Gibraltar is undoubtedly one of the most original places on the tourist map of Europe. It is situated at one end of the Strait of Gibraltar, which separates Africa and Europe, and the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
Gibraltar is famous primarily for the runway cut by the pedestrian crossing and the rock inhabited by monkeys. The animals are great, they allow themselves to be petted and are generally friendly unless they feel the food - then they try to rob the tourists.

Gibraltar is an Overseas Territory of the United Kingdom. This means it shares the British Queen and has the protection of the British Armed Forces. It is in southwest Europe on the Mediterranean Sea. About 32,000 people live there. They are called Gibraltarians.
Gibraltar has always been important as a military base because this is where the Mediterranean Sea narrows to only 14 kilometres (9 miles) at the Strait of Gibraltar. This meant that whichever country controlled Gibraltar could see all ships that came into the Mediterranean Sea.

Gibraltar 4K
Gibraltar is a British crown colony with about thirty thousand inhabitants. There is a completely unique world on just six and a half square kilometers, where the locals will surprise you with their Spanish cordiality and British courtesy. A wonderful and romantic experience is sitting on one of Gibraltar's many viewpoints at dusk while looking at the luminous African coast. John Lennon also appreciated the romance of the place and ended the golden sixties with a wedding with Yoko Ono in Gibraltar.

This video was recorded on 2/9/2020 at Gibraltar in England. I was Walking around the Main Street in Gibraltar with no edit video ( ASMR ). Gibraltar is a small and beautiful city. Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory and headland, on Spain's south coast. It’s dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar, a 426m-high limestone ridge. First settled by the Moors in the Middle Ages and later ruled by Spain, the outpost was ceded to the British in 1713. Layers of fortifications include the remains of a 14th-century Moorish Castle and the 18th century Great Siege Tunnels, which were expanded in WWII.

Rock of Gibraltar, Gibraltar Old Town - HD Ambient Walk
This HD walking tour from 2018 begins at the top of The Rock of Gibraltar with the rock apes featuring prominently at the start of the tour. At one stage there was a bit of a squabble and I had to get myself out of there in a hurry. The monkeys like to jump on tourists if they think you have food, but they don't just attack people for no god reason. That said I wasn't keen to get caught in the middle of a monkey fight.
I caught the cable car to the top of The Rock and walked down, and the second half of the walking tour is a stroll through the Old Town, mostly along the Main Street and into Casemates Square, and then back down Main Street.
The weather was nice and it's great to look back on memories of my time in Gibraltar.

We start the tour in Casements Square and walk in to Gibraltar town centre towards Main Street, We the pass through Grand Casements Gates and cross the street to explore Ocean Village - The famous marina and site of many bars, restaurants and coffee shops. from there we explore the rock of Gibraltar and it's many attractions including :-

Main Street Walking district in Gibraltar. Walking Tour. - Gibraltar UK - ECTV
Main Street (Spanish: Calle Real) is the main arterial street in the British overseas territory of Gibraltar.
Main Street's route was established in the 14th century which was confirmed when the Puerta de África (now called the Southport Gates) were built in 1575, during the Spanish period.
Nearly every building in Main Street was damaged during the Great Siege of Gibraltar when from 1779 to 1783 the town was attacked by a combined French and Spanish fleet. Because Main Street was near the harbour it was easily bombarded by the ships in the harbour. Col. John Drinkwater wrote that some few, near South-port, continued to be inhabited by soldiers families, but in general the floors and roofs were destroyed and the bare shell only was left standing.[1]
The street's route has only had minor adjustment when the front of the Cathedral of St. Mary the Crowned was re-modeled and downsized in 1801 in order to straighten the street on the orders of the British Governor, Charles O'Hara.[2] A branch of Marks & Spencer was established in Gibraltar on the street in 1968.
Main Street is Gibraltar's main commercial and shopping district.[3] It runs north–south through the old town which is pedestrianised and lined with buildings displaying a blend of Genoese, Portuguese, Andalusian, Moorish and British Regency styles,[3] most of which have shops on the ground floor. Upper floors provide residential accommodation or offices. Tourists and visitors will find a wide variety of shops, many of which will be familiar from British high streets.
Irish Town is a street name and one of Main Street's sub-districts and was named in the early 19th century when Gibraltar was split into differing quarters.[3]
Gibraltar's town centre is largely protected by the Gibraltar Heritage Trust and is part of a continual restoration programme.[3]

This video was recorded on 11/1/2022 at Gibraltar in England. I was Walking around the Main Street in Gibraltar with no edit video ( ASMR ). Gibraltar is a small and beautiful city. Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory and headland, on Spain's south coast. It’s dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar, a 426m-high limestone ridge. First settled by the Moors in the Middle Ages and later ruled by Spain, the outpost was ceded to the British in 1713. Layers of fortifications include the remains of a 14th-century Moorish Castle and the 18th century Great Siege Tunnels, which were expanded in WWII.

Gibraltar (in English: Gibraltar, AFI: [dʒɨˈbɹɒːɫ̩tʲə]) is a British overseas territory located on a small peninsula at the southern end of the Iberian peninsula, bordering on land with Spain, a country that claims its sovereignty. For the United Nations, Gibraltar, as a colony, is one of the Non-Self-Governing Territories under the supervision of its Special Committee on Decolonization, as are sixteen other cases.
According to Article X of the Treaty of Utrecht, the city and castles of Gibraltar, together with its port, defenses and fortresses in 1713 would be a property in perpetuity of the British Crown in territory of Spanish jurisdiction, having to be offered or sold to Spain in the first place if the United Kingdom renounces or alienates said property in any way, without any closure in the event that Spain cannot pay. The isthmus between the rock and the other Spanish fortifications is for Spain illegally occupied territory, according to its interpretation of the treaty, although Spain broke the treaty by attacking Gibraltar as well as the other Mediterranean territories ceded in the Treaty of Utrecht.
Gibraltar is located at the southern end of the Iberian Peninsula, east of the Bay of Algeciras, and extends over the geological formation of the Rock of Gibraltar (in English: the Rock of Gibraltar or also, the Rock), a peninsula that dominates the North shore of the homonymous strait, connecting the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It has a population of 33,140 inhabitants in an area of less than 7 km², with an economy based on the service sector, mainly as a financial, tourist center and free port. Taking advantage of its privileged strategic position, it has a naval air base of the British Armed Forces.
Gibraltar was known in antiquity as promontory or mount Calpe (in Latin, Mons Calpe), one of the two mythical columns of Hercules, and later renamed as a derivation of the Arabic Ŷabal Tāriq (جبل طارق), or mountain of Tariq, in memory of General Táriq ibn Ziyad, who led the landing in this place of the forces of the Umayyad Caliphate of al-Walid I in 711. It was the scene of fighting in the 14th and 15th centuries, within the framework of the Reconquest, and finally integrated to the Crown of Castile in 1462. In 1704 it was taken by an Anglo-Dutch squad in support of Archduke Charles, a suitor during the War of the Spanish Succession, at the end of which, the British and Spanish Crowns signed the Treaty of Utrecht in 1713. From then, the political future of Gibraltar has been the subject of controversy in Spanish-British relations.
