കണ്ണൂർ ഒണക്കൻ ഭാരതിയിലെ പുട്ടും മട്ടനും. സംഭവം ആണ്. 80 വർഷത്തിലേറെ പഴക്കം ഉണ്ട് പുറത്തു പേരൊന്നും വെയ്കാത്ത ഇ കടയ്ക്ക്. രാവിലെ 6 മണി മുതൽ രാത്രി 8.30 മണി വരെ മിതമായ നിരക്കിൽ വളരെ കുറച്ചു ഐറ്റംസ് ഉള്ള ഒരൊറ്റ മെനു ആണ് ഇവിടെ വിളമ്പുന്നത്. വിളമ്പുന്ന വിധത്തിലും ഉണ്ട് പ്രേത്യേകത, സെറാമിക് പ്ലേറ്റിൽ കറി ഒഴിച്ച് അതിന്റെ മുകളിൽ പുട്ടു വെച്ചാണ് തരുന്നത്. ഇപ്പോളും പുട്ടു ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ മുള കുറ്റി ആണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. ഹോട്ടൽ തുടങ്ങിയ ഒണക്കൻ എന്ന ആൾ, ഭാരതി എന്ന് ആണ് ഹോട്ടലിനു പേരിട്ടതെങ്കിലും നാട്ടുകാർ പറഞ്ഞു പറഞ്ഞു അത് ഒണക്കൻ ഭാരതി എന്ന് ആയി.

Onakkan Bharathi aka Bharathi Vilasam Hotel at M.A.Road is a landmark and anyone who has at least spend a year in the town will know about it. This century-old hotel known for its traditional Kerala breakfast dishes is open from 5:45 am till 8:30 pm. It is closed till afternoon on all Sundays. When you come you must try the different varieties of ‘Puttus’ available here.

Indian Breakfast Puttu And Mutton Chaps In Kannur
If you are travel through Kannur, you should try puttu and mutton chaps from hotel Onakkan Bharathi . There you can't see a name board of hotel Onakkan Bharathi, its an old and well known hotel. you get not just puttu and mutton, but other items also like avil and papadam, puttu payar curry, avil, puttu kadala curry,iddly like items from Kerala breakfast.
What I had from Onakkan Bharathi was puttu mutton chaps and papadam to go with that. Steaming hot puttu dipped in mutton chaps, with papadam on top, it looked delicious. Just break a piece of puttu mix it with mutton curry, add a bit of papadam, and there you go. Mutton was very well-cooked with all masala. Watch the video, and tell me about your opinion.
