The Devert Faults, Koumac: Dive sites in Koumac include deep walls, chimneys, tunnels and canyons filled with gorgonians and lobsters. Koumac is the only place in New Caledonia where I could dive as deep as 40 m. The barrier reefs is densely covered in colourful hard corals.
9: Tibarama Island, Poindimié: Home to corals, rare ribbon eels and more, this islet has been referred to by some as one of the most beautiful islands in the archipelago.
10. the Troisième Cave, Isle of Pines: There are numerous diving locations along the reef offering a constantly changing panorama of drop-offs, corridors, passages and sea grottos. There are over 15 dive sites, all around the breathtaking Bay of Gadji. The more experienced divers can venture down to the mysterious freshwater underground caves known as “Grotte de la Troisième”, reachable only by a narrow underwater corridor. Night dives in Isle of Pines are renowned for its mysterious atmosphere, with the sea snakes and loggerhead turtles.

10. Vanuatu's Volcanoes
Vanuatu is not on the average traveller's destination wish list. Head to the island of Tanna to see Mount Yasur, the world's most accessible active volcano. A tourist favourite, Tanna is also home to waterfalls and men in penis sheaths and grass skirts. If you get the chance, stay to witness one of their ancient festivals or rituals.

New Caledonia is a collectivity of France with a particular status, it has its own laws and its own government. New Caledonia offers beaches, mountaintop fondue in chalets, camping, amazing snorkeling and diving, and fabulous French food.
8. Indo-Fijian Culture
Fabulous festivals and food provide visitors with a peek into Indo-Fijian culture. Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is celebrated nationwide in October or November. It's ushered in with nightly displays, from multicoloured spotlit extravaganzas to delicate candlelit driveways and households.
7. Tahitian Dance & Tattoos
Tahitians love to dance. The best dance performances in the country take place at the annual Heiva Festival, which is held in Pape'ete in July. During the rest of the year, professional groups offer performances at the big resorts. Tattooing, another strong cultural trait, has enjoyed a revival since the early 1980s. For many people, it's a symbol of identity.

The South Pacific offers world-class diving, with an irresistible menu of underwater treasures: luscious reefs festooned with huge sea fans, warm waters teeming with rainbow-coloured species and bizarre critters, eerie drop-offs that tumble into the abyss, and lots of pelagics, including sharks and manta rays -- not to mention the thrill of diving uncrowded sites.
5. Easter Island's Moai
Easter Island is one of the most isolated islands on Earth. Officially a territory of Chile, it lies far off in the Pacific Ocean, roughly halfway to Tahiti. Known as one of the world's sacred sites, it is most famous for its enigmatic giant stone statues or Moai whose oversized heads, carved centuries ago, reflect the history of the dramatic rise and fall of the most isolated Polynesian culture.
4. Inland Treks
Most people travel to the South Pacific for the beaches but no one should go this far without heading inland. Imagine arriving to the tip of a knife-edged peak to watch seabirds fly by at eye level, plunging into massive waterfall pools, or finding petroglyphs hidden by hibiscus next to a rushing river. And these are everyday examples.
3. Whales in Tonga
Tonga is an important breeding ground for humpback whales, which migrate to its warm waters between June and October; it's one of the few places in the world where you can swim with these magnificent creatures. They can be seen raising their young in the calm reef-protected waters and engaging in elaborate mating rituals.

A garland of flowers is one of the most simple yet beautiful offerings on the planet and no one gives out more of these than the people of the Pacific. Loudness and brashness are out, subtle hospitality and genuine goodwill are in. If they could give you the moon they would, so please don't ask for it.

But the South Pacific isn't just a homogenised string of palm trees and blue water. The cultures and landscapes that spread across the Pacific Ocean's vastness hold an incredible diversity, from rugged atolls to mangrove-encircled high islands and from Euro-chic capitals to traditional tribes in jungles. The sand is pristine & the turquoise water filled with swimmers & surfers. You can join the fun by taking surf lessons, renting a stand up paddleboard, taking a dip in the warm pacific waters, or simply laying out under the tropical sun. Waikiki is also where many boats embark for scuba diving, fishing & whale watching adventures.

Take the Pineapple Express Train Tour through the plantation fields and walk through 8 mini gardens, each showing different plants native to Hawaii, including banana, Papaya & tropical flowers. You can even enjoy some pineapple ice cream while navigating the world’s largest pineapple maze.
10:58 Visit Pearl Harbor. The centerpiece is the USS Arizona Memorial commemorating the sunken battleship and the 1,177 sailors and Marines who perished during the Japanese attack. The USS Missouri Memorial is the mighty battleship where the Japanese surrender ceremony took place, ending World War II. Here you can take tours and see exhibits showcasing the ship's history and significance.
You can also explore the USS Bowfin, a World War II submarine, and learn about the history submarine warfare and the experiences of submariners.
