Royal Caribbean Goes Adults Only at Private Island
Cruise news today. Royal Caribbean’s new adults-only area on Perfect Day called Hideaway Beach will start to welcome guests in January 2024. The new destination will provide an atmosphere for adults seeking relaxation away from family activities. Features include over an acre of white sand beach, in-water hammocks, a live DJ by the pool, and two levels of cabanas—some with their own plunge pools. Dining options range from tropical pizzas to burgers, and multiple bars will serve craft cocktails. The area will be accessible on sailings from various U.S. ports, with the costs varying by the season at $39-89 per person. The cruise ship Ocean Explorer, carrying 206 passengers and crew, was successfully freed after running aground off Greenland's eastern coastline earlier this week. Despite initial failed attempts to refloat the ship and concerns about waiting for a larger Danish naval vessel for assistance, the ship was eventually dislodged by a Greenlandic fishing research vessel. The Cruise Lines International Association has unveiled its 2023 Global Cruise Industry Environmental Technologies and Practices Report. The report showed of the 44 new cruise ships slated for delivery in the next five years, 25 of them will be powered by Liquid Natural Gas, while seven will be methanol-ready or capable. Today I’m getting onboard the worlds largest cruise ship, Wonder of the Seas. Operated by Royal Caribbean, I’ll be exploring every aspect of the experience from one of the very best first class suites onboard, to the various dining and the incredible activities you can enjoy. Ice skating, to broadway shows, to taking a zip line across the ship..it’s all possible!
As usual, I paid in full for this experience as a regular guest. Royal Carribean had no idea I was coming, so I can offer a honest and non bias account of the experience. I explain fully in the video, and whilst we had a brilliant time there were some drawbacks, and areas for improvement especially at this price point.

Beachfront II has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 5 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
