Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure [8K 360 | 360 Audio] Front Row POV, Early Morning
Located at Universal Studios Orlando Islands of Adventure inside the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Hogsmeade, experience an early morning ride POV (twice!) aboard Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure from the front row! This video has captured in immersive 360 in a stabilized view and rendered in stunning 8K 360° to use with a VR headset. Audio has been captured with true spatial 360° audio (ambix). Ambisonics is a full-sphere surround sound format that will allow you to experience sound in all directions. It's the next best thing to being there!
⚠️For BEST QUALITY, please choose 8K on desktop (lower right corner gear icon) or Advanced - 2160s (under top right corner, quality settings) on your mobile phone, tablet or VR headset.
This is a 360º interactive video! Click and drag to pan camera in any direction or simply move your mobile device/tablet to look around. Be sure to select the highest streaming quality on your device for best viewing experience (2160s in most cases for mobile, 4320s for 8K 360 desktop viewing if your computer can handle it). You can also experience this with a VR headset through YouTube's app. 360º views are supported on mobile YouTube App, Firefox & Chrome Browsers. Recorded with the GoPro Max (protune on: ISO Min100/Max1600, EV -2) at 30fps captured at 6K with 360 audio (ambix) and edited together in ProRes format/ upscaled to 8K 2D 360 using Adobe Premiere.
Regarding true resolution of an 8K 360° video:
Unlike standard videos, in a 360° video you can view only a part of original image (approximately 30-90 degrees out of 360). As result, the real resolution of the part you can see isn't bigger than 1.3K--2K (or slightly better than 1080p HD). As of 2020, 8K 360 is the max resolution YouTube can play. Hopefully someday YouTube will support 16K 360 video allowing for true 4K VR resolution and affordable cameras will exist to capture that :).

You will find this ride in Hogsmeade, tucked away in the Forbidden Forest. And before you even start the ride- the storytelling journey begins. The queue is full of interesting artifacts and amazing makeshift homes Hagrid has built in the mysterious ruins behind his house for all of his magical creatures. Keep your eye out for dragon eggs on the verge of hatching, or terrariums that once housed Blast-Ended Skrewts. And don’t miss the preshow! Or you might just miss an adorable look at Hagrid’s loyal dog, Fang.
Riders 48” and taller can experience this unique coaster which has 7 total launches- more than any other coaster in the world! Reaching almost a mile in length, Hagrid’s is the longest roller coaster in all of Florida.

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is a steel roller coaster located at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade section of Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure theme park. The attraction, manufactured by Intamin, opened on June 13, 2019. Universal described the roller coaster as a highly-themed roller coaster that will take us into a different corner of the wizarding world, where guests will encounter some of their favorite characters and creatures.” The attraction replaced the Dragon Challenge roller coasters, which closed on September 4, 2017.

Pro Riding Tip: For your best riding experience, we recommend riding Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure during the Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts! If you time it right , you will be zipping through the Forbidden Forest as the sky lights up from fireworks from the show! It makes the ride quite an experience!!! Highly recommend trying this out! Calling all wizards, witches and muggles! ~Hop~ on your motorbike for a thrilling adventure through the Forbidden Forest, encountering many dark and powerful magical creatures along the way.
Hogwarts' Care of Magical Creatures professor, Rubeus Hagrid, invites visitors to encounter beasts of all shapes and sizes from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The adventure begins at Hogsmeade in Universal’s Islands of Adventure, as you walk through the immersive queue. Walk by Hagrid’s hut and venture to the edge of the Forbidden Forest. Once you enter the abandoned ruins, you’ll see materials from Hagrid’s Care of Magical Creatures class: nearly-hatched dragon eggs and a makeshift terrarium nursery for his Blast-Ended Skrewts. Guests then hop on Hagrid’s magical motorbike. Each bike seats two people, one person on the bike itself and one in the sidecar. The ride features lots of twists and turns and has the most launches of any roller coaster in the world. Plus, we can’t ~froget~ about the freefall drop!
