PT// Apesar de um dia bastante chuvoso, isso não nos impediu de realizar um passeio pelo encantador centro histórico de Abrantes. Exploramos o pitoresco Jardim e os arredores do majestoso Castelo, percorrendo as estreitas ruas e praças, onde nos deparamos com diversos edifícios de grande relevância, como a imponente Igreja de São Vicente e a elegante Câmara Municipal. A chuva acrescentou um certo charme à atmosfera, realçando as cores das fachadas e criando reflexos nas ruas de pedra.
EN// Despite a rather rainy day, it did not stop us from taking a stroll through the charming historic center of Abrantes. We explored the picturesque Jardim and the surroundings of the majestic Castle, walking along narrow streets and squares, where we encountered several buildings of great significance, such as the imposing Church of São Vicente and the elegant Town Hall. The rain added a certain charm to the atmosphere, enhancing the colors of the facades and creating reflections on the stone streets.

Manuel I. Em 1807, foi tomada pelo general francês Junot no decorrer das Invasões Francesas. Junot recebeu o título de Duque de Abrantes. Abrantes foi elevada à categoria de cidade em 1916. O nome Abrantes virá do latim Aurantes (ao que parece na região haveria muito ouro).Abrantes, também conhecida por Cidade Florida, ergue-se numa colina na margem do Tejo, proporciona aos visitantes passeios por ruas sinuosas, a descoberta de monumentos e ainda desfrutar de paisagens únicas.
