Taste of Mexico City: The Ultimate Guide to the Best Restaurants and Street Food Spots - 2023

Discover the Ultimate Food Guide to Mexico City in 2023 with our two-week food adventure! As one of the world's biggest cities with close to 22 million people, it's no surprise that Mexico City is considered one of the food capitals of the world. Our video takes you on a culinary journey to some of the best restaurants, taquerias, and street food stands in Mexico City, including hidden gems that you won't find in other YouTube videos.

If you're a taco lover, you'll find nothing but the best in Mexico City, particularly the world-renowned Tacos al Pastor. In the video, we showcase some of the top places specializing in this delicacy, with our favorite being El Vilsito, a taqueria that turns into an auto body shop by day.

Our list of the top five taquerias and street food stands in Mexico City includes El Pescadito, Jenni's Street Quesadillas, Los Cocuyos, Taqueria El Torito, and La Esquina Del Chilaquil. For sit-down meals, we highly recommend Nico's, Contramar, Choza, Rosetta, and Lardo. These restaurants offer great food, perfect ambiance, and are even baby-friendly, as we experienced during our trip.

Besides food, our video takes you on a tour of Xochimilco to ride the trajineras and explore the ancient canals with some friends. If you're looking for a place to stay, Condesa or Roma Norte is the perfect place for you, filled with tree-lined streets and a wide variety of food stalls, coffee shops, and restaurants.

(Wikipedia)

???????? FOREIGNER in CIUDAD OBREGÓN, Sonora | Is This RICH MEXICO? | AMAZING Coyotas & HOT DOGS!

???????? CIUDAD OBREGÓN, SONORA - Welcome to Episode 13 of my 2022 Mexico Travel series, this time once again coming from the northern Mexican state of Sonora, in the city, Ciudad Obregón! I’m a foreigner in Mexico originally from the UK and have been travelling full-time for 6 years, including traveling Mexico, I think 7 times now! I love northern states such as Sinaloa, Chihuahua, and Durango - they have just as much worth as Guanajuato and Jalisco - the same is true for Sonora!

Is this RICH Mexico? Sonora is supposedly the 5th wealthiest state in Mexico (depending on sources). In the last video we had a 4K Walkaround in downtown Ciudad Obregon, but this time we go further afield, exploring La Laguna del Nainari, the northern part of the city (hello Beverly Hills), the modernist Catedral Sagrado Corazon (Sacred Heart), Mercado Municipal, have some AMAZING Coyotas (like a cookie/empanada) filled with piloncillo, and yes, a HOT DOG (the best in Mexico) - the Mexican food (comida Mexicana) is NEXT-LEVEL including carne asada and more, as well as a famous Sonora drink, BACANORA (featured in future videos).

International tourism isn’t big in Ciudad Obregón. Why? Because of the whole, 'is Mexico safe?' garbage? Is it not deserving of attention just because it doesn’t have colonial history or architecture? What is ‘Mexican’ by definition? The answer isn’t as simple as you may think.

If you’re looking for things to do in Ciudad Obregón, if you’re planning a Mexico trip, thinking of becoming an expat or moving to Mexico, considering states other than the central ones should be something to think about!

???????? CÓCORIT & ESPERANZA, SONORA | Mexico's Most PEACEFUL Pueblitos? | Ciudad OBREGÓN | Mexico Travel

???????? CÓCORIT & ESPERANZA, SONORA - For Part 14 of my 2022 Mexico Travel Series we are still based in Ciudad Obregón in the state of Sonora in Northern Mexico, but this time we’re heading out of the town to one of the local Yaqui towns (an indigenous people in Mexico) called Cócocit as well as it’s neighbour, the pretty regular town of Esperanza. Are these two of Mexico’s most peaceful small towns? (pueblitos)

Cócocit has history in relation to the Yaqui, an indigenous group stretching all the way up to Arizona. They do a deer dance symbolising the relationship between nature and people. I went on a Monday afternoon (purposely) when it was extremely quiet, obviously going at the weekend would have been better if I had wanted to see people or go to the museum. Despite that, I cover some of the things to do in Cócorit.

We have some classic comida Mexicana (Mexican food) - Obispos, a cross between nieves and raspados. We also get a sense of what small towns in Mexico are like!

If you’re thinking of becoming an expat in Mexico or moving to Mexico, northern Mexico is an option! Don’t just think Guanajuato is your only option! Is Mexico safe? Is Mexico dangerous? Nowhere is safe!

The metro and Metrobus in Mexico City is a great way to beat the traffic too in mexico city. The Metrobus system in Mexico City is something truely special. Also known as the MetroBus CDMX is a unique bus that runs the same way a metro does underground. One of the best ways to beat the traffic in Mexico City, is the MetroBus CDMX. A bus system that runs like a metro or tram. In its own lane, allowing it to beat much of the traffic you find in Mexico City. It’s very important for Mexico City to have very efficiently run transit system. It’s key to keeping commuters moving at a smooth and rapid pace. The underground metro system alone servers on average 5 million passengers a day. The Metrobus being modeled after a underground metro helps to efficiently move hundreds of thidsbds of passengers above ground in a similar fashion to that of the metro. The MetroBus in Mexico City is really a great and efficient public transportation system and one of the best ways to beat the traffic in such a busy city like Mexico City.

It's super affordable to get around the city and it's an often missed travel destination as other tourists flock to Mexico's beaches. Mexico City is really known for its delicious street food you won't want to miss out on from classic tacos to tortas de chilaquiles. If you only have one day in such a large city like Mexico City you may be wondering where to start. The city is full of great activities like the historic city center and Chapultepec park and incredible food like pozole. During 2020 with COVID restrictions some things were closed, but there is still plenty to see and do and of course most importantly eat!
