AFFILIATE LINK DISCLOSURE: Friends, making a quality Loloho video is kind of like making sausage – only slightly more violent. It's a ridiculous amount of work that typically involves high dollar camera drops, blue-screen-of-death computer crashes, and at least one angry shotgun wielding old man shouting, “Hey! Get the hell outta here!” Once the final video is posted, rewards here on YouTube are few and far between (unless you are a masochist who enjoys being verbally abused by anonymous trolls). One saving grace is our affiliate links. JUST CLICKING THESE LINKS HELPS TO SUPPORT OUR LITTLE SHOW. Think of this clicking as like tipping - except that it doesn't cost you anything extra! If you eventually make a purchase via one of our affiliate links, we will receive a few pennies (and Sean typically invests these pennies in duct tape and video gear). Again, it doesn't cost you anything to click these links, and it's a great help to us. As always, safe travels, happy camping, and THANK YOU!

RV Power: Is This Better Than a Gas or Solar Generator? CarGenerator Review/

Let’s explore three different plug-and-play off grid power options for RVing: Car Generator, Solar Generators, and Dual Fuel Inverter Generators. Each has its pros and cons, with Car Generator being convenient and quiet but tied to your vehicle, Solar Generators being easy to use but expensive and has some bugs, and Dual Fuel Inverter Generators being reliable but requiring maintenance and potentially being noisy at high loads. These options offer flexibility for different camping situations and each fills a different power requirement while traveling in your RV. ↘️↘️Click _*“SHOW MORE”*_ below to open the full video description! ↙️↙️

Best Generator for RV Boondocking (Top 3)

This video is about Top 3 best generator for rv boondocking.

Boondocking in RV is great fun but also has power requirements. Getting a portable generator for your RV is a therefore a must while boondocking or dry camping in your rv or pop up camper or travel trailer. Off grid camping in travel trailer needs a lightweight and portable generator.

Below are the top 3 best generators you can buy while boondocking in your camper.

1.Champion 3100-watt Portable Inverter Generator :
2. WEN 56200i 2000-watt Portable Inverter Generator :
3. Westinghouse iGen2500 Inverter Generator :

Each of these generators are great in terms of price, weight and portability. They are priced very nicely and hence you can afford any one of them. Other best generators from Honda or Yamaha are priced higher and hence they didn't make to this list.

While Boondocking you will not have shore power like in campground and therefore getting right size generator is very much necessary. Choosing right watts for the generator is also critical. These generators that i have selected are good enough to run an air conditioner or refrigerator in your RV or travel trailer or motorhome.

These are the best generators you can have inside your RV with no other power source.

RV Generators and what we learned

#retrorvrecon
RV Generators and what we learned.
In this video we go over how Hurricane Ida taught us which of the three portable generators that we tried is best for our 30amp Retro RV. We tested the Honda EU2200I, Honda EU3000IS and the Champion 3650W. We show starting each generator and compare the noise levels. We discuss which of the three portable generators is best to power our camper at home and while camping.
Check out the video and tell us what you think, we would like to hear other experiences.

Must Have for Your RV, Portable Generator, Honda Review EU2200i, EU2000i, EU1000i

Now that we have been RV Living Full Time for 6 months, we have found what products we truly need. One of them is a generator- whether you have solar or not.
We purchased our Honda EU2000i generator 16 years ago as Hurricane Charley was approaching our home in Central Florida. It kept us powered up for a week while our power was out. Since then it has gotten us through many extended power outages because of hurricanes. When we bought our First travel trailer in 2011, our honda generator was the perfect companion for our RV so we could dry camp.
In this video we will share our 16 year experience with this generator and its successor the EU2200i generator. We will cover these topics Important specifications, Maintenance, Storage, Connecting to an RV, extension cords, fuel cans, using it with a solar setup, and our overall 16 year impression.
We will also go over the baby brother to the EU2000/EU2200, the EU1000i generator and how that may be an excellent option.
If you are looking for portable generator, the Honda line of generators cant be beat, but they are not the cheapest generator on the market, you get what you pay for.

ABOUT US

Welcome to Grand Adventure, a YouTube channel that focuses on RV-centric outdoor activities including not only of course camping, but also mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and more, nearly always filmed in stunning 4K.

We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and invite you to come along as we travel all around the western U.S. My wife Patricia and I, and our dogs Zoe and Maggie are avid boondockers, so you'll seldom find us in RV parks or even dry campgrounds. We'll provide tips and insight on equipping and maintaining your RV, trip planning and travel videos to make your next adventure a grand one indeed! So, subscribe to make sure that you catch every episode, and remember...life is nothing but a Grand Adventure!

Easiest Portable Plug & Play RV Power! #rv #rvlife #gifted #rvliving #camping #campinglife

There is no single “BEST” power source when RVing - every option has its pros and cons - fuel storage, weight, price, weather, noise, storage space and ease of setup all play into what option you’d choose for any given situation.

**Disclosure: I received a Car Generator complimentary for testing and demonstration purposes. The opinions and experiences are my own and I was not additionally compensated or directed in any way concerning anything presented in this video.**

While RVing we currently carry three power generation sources in addition to plugging into shore power: we have two small Champion inverter generators that we can link together if we need double the power - those can run off both gasoline or propane, we have a Jackery power station with 1200 watts of folding solar panels and we carry a Car Generator.

Why do we have all these energy generation sources? Options. Plain and simple, it’s good to have options.

The easiest portable power source to use is the Car Generator.

It is the lightest option coming in around 16lbs and from start to finish I can have it setup in less than 1 minute. It simply clamps onto the jump start posts on any vehicle (in my truck that’s the battery terminals) and uses power produced by the alternator to turn 12v DC into 120v AC through a commercial grade, pure sine wave inverter.

It has a huge reserve capacity - literally the fuel tank on my vehicle - and according to the calculations and tests Car Generator has done most folks will get anywhere from 50-70 hours of run time on a tank of fuel.

Because it uses the fuel tank on the vehicle you wouldn’t have to mess with additional fuel storage or refilling a small generator tank every day with a portable gas can and although modern inverter generators are exceptionally quiet for what they are, my truck at idle using Car Generator is absolutely quieter and less obtrusive than my generator.

Some ways we’ve used Car Generator over the past year have been to top off our RV batteries on a cloudy day while boondocking at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, to make smoothies for breakfast after a stopover night in a Cracker Barrel parking lot, and to run our RV during a perfect storm of inconvenience while dry camping in southern Florida.

Car Generator isn’t some new-to-the market idea that will be a silver bullet to all of your power needs. But it is an out of the box, plug and play option to get reliable, safe, and convenient power on demand - for RV use or while at home. The adjustment strap and rubberized backing allow you to safely hang it on the front of your vehicle and the custom housing vents heat out the top handle and is weatherproof, allowing you to use this power source when you need it most as it especially shines during inclement weather to keep you supplied with power when other sources fail.

Which brings us to the downfalls of Car Generator. It’s tied to your vehicle - which means you can only power your RV when the tow vehicle is present and within reach.

Its limited on power - there are several models of Car Generator but the most ubiquitous version supplies 1000w of power - you can go bigger but you’d have to verify with Car Generator that your vehicle’s alternator output is sufficient- which typically means you need a “high output” or second alternator. For reference - Car Generator paired my Ram 2500 with a 6.4L gas engine to the 1000w All Weather model because it’s equipped with the 180 amp alternator.

There are definitely cheaper ways to DIY the same solution, but the all weather housing and plug and play nature of the unit are conveniences worth considering.

Overall, Car Generator is a simple and effective solution that is easy for ANYONE to set up and use right out of the box.

QUIET RV CAMPING POWER. Champion 3100 watt inverter generator review

Champion 3100 Watt remote start power inverter

Just a little quick review of our Champion 3100 watt inverter we use for dry camping. We used this more with the Gulfstream TT we had but it has plenty of power to run our AC unit on our new Jayco TT. The remote start if really convenient. Would most definitely recommend this quiet little unit to anyone needing some dry camping power.

It's quiet rv camping power at it's best!
