Vietnam Street Food - ULTIMATE PHO TOUR!! (How Pho Became World’s #1 Vietnamese Food)

???? Bangkok Chinatown - 5 Best Foods:
???? T-shirts:
???? Ghost Chili - Available Now:

HANOI, VIETNAM: Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam, the capital of the most well known Vietnamese food around the world - pho! Today I’m hanging out with my friend Khoa from @Hanoifood and we’re taking you on an unforgettable pho tour of Hanoi. We’ll be eating at 5 of the best pho restaurants and stalls in Hanoi, and sharing with you the history of how pho came about and how it took over the world as the most famous of all Vietnamese food.

Huge thanks to Khoa: @Hanoifood

Here are all the pho spots we ate at in this video:

1. Phở Mạnh Cường (
Price: 55,000 VND ($2.31) per bowl
We’re starting off with a simple bowl of pho, but very popular for breakfast in Hanoi.

2. Pho Thin (
Price: 70,000 VND ($2.94) per bowl
This is one of the most famous bowls of pho in Hanoi, and they even have restaurants abroad. One of their signatures is that they stir fry the beef instead of boiling it. It’s not doubt one of the best bowls of pho you’ll ever eat.

3. Phở Bò Ấu Triệu (
Price: 60,000 VND ($2.52) per bowl
Another bowl of extraordinary beef pho, this was one of my favorites of the day.

4. Phở gà Phương (
Price: 100,000 VND ($4.20) for full toppings
Along with beef, chicken pho has a unique history and Khoa takes me to one of his favorite places - this place is outstanding!

5. Phở Hạnh (
Price: 50,000 VND ($2.10) per bowl, 80,000 VND (3.36) salad
To wrap up this ultimate Vietnamese street food pho tour we tried one more bowl of chicken pho - but this time a dry version with soup on the side. Additionally the cabbage chicken salad was life-changing.

Thank you for watching this ultimate Vietnamese street food tour in Hanoi!

Special thanks to Pho 88 at 1121 S Lemon St
Fullerton, California for hosting my first ever Southern California Pho Meet, Greet, and Eat. Thanks to everyone who came out to support me! Thanks to Valerie for driving me around. Thank you everyone.

Brief history on my YouTube presence. I went to Vietnam in 2009 and filmed a bunch of short clips and vlogs because they helped me ease through the culture shock by having something to share with my friends when I came home. Then I came back to Vietnam by myself a year later in 2010 and traveled to 10 different cities and fell in love with Vietnam. A year prior, I hated it and didn't want to come back. In late 2011 I moved over with the intentions of staying for a year. This is when I started SoJournaling Vietnam travelogues or travel documentaries featuring specific cities. Then a year later I bought a smart phone (HTC One S) and started recording clips off it and called that series VietnaMoments, which I started to film friends like OldBoy off of. This was when my channel started to pick up some momentum. Then I switched channels and started monetizing in 2013 and in late 2014 I taped an episode of Bizarre Foods and producers encouraged me to keep going and make better videos. In January of 2015 was when I first bought real audio equipment and started taking the YouTube channel a lot more seriously. Here we are now. 100K subs here we come! Thank you everyone!

Best Pho in Hoi An - Pho Lien - Vietnamese Street food

Driving Malaysia’s First National Car to Vietnam Presents: How to Make a Happy Bowl of Pho in Hoi An with Tammathy Yiin.

We continue the story of Jeremy Toh and Tammathy Yiin's epic adventure to drive Malaysia's First National Car from Kuala Lumpur to Hoi An, Vietnam. While they couldn't drive their Proton Saga any further than the Thai-Cambodian border, they did manage to get themselves tickets to fly into Hoi An, Vietnam.

In this episode, we learn how to make a very HAPPY bowl of Pho with Tammathy Yiin. Pho is a comfort food for us, especially during winter months in Melbourne. Tam seems to have found the best shop in Hoi An, called Pho Lien. And we ate there almost every afternoon.

Pho Lien is located directly across ADONG Silk, where we were making our Tailored Suits for our Boosted Board video.

Pho Lien's owner was kind enough to let Tammathy make his own bowl of Pho, she even let him in a her secret ingredient. She yells it consistently at him throughout the film, check out the behind the scenes. It is hilarious!

The secret ingredient to make every meal: HAPPY!

Check Out Pho Lien in the Link below:

Giant Pho Weighs 13 Pounds

At Dong Thap Noodles in Seattle, you can order a bowl of pho that weighs nearly 13 pounds. The meal is composed of three pounds of noodles, meat, and liters of broth, respectively. It's meant for a family of six to seven people, but if you can finish the bowl within 90 minutes, you get a $500 reward. Only three people have successfully completed the challenge.

PHỞ BÁT ĐÀN - Best Pho in Hanoi, Vietnam !!

As the birthplace of Pho, Hanoi is ground for the fragrant rice noodle soup served with fresh herbs that has become popular all over Vietnam. It's no surprise, then, that Hanoi's pho is outstanding. Two variations are most popular: Pho Ga (with chicken) and Pho Bo (with beef). Pho is traditionally served as a breakfast food, so you'll find pho sellers all over streets from before dawn to mid-morning.

Restaurant named Pho Bat Dan, this is at 49 Bat Dan Street, Hanoi.
