Taking place underneath the floor of New Orleans Square, Pirates of the Caribbean is one of Disney's Largest Attractions ever constructed! Spanning the entirety of Blue Bayou, traveling underneath the Disneyland railroad, and towards the outskirts of the Resort, Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland in California is an attraction that is hard to forget!
Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland is a great attraction for Families of all ages and is an absolute must-do when visiting Disneyland.

Pirates of the Caribbean at Walt Disney World in the Magic Kingdom is a dark ride with boats. The ride is a bit shorter than the original Disneyland version, but it does have a much better queue.

Pirates of the Caribbean On Ride Low Light 4K POV with Queue Disneyland 2024 01 30
Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland is one of my favorite dark rides of all time. This is the original version of the ride and is the best one between the two US parks. The Disneyland version had more scenes and more drops and is much longer. Plus it has a cool restaurant in the ride.
No external lighting was used in the filming of the ride. Also, LCDs were blacked out to maintain the magic for all guests. Remember never use flash or external lighting on a ride, it ruins the fun for everyone.

A Treasure for the Ages
Pirates of the Caribbean is considered to be one of the most spectacular attractions ever created for a theme park.
The attraction was originally conceived as a wax museum and a walk-through adventure. But following the success of Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress at the 1964 New York World’s Fair, Walt Disney and his team of Imagineers decided that Audio-Animatronics—Walt’s latest animation technology—was the most imaginative way to tell a rousing pirate story.
On March 18, 1967, Pirates of the Caribbean opened at Disneyland park. Thanks to the many highly detailed environments, lavish special effects and memorable characters, the attraction earned rave reviews and has remained a beloved classic ever since.
Due to popular demand, the attraction opened at Magic Kingdom park on December 15, 1973 and, most recently, has spawned a blockbuster film series starring Johnny Depp.
