From my previous video on Ong Ang Walking Street, I claimed that some of the residential buildings looked like slums until I saw on the comments telling me to venture into Bangkok's Largest Slum, the Khlong Toey Slum, located south of the expressway and north of the port, is the largest and oldest slum of Bangkok. It houses over 100,000 residents on about one square mile of land owned by the Port Authority.

I walk in Khlong Toey market, is big wet market in Bangkok of Thailand. Khlong Toey market is located near the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre MRT station. This market sell a variety of raw meat, seafoods, farm product, seasonal fresh fruits, vegetables and much more. Becareful when walking in the market because the walkway is alway wet. This is the wet market atmosphere in Bangkok.

■ INTRODUCTION:
Nana is an intersection and neighborhood at the beginning of Sukhumvit Road (Highway 3) in Khlong Toei Subdistrict, Khlong Toei District, downtown Bangkok. Its name is derived from the surname of Lek Nana, a former Thai-Indian politician and real estate entrepreneur, who has been alias Bangkok landlord because he owned many lands in this area and was the first entrepreneur to invest here since the 1970s.
The area near the Nana. It's the location of Nana BTS station, which is located next to Soi Sukhumvit 7. And in the surrounding area is also the location of the leading hotels and condominiums. It is also home to a large number of shopping centers, restaurants, pubs, bars. Including also a residence of foreigners in a wide range of nationalities and religions.
About Soi
Soi is the term used in Thailand for a side-street branching off a major street. Sois are usually numbered and are referred to by the name of the major street and the number, as in Soi Sukhumvit 4, Sukhumvit Soi 4, or Sukhumvit 4, all referring to the fourth soi of Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok.

Khlong Toei Market (also Klong Toey Market, Thai: คลองเตย) is Bangkok's biggest fresh market. It is located on Rama IV Road near the Khlong Toei and Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre MRT stations in the Khlong Toei neighborhood. The market offers low prices on raw meat, seafood, farm produce, and a few other items (clothing, kitchenware, etc.) and is open daily from 6.00 am – 2.00 am. In January 2010 CNN listed it as one of the most authentic markets in Bangkok as well as a place to avoid when hung over.

Must becareful because the market floor is very wet and slippery.

I am always looking for culture. I thought that I would be able to find some culture in the Khlong Toei Slum - mainly because so few tourists enter, therefore, it has very little western impact.
I decided to go on my own. Simply walk around and sight-see. I didn't expect to have so much interaction with the locals..It was a truly fun experience.
Yes, I had WAY too much to drink. And yes, drinking too much in areas like this makes me a vulnerable target. And yes, I feel awkward posting it. But, oh well. ????
Can places like the Khlong Toei slum be dangerous, absolutely. Does this video capture the 'essence' of the slum? Probably not. But, I chose to ignore all warnings and choose to believe that most people are kind-hearted people. This video supports this logic.
