6-Year-Old Genius Kid Becomes Etihad Airways Pilot for a Day

Six-year-old Adam has always been fascinated by planes and aviation. His dream is to become a Captain of an A380 Airbus. On board a flight from Morocco to Abu Dhabi, our Etihad Airways Cabin Crew noticed that the boy clearly wanted to fly the plane and was passionate about aircraft. They decided to create the opportunity of a lifetime for Adam, by inviting him into the cockpit.

The video went viral after Captain Samer Yakhlef managed to film some of Adam’s genius on his phone. The world was captivated.

We were so amazed by Adam when he came to talk to us in the cockpit, that we wanted to make his dreams a reality. Adam became an Etihad pilot for a day, and actually had the opportunity to fly his favourite aircraft in our Training Academy simulators.

Captain Adam, may your dreams fly high!

Why Every Airline Is Expanding Routes To India

since the start of 2022, several airlines especially north American ones, are expanding their routes to India. after the pandemic, airlines like Air Canada, American, united, and air India have all announced new routes connecting north America to major Indian cities.
well, there are a few factors contributing to this expansion to India, but the major one is simply demand. as more and more people are getting accessibility, and affordability to air travel the number of passengers in Indian aviation is increasing every day. low-cost carriers and more airports in secondary cities have led to more people traveling through flights and have unlocked a new market for Indian aviation.

Flying the World's Last Passenger Boeing 707

What is it like to fly on a Boeing 707? This video shares my memory of flying on the world's last passenger Boeing 707 flight of Saha Air in Iran.

The Boeing 707 is Boeing's first jet, designed in the 1950s, and is almost 70 years old. It was incredibly loud with 4 JT3D turbofan engines. The Boeing 707 left a long legacy for future aircraft design, especially in the cockpit and the cabin. You can still find many similarities in modern airliners today.

Flying on the original airliner, the B707 was an absolutely thrilling experience. My last B707 flight took me on an adventure from Tehran to Mashad. We took off with the B707s typical shallow climb. The Saha Air B707 has a simple interior with only open racks, instead of overhead bins. A big group of Iraqi religious pilgrims were sitting behind me, they were chanting Muslim prayers during take-off and landing. Saha Air B707 was originally converted from a tanker and then later, after it was retired from passenger service, it went back into service as tanker again. There are large refuelling observation windows onboard. Enjoy the B707 experience!

Thanks to Shahram Sharifi, Alireza Khodakarami, SpeedBird HD and Boeing images for the footage.

HAL displays AMCA at Defence Expo 2022. #defenceexpo2022 #defexpo2022 #AMCA #shorts

This model of AMCA was displayed by HAL at defence expo in Gandhinagar this year.

The Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) is an Indian programme to develop a fifth-generation stealth, multiple role, air superiority fighter for the Indian Air Force and the Indian Navy which will also include sixth-generation niche technologies. The design of the aircraft is carried out by Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), an aircraft design and development agency constituted under Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). It is expected to be produced by a public-private joint venture between the DRDO, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), and an Indian private company. The development cost is estimated to be around ₹15,000 crore (~$2 billion).
