Are There Sharks in the Mediterranean Sea?

Are there sharks in the Mediterranean Sea? Specifically dangerous sharks such as the bull shark, lemon shark, blue shark, mako shark and of course the great white shark. This question worries many who are going on vacation to the Mediterranean basin countries, such as Portugal, Spain, France, Monaco, Greece, Malta, Turkey, Cyprus, Italy, Sicily and many others. There is also the question of dangerous sharks in Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Israel, Tunisia and other countries. Watch this video to answer this question forever.

The Dried up Aral Sea Eco-Disaster

Explorer/adventurer George Kourounis visits the Aral Sea in western Uzbekistan where wasteful irrigation practices by the former Soviet Union have drained most of the water, creating a vast ecological disaster. Rusting fishing boats lie in the desert sands that used to be rich fishing grounds.

I Found an Old Shipwreck in the Mediterranean Sea

This is Part 2 of my day of exploring on Kythnos island, Greece, in which I randomly spotted a submerged ship in the water. You can watch Part 1 here: I spoke with a local who said that the ship sank in 1945. His English was limited so I'm not certain if that is correct and he didn't explain anything further about the circumstances of the boat. If it sank in 1945 then of course it could be World War II related, or else just coincidental that it sunk at that time.

Through a tunnel! To the Mediterranean in a 17 ft boat: #15

It looks like we are going through a long pipe, and in some ways it is exactly what it is. But after we get out, we get a nice surprise in the lock: The lock keeper sells wine.

I am sailing to the Mediterranean on the European waterways in my 17 foot motorboat. In this episode my friend Peter do something crazy on the river Saône in France.

TIPS FOR LONG DISTANCE SAILING
Don't do the same mistakes as others, when you go far away by boat. Get my booklet (for $0!) here in English, Danish or Swedish:

Droning the JORDAN RIVER into the SEA OF GALILEE

Fly high above the winding Jordan River in Israel as it empties into the beautiful Sea of Galilee.

You can see everything from the Golan Heights to Mount Arbel.

See the land where Jesus of Nazareth walked and performed the majority of his ministry.

While travel is still shut down, we hope this Israel Collective drone footage brings a little of the Holy Land home to your screen.

The Israel Collective, an initiative of Christians United for Israel, was founded in 2014 by a team of young Christian leaders dedicated to building vibrant relationships between American Christians and the people of the Holy Land.

MAP OF THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA

hello my friends. this is a map of the mediterranean sea. The Mediterranean Sea is a sea connected to the Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by the Mediterranean Basin and almost completely enclosed by land: on the north by Western and Southern Europe and Anatolia, on the south by North Africa, and on the east by the Levant. The Sea has played a central role in the history of Western civilization. Although the Mediterranean is sometimes considered a part of the Atlantic Ocean, it is usually referred to as a separate body of water.

The Mediterranean Sea covers an area of about 2,500,000 km2, representing 0.7% of the global ocean surface, but its connection to the Atlantic via the Strait of Gibraltar—the narrow strait that connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea and separates the Iberian Peninsula in Europe from Morocco in Africa—is only 14 km wide. In oceanography, it is sometimes called the Eurafrican Mediterranean Sea, the European Mediterranean Sea or the African Mediterranean Sea to distinguish it from Mediterranean seas elsewhere. The Mediterranean Sea encompasses a vast number of islands, some of them being of volcanic origin. The two by far largest islands are Sicily and Sardinia. excuse me. please comment if you have been to the mediterranean sea. continuing..

The Mediterranean Sea has an average depth of 1,500 m and the deepest recorded point is 5,267 m in the Calypso Deep in the Ionian Sea. , from the Strait of Gibraltar to the Gulf of Iskenderun, on the southeastern coast of Turkey, is about 4,000 kilometers. The north–south length varies greatly between different shorelines and whether only straight routes are considered. Also including longitudinal changes, the shortest shipping route between the multinational Gulf of Trieste and the Libyan coastline of the Gulf of Sidra is about 1,900 kilometers. The water temperatures are mild in winter and warm in summer and give name to the Mediterranean climate type due to the majority of precipitation falling in the cooler months. Its southern and eastern coastlines are lined with hot deserts not far inland, but the immediate coastline on all sides of the Mediterranean tends to have strong maritime moderation.

The sea was an important route for merchants and travelers of ancient times, facilitating trade and cultural exchange between peoples of the region. The history of the Mediterranean region is crucial to understanding the origins and development of many modern societies. The Roman Empire maintained nautical hegemony over the sea for centuries.

The countries surrounding the Mediterranean in clockwise order are Spain, France, Monaco, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco; Malta and Cyprus are island countries in the sea. In addition, the disputed territory of Northern Cyprus, and some enclaves, notably Gibraltar and Ceuta, have coastlines on the sea. Alexandria is the largest coastal settlement. The drainage basin encompasses a large number of other countries, the Nile being the longest river ending in the Mediterranean Sea. thanks for listening. please subscribe for the best maps and for the love of the Mediterranean sea. bye. #mediterraneansea

Zahi Shaked A tour guide in Israel and his camera zahigo25@walla.com +972-54-6905522 tel סיור עם מורה הדרך ומדריך הטיולים צחי שקד 0546905522
My name is Zahi Shaked
In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.

Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.

In order to fulfill this calling in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)

Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, glide over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and see the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.
