Guatemala is an untouched gem located in Central America. Depending on where you are in the States, you can fly into Guatemala City in a just a few hours thus making it a great option for American tourists.
I really wanted to understand Antigua’s history and culture above all else because it has such an interesting past. Being guided by a local instead of relying on blogs by foreign temporary residents made a huge different in our experience.
I would encourage you to contact Columbus Guatemala Travel directly for tours because no vlog can do this place justice and they can tailor program your itinerary.
I would definitely recommend taking their Chicken Bus tour through the little villages around Antigua too. It was such a unique experience and perfect for groups.

We explore Antigua, Guatemala for 2 days as we begin a multi-month Latin America trip. We try Guatemalan food for the first time and explore popular tourist sites throughout the city including the Santa Catalina Arch, Cerro de la Cruz (Hill of the Cross) and the San Fransisco Cathedral among others. We also prepare to hike Acatenango which will be in our next video!
