Šabac Fortress, Serbia
Šabac fortress (Serbian: Шабачка тврђава), also known as Bigir Delen in Turkish, is a fortress next to modern day Šabac, on the right riverbank of Sava.
The fortress was built in 1471 by Isa-Beg Ishaković, but soon afterwards, in 1476, it was conquered by the Hungarian army helped by Serbian despot Vuk Grgurević, who kept the Šabac fortress under his control for more than four decades. In 1521, on his campaign on the way to Belgrade, Suleiman the Magnificent conquered Šabac. As soon as he got hold of it, he had the earth palisade fortifications replaced with bulwark constructions with towers. In the period from 1717 until 1739, during temporary Austrian occupation, the fortress underwent significant adaptations and its surface was extended with additional construction of outer fortifications.

???????? ČAČAK, SERBIA - This is Part 2 of my 2022 Serbia Travel series! This is my 5th visit to Serbia (I was first here in 2019). Two of my trips were heavily impacted by the pandemic, but in 2021 I managed to explore quite extensively, visiting outstanding locations such as Kruševac, Subotica, Kragujevac, Bajina Bašta and more!
This time, I’m once again based in one of my favourites - Užice. Today we’re visiting the city of Čačak, an unexpectedly awesome city no one seems to visit! It’s not far from the last video’s location, Ovčar Banja and the Ovčarsko Kablarska Klisura (Ovčar Kablar Gorge), with its amazing scenery and Serbian Orthadox monasteries!
Čačak doesn’t appear to be one of the common places to visit in Serbia, or a place with much in terms of Serbia Tourism, but we’re about to change that! There are beautiful churches, awesome architecture, and great Serbian food, just as in any other city!

NIS SERBIA | Full City Guide with Top 10 Highlights - Србија
Hi everybody and welcome to Niš Serbia. In this Serbia travel video I'm going to take you through this beautiful city in Europe which still not on major tourist maps. Niš (Ниш in cyrillic) is a pretty town in Southeastern Europe and is located in the South of Serbia, or Србија as the Serbs call it, and is a very historical place in Europe. It's one of the best places in Serbia for authentic local Serbian food and one of the most beautiful places in Serbia, surrounded by green hills which provide some amazing views across the city. What I like best in Serbia is that there is so much to discover wherever you go in this beautiful country in Europe. This trip was my first time in Serbia and I learned so much about the rich and often difficult and complex history of Serbia. Niš is a great city to visit if you want to get history in Southeastern Europe, although some of the sites are shocking, and very thought-provoking as you will see in this video. I hope this Serbia video on Niš will give you some inspiration if you plan your next travel to beautiful Serbia. As I have mentioned in my previous videos on Serbia, Serbia is one of the more affordable countries in Europe. So if you're interested in cities to see in Europe that are affordable places to visit Niš is a perfect place to visit in Europe. I will take you on a tour through my top 10 of the best things to do in the city, with a visit to the old fortress, a tower made of real human skulls, a Nazi concentration camp that feels like it was abandoned just yesterday and an impressive great Second World War memorial. And of course we will talk about Serbian food.

In this video, I share my travel experience in Serbia which is my country #65 in my quest to visit all 193 UN-recognized countries around the world. Serbia is a deceiving country at first glance. When I first entered Serbia, it appeared beat up and miserable looking. And so, I only planned on staying in Serbia for one night, then leaving to go to my next travel destination. What I love about travel is pleasant surprises and Serbia is beyond pleasant surprises, it's an awesome surprise. The locals in Serbia is the FRIENDLIEST people I have ever met during my travels in Europe. The amount of kindness and friendliness I experienced in Serbia from locals living there is eye opening. Despite only travelling in Serbia for one day, this is a country that I am guaranteed to visit again in the future.

Sabac is a very chill city and the vibes were absolutely perfect. Located right on the Sava River, this city makes for an awesome time to visit during both the summer and winter months. You must visit Sabac when in Serbia, as the city as a whole has a different feel to it than any other that I've visited so far.
