It is the Alps that fascinates most of the visitors but also the very well preserved villages. Although Switzerland is quite small, depending on the region, the villages and towns may look very different. In this video, the 10 most beautiful villages from allover the country will be presented in detail. While there may be a few that you might have heard of, there will be quite some surprises. Gruyères is THE place to experience the medieval vibes in Switzerland. The castle, the museums and furthermore the foodie world of Gruyères are really exciting to experience, do not forget to try fondue, Gruyère cheese and double cream! Zermatt is the most popular village on this list. Visit the many panoramas over the Swiss Alps, see the Matterhorn or simply explore the village of Zermatt itself! Discover the many beautiful traditional wooden houses scattered around this Swiss village! Visit what used to be the smallest municipality of Switzerland: Corippo. Corippo is located in the Valle Verzasca in Ticino. It's a wonderful village full of stone houses and very interesting: ONLY 12 people live in there! Surely, it's not crowded there. Saint-Ursanne is another medieval village; the town that could be in a fairytale. Saint-Ursanne is built along the river doubs and charms with its many medieval houses and wonderful abbey. Guarda - the town of Schellenursli - in the lower Engadin is located in the Rumantsch speaking region of Switzerland. It's far away the urban centres and very quiet. Best to visit during Summer or on Chalandamarz! Grimentz is THE stereotypical village of Switzerland. It's located up in the Swiss Alps and charms with its many traditional wooden houses. The houses are all decorated with red flowers; cheesy and alluring! Lauterbrunnen is another touristy favorite. The village is small but it's located in the Valley of 72 Waterfalls! Enjoy the scenery with its many waterfalls and greens! Do not forget to go up to Wengen and the Jungfraujoch! Epesses is located in Switzerland's wine region at lake Geneva! It's a wonderful village in the middle of the vineyards and definitely offers you enough viewpoints over the wine terraces, lake Geneva and the Swiss Alps. Stein am Rhein is also a very medieval and cultural village. The old town is perfectly preserved and charms with its many painted houses. Spectacular is the No e Wili play that is held on a 10-25 years base. Enjoy swimming in the river Rhine or dining at the Castle Hohenklingen. MORCOTE is the most beautiful Swiss village on this Top 10 list! It's located at Lake Lugano and charms with its appearance of being built at the hill. Stunning is the church Maria del Sasso, the wonder garden in the Parco Scherrer and furthermore the many viewpoints on the hill. Morcote is by the way considered not very touristy. I proudly present you the Top 10 most beautiful waterfalls of Switzerland: As a landlocked country, there may be no dreamy beaches in Switzerland, but with Alps, this country hosts some of the most beautiful landscapes. Switzerland is often considered the reservoir of Europe, as there are many glaciers from which the rivers originate. Each of them gets fed with water from the many creeks present in the Swiss Alps. The water sometimes has to quite find its way to reach the next larger river, it needs to pass gorges, forests or drops from the rocks down into the valleys. Where can you find the many waterfalls of Switzerland? There are countless of them, plenty in the wonderful Bernese Oberland (Berner Oberland), around lake Brienz, in the many valleys, such as in the Simmental and of course in the Lauterbrunnen valley. In only that valley, there are 72 waterfalls! Among these 72 waterfalls you may find the Staubbach Falls of Lauterbrunnen, which are considered an Instagram wonder of Switzerland. They are one of the most photographed subjects. But there are 71 more waterfalls in the Lauterbrunnen valley to explore: Mürrenbachfalls, Mattenbachfalls, Trümmelbachfalls and many more! Fascinating! Other wonderful waterfalls are scattered all around Switzerland, central Switzerland, canton Uri, Ticino and northern Switzerland, where the world famous Rheinfall (Rhinefalls) are located. Weekend in Zürich | Top attractions in Zürich Switzerland, Jucker Farm, Uster
We visited Zürich over a weekend in Autumn - checked out some famous sightseeing spots in the city, and enjoyed some beautiful nature on the city's outskirts.
We had a stroll in Zürich's old town, saw the Zürich Lake, the Opera house, the famous landmarks Grossmünster and Fraumünster Church, and oversaw the view of Zürich from Lindenhof and Polyterrasse. We also spent some time in the town of Uster, and visited the Jucker Farm during the Pumpkin season! The weather was sometimes better and sometimes worse, but it was a fun and beautiful weekend after all!

Aeschi bei Spiez | The Village at the foot of the Alps - Switzerland ????????
Aeschi bei Spiez is a municipality in the Frutigen-Niedersimmental administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland.
Aeschi bei Spiez is first mentioned in 1228 as Asshes. In 1269 it was mentioned as (villa) Esche..[3]
The earliest traces of settlements in the area include scattered La Tene era graves and individual prehistoric tools. During the Middle Ages, it was part of the Herrschaft of Mülenen, under the Lords of Kien. The Herrschaft then passed through several other nobles, including the Wädenswil and Turn families. By the 13th century, Aeschi was the center of a large parish. The Romanesque parish church of St. Peter was first mentioned in 1228. The frescoes in the church were painted in the 14th century. In 1352, the city of Bern acquired the village land, while the low court rights remained with other noble families. Under Bernese rule, the village was initially part of the district of Mülenen. In the 15th and 16th centuries, it became part of Frutigen. The town charter was first documented in 1469.[3]
In 1528, Bern forced the villagers to adopt the Protestant Reformation. In the following year, the parish was split and the village of Reichenbach became an independent parish.[3]
During the 19th century the economy stagnated and the village population began to decrease. The rise of tourism the late 19th century allowed the population to begin to grow once again. In 1855, the Bad Heustrich medical spa opened in Aeschi. It soon grew into a well known resort and tourist destination. In 1901 the Lötschberg railroad allowed an increasing number of tourists to visit the village. A rail station opened in Mülenen in 1906. In the late 1960s the municipality experienced a building boom as the population grew and as demand for vacation homes rose. By 1990 almost two-thirds of the population worked in the services industry.

STÄUBEN FALLS - Hike to Huge Waterfall near Lucerne
How to reach the gorgeous Stäuben waterfall near Lucerne Switzerland. We rode a cable car up to the alpine pastures above the falls. Then hiked across the mountain and down river to reach the base of the falls.

Das sind ca. 3km und 250 Höhenmeter immer schön mit dem Rauschen der Vorder Schächen im Ohr, die unter anderem auch vom Stäubifall bei Aesch gespiesen wird.
Obwohl wir zügig gelaufen sind, haben wir es nicht mehr vor der Mittagspause auf die Aesch-Oberalp Bahn geschafft. Wer rechnet schon damit, dass im Schächental die Mittagspause um 20zig vor 12:00 beginnt! ???? Auch das Gasthöfli Aesch, so heisst das Beizli bei der Talstation, ist nur samstags und sonntags geöffnet. Also hiess es mal eine halbe Stunde warten, was kein Problem ist bei der abwechslungsreichen Aussicht auf den Stäubifall und die Berge. Auch kann man sich in Ruhe seelisch auf die Fahrt mit der Seilbahn, wenn man dieses Gefährt so nennen kann, vorbereiten.
Und dann geht sie los, die Freiluft-Fahrt mit Aussicht!
Erstaunlich gemütlich und bequem geht es hoch zur Oberalp und die Aussicht ist wirklich ein Erlebnis.
Um die spannende Bahnfahrt zu resümieren, gibt es auf der Oberalp eine gemütliche Einkehrmöglichkeit. Diese haben wir aber ausgelassen, weil wir ja schon eine «Zwangspause» hinter uns hatten. ????
Von der Oberalp geht es gemütlich Richtung Wäspenseeli. Mässig steil führt ein Feldweg bis auf eine Alp. Von da an wir es alpiner und ganz nach unserem Geschmack. Von einer wundervollen Aussicht, Kuhglocken und den dazugehörigen Kühen begleitet, steigen wir hoch zum Wäspenseeli.
Nachdem wir uns die Spiegelung der Berge im Wäspenseeli ausgiebig angeschaut haben, gings es weiter Richtung Wannelen. Von nun an teilweise steil, teilweise mässig, aber immer Bergab.
Auch in Wannelen hat es wieder ein gemütliches «Beizli» und diesmal kann mich keiner überreden, daran vorbeizugehen. Nach einem Möstli ???? und einem Plättli feinstem Bergkäse ???? verschiedener Sorten ging’s Richtung Bahn, aber nicht ohne vorher noch etwas Bergkäse von der freundlichen Gastgebering für zu Hause in den Rucksack zu packen!
Von nun an ging es steil Bergab. Mit der Bergbahn Wannelen-Ribi waren wir in knapp 10 Minuten im Tal und machten uns, nach einem weiteren erlebnisreichen Tag in den Bergen, gemütlich auf die Heimfahrt.

Tasting Swiss Chocolate at the ChocoWelt - Aeschbach Chocolatier (Switzerland)
Do you like chocolate? I love it. Well, every member of my family loves it. When my in-laws came to visit us in September, my boys and I wanted to give them Swiss chocolate experience. We've visited ChocoWelt of small Swiss Chocolate manufacturer Aeschbach Chocolatier in Root, a small village between Lucerne and Zug.
This was not our first visit of a chocolate museum/ chocolate factory. We've already visited few of them (you can see our tour of Lindt Home of Chocolate here: ) , but we still enjoyed refreshing our knowledge of how is chocolate made in a lovely small exhibition. We also loved all the tasting spots where we sampled many different types of chocolate produced by the Aeschbach Chocolatier. I highly recommend the chocolate fountains!
One of the best thing about the Aeschbach Chocolatier is, you can make your own chocolate bar as part of visit. We did it and it was super fun and delicious experience. My in-laws, my boy and I enjoyed making our own chocolate bars a lot.
The whole visit was a huge success with our visitors. We had a blast. If you're sweet-tooth like us, I can assure you, you'll enjoy the visit immensely.

Epic hike along cliffs in eastern Switzerland
Come along on our challenging, epic and somewhat dangerous mountain hike at Braunwald Bützi Alp in eastern Switzerland. We walk along the edge of cliffs and descend a super steep 1 km with safety cables. Maybe the best hike for our family in 2020!

Most Beautiful Peninsula in Switzerland | Open Days 2022 in Buonas Castle
There are usually two open days in Buonas Castle a year: during Rhododendron Blossom in May and in November at Sam Fuin, celtic summerturn festival.
It was closed from the public in the past two years due to Covid, but this year at 7th and 14th of May there were two open days in the park, so we managed to visit it on the 14th in the afternoon and create this virtual walking for You.
The park consists of beautiful meadows, small forests, japanese house, beautiful trees like in an arboretum, medieval small Buonas castle with historic farm houses, vegetable garden for the castle, rhododendron garden with country house and a small pond with brasilian giant-rhubarbs/mammut-leaves.
There was in the 19th-20th century an amazing english style castle called Neues Schloss Buonas in the rhododendron garden in the place of the country house(on the thumbnail), built by the plans of an english architect, owner was a rich swiss industrialist.
Unfortunately it was demolished in 1970 because it wasn't comfortable and modern enough for the owner, it took too much money to maintain.
The old castle that is still visible in this video was built around 1070 by the knights of Buonas and had a moat in the place of the garden.
Today the owner of the peninsula is the Roche pharmaceutical company, who makes workshops and events in the castle and in the modern building at the entrance.
