Sosúa is a beach town in the Puerto Plata province of the Dominican Republic. Located approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) from the Gregorio Luperón International Airport in San Felipe de Puerto Plata.The town is divided into three sectors: El Batey, which is the main tourist section and on the east side of the main beach (Playa Sosúa),[5] Los Charamicos, on the west end of the beach and past that, heading north toward the airport, is Sosúa Abajo. Sosua is accessed b by Camino Cinco, or Highway 5, which runs the country's North coastline.

My vacation to Dominican Republic Sosua Puerto Plata, this time with my wife. Visited beautiful Hotel Casa Valeria & Piergiorgio Palace Hotel & Sosua Bay Resort. Rented a bike and traveled to various places in Sosua, Cabarete, Veragua, Rio San Juan, Playa Caleton, Playa Alicia & Playa Grande. Driving in Dominica is not safe, be careful.

Nevertheless, there are a number of hotels and good restaurants. Most left after just a few years, but not before building many fine homes.
