???????? Niš, Serbia - Welcome back to Serbia for another Serbia travel video! If you're planning a Serbia trip or looking for places to visit in Serbia, I could have the place for you!
After spending another month in Belgrade, I headed to Serbia’s third-largest city in the south-east of the country; a city well known for it’s history. Niš is the birthplace of the first Christian Roman Emperor, Constantinople the Great, and is the site of the first Nazi Concentration Camp in the former Yugoslavia.
In this video we take a walk around Niš and look at some of the differences with Belgrade, describe some first impressions, visit the Fortress and check out some Serbian food as we devour some Pljeskavica. Note that this is the first of a few videos from Niš so points such as the Skull Tower will be in upcoming videos.

???????? BELGRADE, SERBIA - Welcome back to Belgrade for another Travel Belgrade video! In previous Serbia travel videos, we've explored many areas of the capital including Dorćol, Knez Mihailova, Zemun and more. We've even driven around New Belgrade in a Zastava!
If you're thinking about planning a Belgrade trip in 2020, you might be interested in visiting these areas. That's great, because they're wonderful, but Belgrade is more than just that the frequently visited tourist areas.
Taste is subjective. We are all into different things when it comes to travel. One aspect of cities I love is exploring its 'less attractive' areas which often tell the story of a city. In this video, we head over the other side of the Sava to explore brutalist architecture in New Belgrade, grim, imposing, monolithic structures constructed as part of Tito's utopian vision for the former Yugoslavia.
We visit Bloks 23, 28 and revisit Genex Tower and Hotel Jugoslavia. There's plenty more brutalist architecture in Belgrade, this is just a taster!

BELGRADE, SERBIA - Welcome back to Belgrade, Serbia for another part of my 2021 Travel Serbia series to add to my previous videos filmed in Serbia in 2019 and 2020!
This time, we are checking out Belgrade's MASSIVE Eastern City Gate, another example of brutalist architecture in Belgrade. Last year we visited many bloks in New Belgrade (Novi Beograd) including Televizorka, as well as the Western City Gate (Genex Tower). The Eastern City Gate (or Rudo) consists of 3 residential tower blocks built between 1973 and 1976 at the height of brutalism popularity. Do you love brutalism or hate it?
We also have some Serbian food, simply some pita sircina or pita sa sirom (cheese pastry) instead of having burek sa sirom as always. After that, we head to the BIGZ building, an example of modernist architecture which was once home to a well-known Serbian printing and graphics company. The company itself dates back to 1831.

???????? Belgrade, Serbia (Београд) - We’re back in Belgrade for Part 9 of my 2022 Serbia Travel series! Brutalist and Modernist architecture made a return as a ‘love letter to Brutalism’, highlighting my favourite examples of brutalism in Novi Beograd, common in 1970s Yugoslavia, from the past such as the Genex Tower (Western Gate), Rudo (Eastern Gate), Blok 23 and Televizorka, as well as new locations such as Banjica!
This is my final series of videos before YouTube retirement coming soon, so Beograd is a legacy character location! Hence, some of the buildings have been covered before. This video is just as much for a new audience as it is for me! Brutalism may not be for everyone (especially those who think travel is only valid if it involves ‘pretty locations’ - outdated AF). Do what fascinates you, not what the sheep on Instagram tell you to do!
This is my 5th visit to Serbia (I was first here in 2019). In 2021 I managed to explore quite extensively, visiting outstanding locations such as Kruševac, Subotica, and Kragujevac. I'm currently based in Užice!

BELGRADE WATERFRONT - Welcome to another video from my 2021 Serbia Travel series. We're in Belgrade once again, this time checking out Belgrade Waterfront, a modern development or project on the riverbank near Savamala which could be argued as one of Serbia's greatest controversies, full of high-rise buildings, apartment blocks and commercial opportunities. Is this Serbia's biggest eyesore? Is it modern Belgrade and sign of future development, or simply a rich Arab playground, paid for solely by an investor from Eagle Hills, a development company from the United Arab Emirates, responsible for the Burj Khalifa?
This area has divided many for numerous reasons. Arguably, Belgrade Waterfront may boost the Serbian economy in terms of travel and tourism, bringing people from across the world to discover the history of Serbia and the amazing Serbian food on offer. It may provide job opportunities in Serbia, but does it reflect the life of an average Serb in terms of the average salary in Serbia?

BELGRADE, SERBIA - Welcome back to Belgrade! In this video, I once again team up with Igor from @Belgrade_eats to film a video we originally planned pre-coronavirus! Many have the misconception of Belgrade that it’s all grey, imposing buildings and graffiti. Sure, those aspects exist, but the Serbian capital also has plenty of green spaces, as demonstrated in this video.
We have rakija, a common alcoholic drink in the Balkan region, Šiš ćevap, a common meaty dish in Serbia comprised of beef/pork, condiments and salad and a cross between ćevapi and a kebab! We do a mini urbex tour of some abandoned locations in Belgrade, such as an abandoned sugar refinery and houses, head to Topčider Park, a forest and park full of trees, wildlife, natural springs, abandoned mines, bunkers and more!

???????? BELGRADE, SERBIA - Hi everyone and welcome back! The last time you saw me was 6 weeks ago before my early 'Summer' break. After my Mexico flight was cancelled (well, the route was suspended), I decided to leave Belarus and return to Serbia to pick up the belongings I left here 3 months ago before I got stranded in Sweden due to Coronavirus.
This is the first video put together as an accompaniment to my website - - you can find travel, work and digital nomad blog posts and more as well as an accompanied blog post to go with this video with photography, text and additional video. Note - I am NOT a YouTuber anymore!
In this video we see what Belgrade is like post-coronavirus, discuss the necessity to get moving again (and travelling!) as well as checking out some food (not burek!), Belgrade Design District (well, the underground subway area next to the actual District) and finally reunite with Whiskey after 3 months!

Motorcycle Trip From NOVI SAD to FRUSKA GORA | Day Tour From Belgrade

G’day everyone :) In this video, my friend Aleksandar and I go to Fruska Gora National Park in Novi Sad by motorbike.
Fruska Gora (Fruška Gora, Фрушка гора) National Park is just one hour from Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. There are many monasteries, charming towns, and vineyards around. Over 34 Orthodox monasteries were built in Fruska Gora, of which 17 survived, while two monasteries emerged recently. Most of the monasteries were built from the 15th to 18th centuries. During our trip, we visit the Orthodox Monastery Velike Remeta and The Freedom Monument which was raised in honor of the fallen soldiers and represents a symbol of the National Liberation struggle against fascism in the second world war.
Finally, we have a traditional Serbian meal at a restaurant next to the Danube River. Something like fish stew :) Fish Pörklöt!

Sırbistan’dan merhaba herkese :) Bu haftaki videoda, Sırp arkadaşım Aleksandar ile birlikte, motosikletle, Novi Sad’da bulunan Fruska Gora Dağı’na çıkıyoruz.
Fruska Gora (Fruška Gora, Фрушка гора) Milli Parkı, Sırbistan'ın başkenti Belgrad'dan sadece bir saat uzaklıkta. Çevresinde birçok manastır, kasaba ve üzüm bağı var. Çoğu 15. ve 18. yüzyıllar arasında inşa edilmiş 34 Ortodoks manastırından geriye sadece 17’si kalmış. Gezimiz sırasında biz de Ortodox Manastırı olan Velike Remeta’yı ve İkinci Dünya Savaşı'nda kaybedilen askerlerin onuruna inşa edilmiş Özgürlük Anıtı’nı ziyaret ettik. Bu anıt aynı zamanda, faşizme karşı Ulusal Kurtuluş mücadelesinin bir sembolünü temsil ediyor.
Son olaraksa, Tuna Nehri kenarında bulunan bir restorantta geleneksel bir sırp yemeği yiyoruz. Güveçte balık; Fish Pörklöt.
