2012 引本神社例大祭 関船祭り
紀北町引本浦に長く続く関船祭りです。
江戸時代中期に奥村太郎左衛門という人物が、病気平癒を八幡宮に祈願して快癒したことから、その後の秋の例大祭の日に、お礼として小船に神輿を付けて奉納したのが始まりで、以来200年以上の歴史を持つお祭です。
白装束に身にまとった男衆が１トンほどの関船を担いで町内を練り巡行する祭で、スチルカメラマンが大勢訪れる祭です。

アキーラさん慰霊訪問③親日国パラオ・ペリリュー島（日米激戦地）へ出征！小型船乗船！Peleliu island,Palau
平成２５年（２０１３年）６月にかつての日本の委任統治領であるパラオを訪問し、日米の激戦地になったペリリュー島を訪問した。マラカル島からボートで約１時間到着。日章旗と旭日旗を掲げた。雨季で天気が他の滞在日は悪かったが、この時は、英霊の方々が歓迎してくれたのか清々しい天気であった。昭和19年9月15日米軍によるペリリュー初上陸が行われたた。（海岸からの戦艦等によるに艦砲射撃後に）。（オレンジビーチ）米軍の計算では数日で陥落させる予定が、一斉の日本軍の射撃、砲撃にあり反撃をくらい小さな島であるが陥落までに２か月以上を要した。日本軍の死者約１１０００人、米軍の死者約８０００人。祖国を守るために戦われて命を落とした英霊の方々に感謝の意を表するとともに慰霊をさせていただきました。
アメリカが攻めて来るのを事前に察知し、戦闘にペリリュー島民を巻きこまないように、島民を本島のほうへ移しました。しかし、そんな中、一部のペリリュー島民はペリリュー島決死隊を結成し、日本軍と一緒にアメリカと戦ったのでした。
義理と人情を重んじる侍・武士道国家の日本。日本は素晴らしい国でした。
