This is our first Food Vlog from our Udupi Tour Series.
HOTEL THIMMAPPA FISH MEALS
is a popular seafood restaurant in Udupi, which serves delicious, super fresh and affordable seafood meals. The meals here are served on fresh banana leaf ,which gives you an authentic South Indian meal experience. They make their own masalas and the secret recipe is owners mothers own recipe, which they are following religiously from past 50+ years.
In the episode we visited Hotel Thimmappa on a weekend for our dinner, completely packed with customers. We had all the delicious seafood recommended to us by Mr. Prajwal (Grandson) of Thimmappa, and had a small visit to their Kitchen, where all the action was happening and had a conversations with Mr. Prajwal about the food and its history.
This place was started by Mr. Sathish Kotian's(owner) parents to earn their livelihood, by serving simple home cooked meals inside a small home and the name of the Hotel is of Mr. Sathish Kotian's father and Mr. Prajwal's grandfather Thimmappa , which had now became a landmark and one of the most popular hotel in and around Udupi.
If you are at UDUPI and you eat Non-Veg, Do Not Miss this place at any cost.

Malpe Fish Market - Biggest Fishing Market In Karnataka | ಮಲ್ಪೆ ಮೀನುಗಾರಿಕಾ ಬಂದರು | Capturelife
Around 2 km. from the Malpe beach is the Malpe Fish Market. Unlike not so known beaches of Malpe, this fish market is in fact one of the most important fishing port in not only Karnataka, but in India. This fishing harbor not only caters to state of Karnataka but is also a selling point for fishes arriving from the neighboring States of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. There are two systems to sell the fish here: one is on the basis of the number of boxes the buyer wants and the other is through an auction that takes place at the harbor itself. The fish is auctioned and sold on the spot to the highest bidder before the next lot of fish is unloaded.

Hie all,
This is my last Udupi vlog part-3 and I have covered Malpe ,St Mary beaches and night life in malpe too after malpe beach I went a head and explore MTR hotel and review the same.
The yellow dish is kesari bhat and the curry rice is known as besibelle bhat.
Malpe beach is 8 km from Udupi center and from there St Mary will cost 400 for a ticket ,there is also a sea walk which is vry famous in malpe beach must explore.
I stayed 3 days in Udupi where in I covered
1- Krishna Matha temple
2 - kapu light house beach
3 - Kodi Bengre / Delta beach
4-Malpe beach
5- St Mary's Island
Reviewed MTR and hotel Diana .

Reasons to Visit Malpe:
Malpe Beach: The beach is a virgin beach, located at a distance about 6 kms from Udupi. It is an important port and a fishing harbour in the state of Karnataka. The endless stretch of golden sand, graciously swaying palm trees, clear blue sky and the gentle murmur of the sea, set the perfect mood for an idyllic holiday. Be sure to visit the Balarama Temple and Malpe’s oldest tile factory, set up by the Basel Mission.
St Mary’s Island, Malpe: St Mary’s Island is a popular picnic spot, a short boat ride away from Malpe harbour.
Kadike Beach: A lesser-known beach north of Malpe Beach
Padukere Beach: Another beach south of Malpe
Sea walk Malpe: A small stretch of walkway formed over rocks placed to facilitate entry and exit of boats into Malpe Harbor.
Temples: Malpe is known for Vadabhandeshwara Balarama temple
Water sports: Water sports at the beach includes parasailing and banana boat rides but subject to favourable weather and operator discretion.
Industries: Malpe is known for shipbuilding, fisheries, tile making and coconut processing industries.
Places to visit near the Beach:
Visitors can head to Udupi to visit Sri Krishna Temple (5 kms) or Kapu beach and lighthouse (20 kms from Malpe) to spend the rest of the day. Mangaluru city (60 kms) offers more beaches, temples and attractions for an extended weekend trip.
How to reach Malpe: Malpe is 410 kms from Bengaluru and 60 kms from Mangaluru. Udupi is the nearest railway station. Regular buses are available to reach Udupi from all parts of Karnataka and from Udupi. The beach can be reached by hiring auto or taxi.
Places to stay near Malpe: Few resorts are available near the beach. Nearby town of Udupi offers multiple budget and luxury stay options. KSTDC manages Paradise Isle Beach Resort in Malpe. Houseboat stay is also possible at Kodi Bengre, 12 kms from Malpe
