One of the most visited attractions in Singapore by tourists and even locals is Singapore Zoo.
We saw variety of wildlife including different kinds of monkeys, Manatee, tropical fish, Panda, Red Panda, Jaguar, Crocodile…

Singapore Zoo’s River Safari is the first and only river-themed wildlife park in Asia.
One thing we really loved about the River Safari was the nature surrounding- the river and the forest.
They did an incredible job to create this environment where visitors would feel as if they were actually exploring a jungle!

We start our day at River Wonders right when it opens. We are hoping to see the new baby giant panda, LeLe, and are excited to find out the Amazon River Quest is included with our ParkHopper pass! Unfortunately the other river water ride is closed due to you-know-what.
After River Wonders, we head to the main Singapore Zoo - one of the best in the world! We've previously visited San Diego's zoos (which are amazing and also highly rated), so our expectations are pretty high. The monkey enclosures at Singapore Zoo and River Wonders are an open habitat, where you walk trails through where the monkeys live - giving you an up close and personal experience with them! Maybe too personal...
Because we're short on time, we eat at the Flavors of Penang complex that's immediately outside of the Night Safari. It was absolutely delicious. Night Safari was amazing! We travel with a number of recording devices, but none due well when it's black night out, so our videos at this point take a slightly grainy turn. Night Safari was our favorite park because it's unique and we've never experienced anything like it!

Spot These Animals
Be enthralled by the sights and sounds of animals hailing from one of the most diverse rainforest habitats in the world!
Brazilian Tapir
Almost always found near water, this species of tapir is fast on land – and even faster in the water. Its multipurpose snout doubles up as a snorkel, helping the animal to stay submerged for hours.
Jaguar
In Amazon River Quest, be transported into a dark cave where you’ll get to encounter a spotted predator in the form of the jaguar. This stealthy cat is an excellent swimmer and is perfectly capable of carrying large prey even while swimming.
Giant Anteater
With its distinct narrow head, bushy tail and long snout, it's almost impossible to miss the giant anteater. As it shuffles around searching for food, the giant anteater uses its long and narrow tongue to lap up ants and termites from ant mounds.

Amazon river quest river safari boat ride is one of the best or top tourist attractions in Singapore, connected to Singapore Zoo. We went for this trip as a part of our family day trip to other attractions including Singapore Bird Park and Night Safari. This was thrilling ride for the whole family and my daughter enjoyed it the most. You can see various animals and birds on the ride including jaguar, monkeys and flamingoes . The River Safari is a river-themed zoo and aquarium located in Singapore. It is built over 12 hectares (30 acres) and nestled between its two counterparts, the Singapore Zoo and the Night Safari, Singapore. It is the first of its kind in Asia and features freshwater exhibits and a river boat ride as its main highlights. The safari was built at a cost of S$160m, with an expected visitor rate of 820,000 people yearly.
The Giant Panda Forest was opened to the public on 29 November 2012, with a soft opening on 3 April 2013, attracting close to 1,500 visitors. This attraction is the fourth zoo in Singapore, along with the Singapore Zoo, Jurong Bird Park, and Night Safari, all of which are managed by Wildlife Reserves Singapore. The park was officially opened on 28 February 2014, and it was announced that more than 1.1 million have visited the River Safari since its soft opening in April 2013.

Note: Amazon River Quest will be closed from 13 Sep-27 Sep 2021 due to annual maintenance.
Children who are 1.06m and taller are welcome to embark on Amazon River Quest. A child swap procedure is in place such that a supervising adult and the child can wait while the others go on the boat ride. The supervising adult can board the boat once the others return. Rain’s no fun. For this reason, we may suspend Amazon River Quest if the weather affects our visitors’ safety and comfort. Please note that ride tickets will not be replaced in the event of ride suspensions, and admission tickets sold can’t be refunded.n the wild, it's natural for animals to blend into their surroundings and hide in plain sight. So, don't be surprised if animals along the Amazon River Quest boat ride camouflage themselves or hide behind boulders and vegetation.

We've been visiting the River Safari and taken the Amazon River Quest ride countless times. Since River Safari has been rebranded as Mandai River Wonders recently, this is our first time visiting the rebranded River Wonders.
