The SNFCC consists of several buildings, including a national library, an opera house, and a public park. Designed by renowned architects, the building features unique and modern architecture.

Το Κέντρο Πολιτισμού Ίδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος είναι χώρος διεξαγωγής πολιτιστικών εκδηλώσεων συνολικής έκτασης 210.000 μ², το οποίο περιλαμβάνει τις κτιριακές εγκαταστάσεις της Εθνικής Βιβλιοθήκης της Ελλάδος και της Εθνικής Λυρικής Σκηνής καθώς και πάρκο αστικού τύπου και άλλες μικρότερες εγκαταστάσεις. Το Ίδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος έκανε δωρεά 630.000.000 ευρώ και η συνολική του αξία εκτιμάται γύρω στα 3.000.000.000 ευρώ. Το οικοδόμημα και το πάρκο βρίσκονται στον Φαληρικό όρμο, υπαγόμενο διοικητικά στο Δήμο Καλλιθέας.Το κέντρο έχει λάβει πληθώρα διακρίσεων και επαίνων τόσο για το φιλανθρωπικό του έργο και τις εκδηλώσεις που λαμβάνουν χώρα σε αυτό όσο και για την αρχιτεκτονική του που θεωρείται πρωτοπόρα σε όλο τον κόσμο. Σχεδιάστηκε από τον Ιταλό αρχιτέκτονα Ρέντσο Πιάνο.
